Bobservations

This week Carlos is presenting at a seminar on the Hispanic community and HIV/AIDS in Columbia. And since it’s a two-day event I took him to Columbia Tuesday night—and we’ll meet friends for dinner—and then he’ll stay with another friend who is also heading to the seminar so I will have a couple of days to myself.

Cue the trumpets! Carlos never understands how I like being by myself—he loathes it—so I have been teasing him about all the things I’ll be doing this week, but to make himself feels better … cue sarcasm … I asked him to prepare three café con leches that I can keep in the fridge and heat up for my breakfast … and I asked him to prepare the cat’s meals for breakfast, dinner and snacks for two days and leave those in the fridge, too, so I can just set them out for the cats.

“Wow, you want me to get a ride home every morning to clean the litter boxes, too?”

“No, I’ll take care of that.”

You’ll do it.”

“Goddess no. I have called Ivan [the very beautiful young man who does some yard work for us] to stop by every morning and clean them … naked.”

Carlos nearly choked but the truth is, even for two-and-a-half days, I’ll miss him.

This Tuxedo Says is from May 2021:

I don’t know about you, but I think Tuxedo is onto something here. Liz? If you’re reading this, give him a call.

But then Liz showed us, again , that she would never sink that low because she puts America over the GOP.

I’m not sure, I am just guessing, but if you take your cakes into the shower with you, do they stay extra moist?

Jennifer Flavin, Sylvester Stallone’s wife, shared her stupid reasons why children of celebrities are more likely to identify as transgender:

“I just think Hollywood is, you know, it’s all about expression. So, you know, however you want to express yourself. If you feel like a cat today, you’re a cat. And it’s so loosey-goosey. I don’t think that we’re really understanding that these kids are not our accessories. They’re little human beings that need structure. And structure is really important for them because it helps their brain organize everything.”

Flavin also says celebrities’ wealth plays a part—not her kids mind you because she’s a better parent than everyone else—went on to speak about her own daughters Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet:

“It’s OK what you decide to be as an adult, but raise them just with good common sense … my daughters were tomboys. They preferred to wear pants than dresses, you know? And they loved sports. But I never said, ‘Oh, you’re a boy now.’ I just said, ‘You love to play sports, you love to hang out with boys, that’s awesome.'”

Oh, you’re a boy now, Jennifer? Is that how transgender works? Raise them to be decent, educated, accepting people, Jennifer, and pray to the almighty that they don’t decide to be cats … or you.

Speaking of trans I saw this on Facebook:

A man posed the question:

What’s the difference between:

A] Transwomen

B] Women

Let the tolerant crowd explain this one. I’ll get the popcorn.

And someone replied:

Trans women have only had to cover their drinks around you since they transitioned.

Happy to help.

I might have added, Now f*ck off.

Just a couple of new photos of the kitchen progress … I love the honey cabinets with the dark blue and both of those colors are subtly picked up in the countertops … which are about a week or so out. Then we’ll pick tile for the backsplash, hoping to find some Mexican tiles as accents.

Soon …..

Am I the only one who thinks it should be a much bigger deal, and something that should never be forgotten, that the Vice President of the United States rose to the defense of Young Republicans who openly spoke of their love for Hitler, slavery and raping women?

Never let JD forget what he said.

A spot of good news … here’s a list of some of the countries that also celebrated No Kings day with protests against Cankles:

Portugal … Spain … Netherlands … Norway … Sweden … Belgium … Czech Republic … Denmark … Finland … France … Germany … Italy … Ireland … United Kingdom … Canada … Mexico … Costa Rica … Japan … Australia.

We are not alone; our allies are global.

James Yates, a British model, has shot campaigns for the likes of Hugo Boss and Tom Ford and calls both LA and Australia home, so … Would You Hit It?

PS I would.

Bobservations

The other day Carlos asked if I could help him download some sheet music on the computer after work, so at the end of the day I gave him a call:

“I can help you with your little project, Mr. Harris.”

“Why are you calling me?”

“To help you with the sheet music!”

“I am in the other room.”

And?”

I.Kill.Me.

This Tuxedo memory is from January 2019 …

"The other night, while watching the telly, Tuxedo climbed into my lap, curled up and fell asleep. Ozzo walked over to Carlos, who tried to get Ozzo into his lap, but Ozzo knows who’s the boss, and when he looked at me for permission, I said:

“No.”

“It’s unfair. The cats can get on all the furniture, but Ozzo can’t.”

“The cats have retractable claws. Ozzo doesn’t and he can ruin the furniture.”

“But Tuxedo is in your lap, why can’t Ozzo sit in mine.”

“Because there are different rules for dogs and cats in this house, just like there are different rules for white people and Mexicans.”

Ouch. Lucky for me, he laughed ... and then started building a wall."

The good news is, that while I have a vile sense of humor, Carlos gets it, and he loves it.

Christopher Meloni standing there, perhaps buck nekkid, and holding that weight is … is … I don’t know what it is but I love looking at it.

Several prominent Democratic figures are set to speak at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this month … from President Joe Biden, former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

President Jimmy Carter’s grandson Jason Carter is also confirmed to be speaking as a representative for his grandfather who recently said he wants to live long enough to vote for Kamala Harris.

I saw this on Facebook this morning, with the question: Well, he certainly has a type, doesn’t he?

Apparently Joaquin Phoenix was all set to star in an NC-17 gay romance film that he  created and championed and was set to be directed by the acclaimed Todd Haynes until this week when he abruptly dropped out.

No word from Phoenix but the rumor is he became a’scurred of playing gay in some of the more explicit scenes in the film—which, again, he endorsed—but maybe someone else could step into the role …

Cue Anthony Bowens, an out professional wrestler, responded to a post from actor and filmmaker Kit Williamson who posted:

“What this really proves is that studios are ONLY comfortable making high budget ‘gay movies’ if there’s a straight lead. Even in a Todd Haynes movie. Even if it means losing 7 figures. They’re not interested in recasting, [because] a gay actor, to them, can never be a ‘star.'”

And now Bowen has tossed his, um, hat, into the ring and all I can say is, I’d see Bowen in the film before shelling out my hard-earned coins for a “gay” Joaquin.

Olympic women's boxing champion Imane Khelif certainly endured more punishment outside the ring than inside as right-wing trolls launched a barrage of lies about her gender and gender identity so now Khelif has brought a criminal complaint against some high-profile individuals, including transphobic bigots and morons like  J.K. Rowling and Elon Musk.

Rowling and Mush have both been named in a criminal complaint filed to French authorities over alleged 'acts of aggravated cyber harassment' against Khelif. Her lawyer, Nabil Boudi, filed a legal complaint with a special unit in the Paris prosecutor's office that combats online hate speech.

Good. You can have your hate thought, and your lies, but when you spread it around there can be consequences.

Listen, if celebrities want to get plastic surgery to keep their career going or feed their ego I am not one to complain, BUT … why do they all start looking like Asian women?

Coen Koch is a model and a personal trainer from Amsterdam,  and an all-around hot nugget but that’s just me … Would You Hit It?

Bobservations

I found a joke on Facebook and thought it funny and decided to share it with Carlos; it went like this:

“A priest, a minister and a rabbit walk into a bar, and the rabbit says. … ‘I think I’m a typo.’”

Carlos says: “A type O?”

I had to explain it to him. Cut to a few hours later and he comes to me with jokes of his own:

“Two atoms are walking down the street when they run into each other. The first says to the second, ‘Are you all right? You don't look so good.’

The second atom says: ‘I'm not feeling very well. I lost an electron!’

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm positive!"

And he follows that up with:

“A chicken crossed the road and went into a bar.”

I ask if that’s the whole joke and he says:

“Nope, it’s a completely different joke.”

Feel my pain.

This Tuxedo Memory is from March 2015 and also involves both Consuelo and MaxGoldberg … and is entitled, “Well ... I Was Gonna Make The Bed!”

Gosh I miss those two cats, though Consuelo is still a pretty little love bug.

This week Mississippi GOP Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith blocked a Senate bill to protect IVF treatment on a federal level saying it was an issue that should be left up to the states. But she had another reason: she said … on the floor of the Senate … that the bill “would legalize the creation of human-animal chimeras.”

You cannot make this shiz up.

A Thing 45 supporter, seated next to an older woman on an airplane, turned to her and said, “Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”

The old woman, who had just started to read her book, asked: “What would you want to talk about?”

“Oh, I don’t know. How about how they stole the election in 2020 and _____ should be president.”

The woman replied: “Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff—grass—yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?”

The man was surprised by the old woman’s question, and said, “I have no idea.”

And the woman replied, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss politics, when you don’t know shit?”

Snap!

Texas Tech defensive back Tyler Owens is considered one of the fastest prospects in the 2024 NFL draft class. I guess it’s good that he has those talents because Owens also said he doesn’t “believe in space” or “other planets” and subscribes to flat-earth theories that he finds “interesting” and that have “valid points.”

Clearly he’s spent most of his life on the field and very little in class.

MAGAts spend a lot of time talking about their patriotism and it was on full display at the latest Thing 45 rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, when the woman asked to sing the National Anthem forgot the words; she was followed up by a man chosen to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and he, too, forgot the words.

Just sayin’.

I saw this on Facebook … and it’s brilliant. If you have not read Eric Swalwell's questions to Hunter Biden during his hearing, here’s a snippet:

SWALWELL: Any time your father was in government, prior to the Presidency or before, did he ever operate a hotel?

BIDEN: No, he has never operated a hotel.

SWALWELL: So he’s never operated a hotel where foreign nationals spent millions at that hotel while he was in office?

BIDEN: No, he has not.

SWALWELL: Did your father ever employ in the Oval Office any direct family member to also work in the Oval Office?

BIDEN: My father has never employed any direct family members, to my knowledge.

SWALWELL: While your father was President, did anyone in the family receive 41 trademarks from China?

BIDEN: No.

SWALWELL: As President and the leader of the party, has your father ever tried to install as the chairperson of the party a daughter-in-law or anyone else in the family?

BIDEN: No. And I don’t think that anyone in my family would be crazy enough to want to be the chairperson of the DNC.

SWALWELL: Has your father ever in his time as an adult been fined $355 million by any State that he worked in?

BIDEN: No, he has not, thank God.

SWALWELL: Anyone in your family ever strike a multibillion-dollar deal with the Saudi Government while your father was in office?

BIDEN: No.

SWALWELL: That’s all I’ve got.

And that’s all you need.

Domenique Melchior was a winner on Australia’s Next top Model, but that’s neither here nor there: Would You Hit It?
