Know The Facts and ...

Here's some information, some facts, of what's happening in this country and what  we want, what we’re getting, and how do we make our needs heard …

An ICE officer walked up to a Southwest gate at a Dallas airport and said he needed to board the plane. The gate agent asked a simple question:

“Do you have a warrant signed by a judge?”

He replied ‘No,’ but said he had an administrative warrant—a form ICE fills out for itself. It is not a judicial warrant and does not give an officer the right to walk down a jet bridge.

So the agent said, ‘No.’ The ICEstapo asked for the passenger list and was again told, ‘No.’ He asked to look at the computer screen while people boarded, so he could see the names himself. No again.

Three refusals. He left without an arrest.

Here's what makes this matter beyond one flight. The ICEstapo counts on people not knowing the difference between the two kinds of warrants. That confusion is the tool. It is how doors get opened that don't legally have to be opened.

One person at a gate knew the difference and acted on it, alone, mid-shift, with no lawyer standing behind them and no guarantee anyone would ever hear about it.

That's not a small thing. That's the whole thing. Know your rights.

That’s The Resistance.

Here’s a quick message to all sane Republicans and I know you’re out there:

He pardoned 1600 violent criminals and you said nothing.

He bulldozed the East Wing and you said nothing.

He interfered with the release of the Epstein Files and you said nothing.

He took over the Kennedy Center and named it after himself and you said nothing.

He accepted a $400 million gift from a  foreign government and you said nothing.

He threatened Canada, Cuba, Denmark, Greenland, Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil and you said nothing.

He tariffed just about everyone but Russia, causing inflation and instability worldwide and you said nothing.

He attacked a nation during mediated negotiations and you said nothing.

His ill-conceived war killed 175 children on day one and you said nothing.

He alienated and insulted our allied and you said nothing.

His ICEstapo terrorized and murdered US citizens and you said nothing.

He committed murder on the high seas and you said nothing.

He co-opted the Department of Justice and directed it to prosecute his enemies and you said nothing.

It’s time you start talking.

Attorney General Todd Blanche AKA the President’s Personal Attorney said:

“I’m not sure of the uproar of having Border Patrol or ICE at a polling station. What’s the risk?”

Here’s the answer, Todd:

Because it’s illegal. Federal statute 18 U.S.C. § 592 prohibits deploying “troops or armed men” to locations where elections are held, to prevent interference and intimidate.

You’d think the so-called Attorney General would know that.

Now, let’s talk about the GOP and their campaign of fear regarding transgender athletes and show some facts:

There are more active Ku Klux Klan chapters in this country than there are trans athletes.

There have been more child marriages in this country this year than there are trans athletes.

There have been more school shootings in America in 2026 than there are trans athletes.

There are more antigovernment extremist groups in almost every single state in this country than there are trans athletes.

It’s not trans athletes; it’s fear mongering and hate speech.

And the lies don’t stop … Cankles is taking credit for the cost of prescription drugs prices falling 3.1%, the biggest drop since 1963 but … Medicare’s first negotiated drug prices kicked in this year, cutting prices on 10 major drugs by 38% to 79% because of ...

Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.

A law that not one single Republican voted for and yet they are taking credit.

Jeff Bezos, one of the richest men in the world, wants YOU—not me because I don’t buy anything from  Amazon—to tip his employees during these hot summer months.

I guess $40 to $80 million a day doesn’t buy as many bottles of water as we thought.

EAT THE RICH!

So, if it’s safe to mail Tax Refunds, Social Security Checks, Stimulus Checks, Prescription Drugs, Passports, Driver’s Licenses or the actual ID that you need to vote, then why isn’t is safe to Vote By Mail?

Asking for a country.

I understand why people are having such a hard time deciding which party to vote for in the Midterms.

I mean, the Democrats may have disappointed you.

And then with Republicans you have Child-Raping Murderers running Concentration Camps with our Tax Dollars draining the US Treasury directly into their Offshore Bank Accounts while making the Planet uninhabitable and the Food Poisonous.

It’s a real Sophie’s Choice, isn’t it?

So Vote as if ...

Your skin is not white

You need medical care

Your spouse is an immigrant

Your land is on fire

Your child is transgender

Your home is flooded

Your sister is a victim of gun violence

Your brother is gay

Your water is unsafe

Your daughter is a sexual assault survivor

Privilege has no place in elections but empathy does.

And this is your reminder that no federal election in the United States has ever been canceled or postponed due to war or any other reason.

The US Constitution does not grant any President any authority to unilaterally delay or cancel a federal election.

Period.

Bobservations

I have often said to Carlos that if I ever decided that our relationship has run its course, that he was be the first person, other than myself, to know about.

That time has come and I explained to him that I was attracted to someone else and perhaps I would be moving on …

This Tuxedo Says comes to us from December 12/10/2020:

Tuxedo, sadly, cannot vote, but he is growing ever more furious at the way this country works.

Last week, after the g-ICE-stapo tried to enter Dodger stadium and the team owners refused them entry, the Los Angeles Dodgers organization announced that they will donate $1 million to families impacted by recent immigration raids. Dodgers’ president and CEO Stan Kasten said:

“What’s happening in Los Angeles has reverberated among thousands upon thousands of people, and we have heard the calls for us to take a leading role on behalf of those affected. We believe that by committing resources and taking action, we will continue to support and uplift the communities of Greater Los Angeles.”

City of Angels to the rescue.

This year, the Stonewall National Monument in New York City is displaying only the traditional Rainbow Pride flag, excluding transgender and progress flags during Pride Month. This decision by the National Park Service [NPS] has led to criticism and protests, with some activists and visitors planting their own flags in defiance.

The Stonewall National Monument is the first US National Monument dedicated to LGBTQ+ rights, having been designated as such in 2016 by President Barack Obama. It has since become tradition for the monument to be adorned with various Pride flags, including the trans flag with the NPS funding installation of the flags until this year when the NPS told photographer, advocate, and installation creator Steven Love Menendez that the park will not allow Trans or Progress Pride flags this year; Menendez says:

“I used to be listed as an LGBTQ activist, and now it says ‘Steven Menendez, LGB activist [because] they took out the Q and the T.”

Erasing our trans brothers and sisters.

You gotta love the idea of muscular men in onesies grabbing at each other  and their nice taut cakes …

Mads Mikkelsen, a 21-year-old Norwegian tourist claims that when he landed at Newark Airport in New Jersey on June 11 he was detained and put in a cell while authorities searched his phone and found that image up there … a meme he made of JD Vance.

Authorities are now saying Mikkelsen was not denied entry for any memes or political reasons, it was for his admitted drug use.

But wouldn’t it be wild if that meme took off?

There are rumors that Kid Rock and Lauren Gropert are an item, and the couple have been spotted out and about in DC.

Just remember that the United States had a nuclear weapons treaty with Iran until a reality show host tore that agreement up because he was jealous of a Black man’s accomplishment. And then the butt-hurt asshat got pissy when his parade flopped and decided to bomb Iran.

Christian Bale is building a $22 million foster care village in Palmdale, California, called "Together California" which aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for foster siblings to stay together. It will feature 12 homes, studio apartments, and a community center. Bale said he was inspired by the challenges faced by foster children, particularly the separation of siblings, and hoped to create a place where children can feel a sense of belonging and family.

Nice guy, eh?

Arthur Kulkov is one of the few highly successful Russian male models and has been prominently featured in American publications such as GQ and Details but the question is … Вы бы ударили его? I mean, Would You Hit It?

Just The Facts, Man; Barack Obama Was A Far Better President Than The Convicted Felon

After celebrating Barack Obama Day, we still have The Felon’s supporters saying that they suffered under Obama’s eight years, so let’s just take a stroll back in time …

The day Obama took office, the Dow closed at 7,949 points. Eight years later, the Dow had almost tripled.

General Motors and Chrysler were on the brink of bankruptcy, with Ford not far behind, and their failure, along with their supply chains, would have meant the loss of millions of jobs. Obama pushed through a controversial, $80 billion bailout to save the car industry. The U.S. car industry survived, started making money again, and the entire $80 billion was paid back, with interest.

While we remain vulnerable to lone-wolf attacks, no foreign terrorist organization has successfully executed a mass attack here since 9/11.

Obama ordered the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden.

He drew down the number of troops from 180,000 in Iraq and Afghanistan to just 15,000, and increased funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

He launched a program called Opening Doors which, since 2010, has led to a 47 percent decline in the number of homeless veterans. He set a record 73 straight months of private-sector job growth.

Due to Obama’s regulatory policies, greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 12%, production of renewable energy more than doubled, and our dependence on foreign oil was cut in half.

He signed The Lilly Ledbetter Act, making it easier for women to sue employers for unequal pay.

His Omnibus Public Lands Management Act designated more than 2 million acres as wilderness, creating thousands of miles of trails and protecting over 1,000 miles of rivers.

He reduced the federal deficit from 9.8 percent of GDP in 2009 to 3.2 percent in 2016.

For all the inadequacies of the Affordable Care Act, we seem to have forgotten that, before the ACA, you could be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition and kids could not stay on their parents’ policies up to age 26.

Obama approved a $14.5 billion system to rebuild the levees in New Orleans.

All this, even as our own Mitch McConnell famously asserted that his singular mission would be to block anything President Obama tried to do.

While Obama failed on his campaign pledge to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay, that prison’s population decreased from 242 to around 50.

He expanded funding for embryonic stem cell research, supporting groundbreaking advancement in areas like spinal injury treatment and cancer.

Credit card companies can no longer charge hidden fees or raise interest rates without advance notice.

Most years, Obama threw a 4th of July party for military families. He held babies, played games with children, served barbecue, and led the singing of “Happy Birthday” to his daughter Malia, who was born on July 4.

Welfare spending is down: for every 100 poor families, just 24 receive cash assistance, compared with 64 in 1996.

Obama comforted families and communities following more than a dozen mass shootings. After Sandy Hook, he said, “The majority of those who died today were children, beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old.”

Yet, he never took away anyone’s guns........

He sang Amazing Grace, spontaneously, at the altar.

He was the first president since Eisenhower to serve two terms without personal or political scandal.

He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

President Obama was not perfect, as no man and no president is, and you can certainly disagree with his political ideologies. But to say we suffered?

If that’s the argument, if this is how we suffered for 8 years under Barack Obama, I have one wish: may we be so fortunate as to suffer 8 more.

Why Is It ...

… that when I was at the doctor’s recently the nurse asked me to step on the scale; I was told there’d be no fact checking.

… that at my age getting lucky means finding my car in the parking lot.

… that people don’t realize that not only am I not a perfect person and I am also not trying to be a better person.

… that I may look normal,  but I talk to myself and then laugh afterwards.

…  that when I see people arguing online I automatically believe whomever is spelling correctly and using proper grammar.

… that the way I stay indoors makes me feel like I’m becoming furniture.

… that I don’t like when people ask what I did over the weekend. I don’t know! I breathed a lot. Probably got mad a bit. Sighed heavily. The list goes on.

… that while I have a really good heart and I also have a smart mouth and I’m a little bit mean.

… that nobody is busier than me when I am not interested in you …  “Let me close the fridge and I’ll call you back.”

… that when I tell Alexa to remind me to go to the gym, she says, ‘I have added gin to your shopping list’ and I think, ‘Close enough.’
