Ain't That America VII

Well, what a week it's been in America … floods killed over a hundred people in Texas while the government twiddled … now a pair of GOPers are claiming Democrats control the weather … the Cult is real and they love being sent to one of Kristi’s Koncentration Kamps … TACO flipped and flopped on tariffs again … DUI hire Pete Hegseth overstepped after perhaps being over-served … and some good news from couple of spots, even from a Republican … The Felon in tights …

Under pressure from worried farmers and hotel owners, The Felon’s regime put on their Flip Flops to launch a program to streamline issuing visas for temporary, migrant workers to try to make sure fruits get picked, meat is packed and lodgings are cleaned.

I have a suggestion … create a pathway for citizenship to every immigrant and just round up and deport the criminals.

Multiple governors say they’re being increasingly pushed to scrounge for disaster recovery money without the support they traditionally rely on from the federal government. The Felon has the sole power to issue disaster declarations, but states are finding emergencies that would usually qualify for federal assistance are being slow-walked or denied in recent months.

Well, what do they expect? He’s busy helping the 1%.

As FEMA responds to the deadly flooding in Texas, one key resource is missing: FEMA leader. David Richardson, the agency’s acting administrator. He has not been to the site of one of the nation’s deadliest floods in this country in the past 25 years.

Former FEMA officials said Richardson’s absence raises concerns that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem AKA Border Barbie AKA Dogkiller AKA Koncentration Kamp Kristi is controlling FEMA’s response.

The Felon announced plans to impose a 50% tariff on all goods from Brazil, in part due to the prosecution of former President Jair Bolsonaro over an alleged plot to remain in power after losing an election.

Criminals stick together.

The Felon is so dumb? How dumb is he? So dumb that he praised Liberian President Joseph Boakai for speaking “such good English.” Odd,. Cuz Liberia’s official language is … English … while The Felon’s is blabbering bull shit.

Immigrants being detained in federal holding rooms in Lower Manhattan have complained of being unable to bathe or change clothes, cramped conditions, sometimes being provided just one meal a day, and sleeping on concrete benches or the floor.

But they’re brown people so, yeah, the regime doesn’t care.

GOP Representative, and certified asshatted loon, Tim Burchett has cosponsored Marjorie Taylor Greene’s House bill that would ban supposed weather control by the Democrats.

Yes, that’s what they believe and, well, say it’s, true … could Democrats send a hurricane to Large Marge’s house and slide a tornado over Burchett’s home?

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth did not inform the White House before he authorized a pause on weapons shipments to Ukraine, setting off a scramble inside the administration to understand why the halt was implemented and explain it to Congress and the Ukrainian government and the so-called president.

At a press conference, when asked who authorized the pause, the inept, confused, demented, hate-filled lump of gelatinous rotted flesh AKA The Felon, said:

“I don’t know, why don’t you tell me?”

Sounds like a well-oiled machine, doesn’t it?

The TACO is insisting ::: foot stomp head snap ::: that the August 1 tariff deadline set this week in letters to U.S. trading partners is firm and won’t change though it’s the opposite of what he said earlier in the week when he said the deadline was “firm but not 100% firm.”

Flabbier than his fat ass.

After the Big Billionaire Bill passed both the House and Senate, Wisconsin GOP Representative Derrick Van Orden responded to this Tweet:

“17 million people just lost health care. 18 million kids just lost school meals. 3 million Americans just lost food assistance.”

… with:

“YES!”

When they tell you who they are, believe them, and Van Orden has told you he is a goose-stepping fascist who works for The Felon and The Billionaire Class, but does nothing for We The People.

USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins wants all the immigrants removed from the fields across America and replaced with people on Medicaid.

So, if you’re looking for your Nana to take her to her chemo treatment, check the corn fields.

Arpineh Masihi, a devout MAGAt is being held in a detention center in the Mojave Desert and wants y’all to know that she still supports The Felon.

Masihi was born in Iran but has been in the US since she was three. She became a target for ICE over crimes committed 17 years ago, was arrested in June, and says this from her detention cell

“He’s doing the right thing because lots of these people don’t deserve to be here. I will support him until the day I die. He’s making America great again.”

And they say it’s not a cult. Good luck back in Iran, dear.

A federal judge has once again barred the regime from enforcing The Felon’s executive order limiting birthright citizenship.

US District Judge Joseph Laplante made the ruling after immigrant rights advocates implored him to grant class action status to a lawsuit they filed seeking to represent any babies whose citizenship status would be threatened by implementation of the regime’s racist directive.

One step forward …

North Carolina GOP Senator Thom Tillis has a warning for the regime as he finishes out his time in office:

“The president should know if there is anyone coming up for a nomination through any committee of my jurisdiction that excuse January 6 that they’re not going to get confirmed in my remaining tenure in the US Senate.”

Tillis is still angry about the violent events that unfolded after The Felon sent a mob of criminals, drug dealers and rapists to attack the US Capitol to protest the 2020 election results.

With little discussion, the Pittsburgh City Council unanimously passed three bills intended to provide further safeguards to LGBTQ+ citizens: the first bill prohibits the withholding or denial of elective medical care based on a person’s real or perceived gender identity or expression; the second bill aims to pre-emptively shield the LGBTQ community against being barred from society by future federal legislation; the third bill lessens the legal penalty for engaging in sex work from a misdemeanor to a summary offense.

Good on Pittsburgh.

Federal immigration agents would be banned from wearing most face coverings but be required to wear visible ID during public enforcement operations, according to a proposal from Democratic U.S. Senators Alex Padilla and Cory Booker.

If the ICEstapo is doing nothing wrong, then show yourselves, identify yourselves.

In a new documentary, Surviving Ohio State, survivors of sexual predator Dr. Richard Strauss say Ohio Republican Representative Jim Jordan knew about the sexual abuse the student-athletes suffered and did nothing about it.

Jordan declined to be interviewed for the documentary, but his name is frequently brought up by former Ohio State wrestlers and a referee.

Jordan knew and did nothing; he’s complicit.

And now for a laugh … The Felon was ridiculed last week after the White House posted an image of the gelatinous lump of flesh as Superman with the tagline:

“THE SYMBOL OF HOPE. TRUTH. JUSTICE. THE AMERICAN WAY. SUPERMAN [_____].”

Of course, people had words:

“Guess the Epstein list is your kryptonite, huh?”

“As a Trump voter, this is cringy as hell.”

“Just imagine the response if the Biden White House had posted something like this. But Trump is graded on some kind of never-seen-before curve and this craziness is normalized.”

The AI hilarity is right next to the real blubbering tool.

PS MAGAts are up in arms because the director of the new Superman film, James Gunn, keeps reminding them that Superman is an immigrant!

So there we have it, another week of madness and sadness and fascism and racism down, and another week closer to the midterms where you know what to do ...

I Didn't Say It ...

President Biden, issuing pardons to LGBTQ+ service members previously discharged for their sexual orientation or gender identity under Don’t Ask Don’t Tell:

“Today, I am righting a historic wrong by using my clemency authority to pardon many former service members who were convicted simply for being themselves. Our nation’s service members stand on the frontlines of freedom and risk their lives in order to defend our country. Despite their courage and great sacrifice, thousands of LGBTQI+ service members were forced out of the military because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Some of these patriotic Americans were subject to court-martial and have carried the burden of this great injustice for decades.”

Biden’s clemency for LGBTQ+ veterans corrects a dark time when the military prosecuted individuals under Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which prohibited gay sex and was in place from 1951 until 2013.

Estimates are that approximately 100,000 service members have been expelled from the military because of their sexual orientation since World War II, including more than 13,000 under DADT between 1994 and 2011. The practical impact for those convicted under such discriminatory policies will allow veterans to access benefits they have long been denied.

That’s my president, doing what’s right and fair and just.

Kevin Roberts, president of Hate Group the Heritage Foundation, having a spat with MSNBC’s Symone Sanders:

“Abortion’s not healthcare. I find it really interesting, if not worse, that you wouldn’t support the change of the [Health and Human Services] department’s name to the Department of Life. I thought we were all in support of life. Why aren’t we talking about the people who are supporting legislation that abortion can happen until three days after the person’s born? Abortion is not healthcare. Abortion is the murder of a human being.”

Yes, he suggests Democrats would be fine with abortion after birth and doesn’t see the ignorance of his claim. But then he says he cares about life but children slaughtered by madmen with guns in schools doesn’t bother him at ll.

Ass.Hat.

Kurt Vonnegut, American author, on faux-Christians:

“For some reason, the most vocal Christians among us never mention the Beatitudes (Matthew 5). But, often with tears in their eyes, they demand that the Ten Commandments be posted in public buildings. And of course, that’s Moses, not Jesus. I haven’t heard one of them demand that the Sermon on the Mount, the Beatitudes, be posted anywhere. ‘Blessed are the merciful’ in a courtroom? ‘Blessed are the peacemakers’ in the Pentagon? Give me a break.”

Typical Christians picking and choosing the parts of the Bible that fit their hate of ‘others.’

God is watching and She is not happy.

Charlie Kirk, showing his special brand of illiterate crazy on his wee podcast, talking about Democrats:

“They’ve never loved this country. They have bitterness for it. And they see [Hair Furor] as a true threat because he is a threat. He is an existential threat to their regime. He brings you, the American people, into the fight. Yes, it is a tipping point. Yesterday is a day like any other. It will go down in the memory of the nation like the JFK assassination, like 9/11. It’ll go down like the 2008 financial crisis, it’ll go down like COVID, it’ll go down like the 2016 election. You will remember where you were on May 30. Relief Factor. 100% drug-free relief. So check it out—knee pain, back pain, joint pain. Check it out right now.”

Seriously, he thinks anyone will remember where they were when Hair Furor was found guilty of  … something? Which time???

photo

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, New York Democrat Representative, on this election, women’s rights, and SCOTUS:

“It’s been two years since six conservative justices toppled Roe v. Wade and our freedom over our bodies was seized by the most corrupt president in US history … Now women have less rights today, in 2024, than our parents and grandparents did. And if he wins in November you better believe [The Felon] and a Republican Congress will pass a national abortion ban. That alone is enormous reason why we must reelect Joe Biden.”

This isn’t fear, this is fact. The GOP, led by The Felon, will strip more health care rights away from women, and take Social Security away from every American, while rewarding the 1% with tax breaks.

Ain’t that America.

photo

Thom Tillis, North Carolina Republican, on whether presidents should have absolute immunity:

“I don’t believe anybody deserves absolute immunity. You know, the fact of the matter is that’s the last thing I’d want to do. That sounds a whole lot like the position we got rid of when we fought the Revolutionary War. Kings have absolute immunity. I don’t believe presidents should.”

Be careful, sir, Hair Furor may come after you.

photo

Larry Hogan, former Maryland Governor, and current GOP Maryland Senate candidate, saying he would vote to codify Roe v. Wade, “so every woman can make her own choice”:

“As governor, I promised to uphold Maryland law on abortion, while providing over-the-counter birth control covered by insurance and I kept my word. Today, with Roe overturned, many have asked what I’ll do in the United States Senate. I’ll support legislation that makes Roe the law of the land, in every state, so every woman can make her own choice … because no one should come between a woman and her doctor.”

I hope he’s being honest and not just pandering for votes …

I Didn't Say It ... The GOP Comes For Their Own But Is It Too Little Too Late?

Thom Tillis, GOP Senator from North Carolina, blasting #MoscowMarge in a leaked audio recording:

“I think she is uninformed, she is a total waste of time, and I’m embarrassed to have actually lived geographically in her district at one time before she was there. She is a horrible leader. She is dragging our brand down. She, not the Democrats, are the biggest risk to us getting back to a majority.”

photo

Tony Gonzales, GOP Representative from Texas, on CNN’s State Of The Union, on GOP scumbags in Congress:

“I served 20 years in the military. It’s my absolute honor to be in Congress, but I serve with some real scumbags! Matt Gaetz, he paid minors to have sex with him at drug parties. Bob Good endorsed my opponent, a known neo-Nazi. These people used to walk around with white hoods at night. Now they’re walking around with white hoods in the daytime. Look, it didn’t surprise me that some of these folks voted against aid to Israel, but I was encouraged to see by a nearly 10-to-1 mark that Republicans supported our allies on the battlefield.”

photo

Mike Lawler, New York Republican Representative, on the move by Matt Gaetz and other pissy Republicans trying to oust Mike Johnson as Speaker:

“Some of these folks have nobody to blame but themselves for why Speaker Johnson’s hand in negotiations has been weakened. I look at this very simply. In October, the House was thrown into chaos by Matt Gaetz and seven useful idiots that teamed up with him within the Republican Conference and 208 Democrats. And at this moment, when you see what happened in the aftermath of vacating the chair and Israel attacked in a terrorist attack a week later, to do that again would be detrimental to the country and global security.”

photo

Dan Crenshaw, Texas GOP Representative, also taking on the pissy  GOP bitches in Congress;

“I guess their reasoning is they want Russia to win so badly that they want to oust the Speaker over it. I mean that’s a strange position to take. I think they want to be in the minority too. I think that’s an obvious reality. I’m still trying to process all the bullshit. To be clear, he’s being threatened for even allowing a vote to come to the floor. For allowing the constitutional process to play out as intended by our Founders. That’s a wild thing to consider, especially when his enemies consider themselves ‘conservative.’ Not conserving the painstaking constitutional process our Founders created, that’s for sure. Conserving Putin’s gains on the battlefield, more like it.”

photo

James Lankford, GOP Senator from Oklahoma, agreeing with Fox host Neil Cavuto that the border crisis is the fault of Hair Furor:

“It was and it is painful to be able to watch. It got stirred up in all the presidential politics and several of my colleagues started looking for ways after President Trump said, ‘Don’t fix anything during the presidential election. It’s the single biggest issue during the election, don’t resolve this, we’ll resolve it next year.’ Quite a few of my colleagues backed up and looked for a reason to be able to shoot against it and then walked away. My issue is if we’re pursuing everything, we very often end up with nothing. If we’re pursuing someone coming later to fix it, later seems to never come. When we have a moment to fix things, we should fix as many things as we can, then come back later and fix the rest. He’s got an office that he’s running for. He’s got a campaign that he’s running, I’m already in office, I’ve got a responsibility to be able to carry on this.”

photo

But here’s the problem: too little too late.

While you may be speaking out against the asshats in your party now, where were these conversations last year or the year before. Gaetz and Greene have been idiots and disgraces in Congress but y’all said nothing because you had a majority. Y’all knew hair Furor was trying to sabotage a border deal to make Biden look bad but the only people with egg on their faces are members of the GOP who goose-stepped along with him.

Thanks for speaking up, but now you should try to act up.

Vote Blue. Here's Another Slew of Reasons Why

Here we are again, with a wee taste of the lunacy, racism, criminality, and bigotry and hate inside the GOP …

GOP Senator, and Confederate statue, Mitch McConnell has admitted that Republicans will not help solve the border crisis with President Biden because it would make Biden look good and maybe help him win in November.

It’s not a surprise really, because the GOP rails about the border during election years and then says nothing, and does  nothing, at other times.

It’s not about solving the problem it’s about the GOP hoping to stay in power so maybe this time, maybe, we should vote them all out of office since they don’t want to work for the country that hired them.

Down in Mississippi, the Republicans are trying to make it impossible for the people of the state from voting on abortion rights.

House Concurrent Resolution 11 which, to be fair, is still several legislative steps from becoming law, would give citizens the ability to gather signatures to propose new state laws or change existing laws, but it bans the people of Mississippi from placing an issue on a statewide ballot about abortion.

I know it won’t happen any time soon, but the people of Mississippi need to clean House, and the Senate, in their state.

This week former GOP House chair Liz Cheney accused her successor Elise Stefanik of deleting a press release from 2021 condemning protesters who stormed the Capitol on January 6. In Stefanik’s 2021 press release, she condemned the “violence and destruction” on that day and called for the perpetrators to be prosecuted. And now she’s changed her tune and deleted the press release.

Elise Stefanik is trying to rewrite history because she hopes to be the Pussy Groper’s Veep.

In other Insurrection news, South Carolina Republican Nancy Mace was so angry at Hair Furor during the attack on the Capitol that she discussed with aides the prospect of confronting the rioters so she could get punched and become the face of anti-Thing 45 Republicans.

Seriously. Mace also declared to her staff during the riot that she was a “never-Trumper” while she was hiding with staff in her office on that day.

Then she said she supported him, and then she said she didn't.

The Oklahoma Republican Party approved a resolution condemning and censuring GOP Senator James Lankford because he was working with Democrats and President Biden to pass a bipartisan border deal.

The Oklahoma GOP is punishing a man for doing the work for which he was hired because he was working with Democrats while his own party sits on their hands and does nothing but complain.

But that's the GOP way.

Iowa Republican lawmakers have again proposed removing protections against discrimination for transgender people from the Iowa Civil Rights Act and this time a key committee chair, GOP Representative Steven Holt, is open to the conversation.

Think on that … they want to legalize discrimination; sure they’re starting with transgender Americans, but soon it will be the gay Americans, and then any other group that doesn’t fit the GOP straight white male agenda.

Also in Iowa, a new bill in the House of Representatives would make it a legal requirement for public school students and teachers in grades 1-12 to sing the national anthem every day. Physically able students would need to “stand at attention” and “remove any headdress that is not being worn for religious purposes.”

VOTE THEM OUT.

Florida GOP Representative, and sexual predator, Matt Gaetz was adamant that his move to oust former Speaker Kevin McCarthy was rooted in policy disagreements and not a personal vendetta related to the congressional ethics investigation against him.

But in private, Gaetz told a different story, that his effort to undercut, isolate, and ultimately remove McCarthy was payback for the ethics probe.

Matt Gaetz is still under investigation for being a sexual predator.

Last week Alabama Death Row inmate Kenneth Eugene Smith became the first prisoner to die using a new untested method of execution in the United States—suffocation by nitrogen gas.

Word has it that the new method takes several minutes to run its course and the prisoner is writhing and screaming the entire time.

Alabama GOP Governor, and racist, Kay Ivey stated:

“I pray that Elizabeth Sennett’s family can receive closure after all these years dealing with that great loss.”

Why not just use a guillotine, Kay; or firing squad; or tar and feather him.

Republican South Dakota Governor, who once fired a state employee from her job and then gave that job to her own daughter, Kristi Noem says she will personally deliver razor wire to Republican Texas Governor, and human trafficker, Greg Abbott if federal agents interfere with his plans for the U.S.-Mexico border.

Kristi Noem; a faux Christian who condones murdering immigrants rather than work toward a border solution.

GOOD NEWS

Meanwhile, back at the border dispute discussions between Democrats and Republicans … tempers flared as Republicans battled among themselves over whether to accept or reject a deal for tougher immigration laws, with some pushing back on colleagues who want to bow to Hair Furor’s wishes to kill the deal.

But one sane member of the GOP, for at least this particular day, North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis urged his Republican colleagues not to make it all about politics at the behest of another candidate:

“I didn’t come here to have the president as a boss or a candidate as a boss. I came here to pass good, solid policy. It is immoral for me to think you looked the other way because you think this is the linchpin for [Hair Furor] to win.”

Tillia best be careful, or he’ll be censured like James Lankford because, again, the GOP doesn’t want to solve the immigration crisis; not when they can use it as a campaign tool every election cycle.

And on the Democrat side, here are some FACTS about the economy under President Biden …

And that’s just a small taste of GOP lunacy ... pardoning traitors for political points; gibberish speakers; anti-military criminals; lunatics and Big Liars; Christian Nationalist Nazi sympathizers; party over country fools; unfit for political office; liars and flip-floppers; and Texas.

So what do we do? We ...

Bobservations

First up … it was 19 years ago tomorrow when your world changed in an instant. Read their names HEREHERE and HERE.

And never forget.
Carlos cleans the bathrooms here at Casa Bob y Carlos. I don’t know why it’s become his chore, but it is, and, yeah, I’m good with it.

The other day he was cleaning the master bathroom and put the towels and bathmats in the washer. I was doing the laundry—that’s one of my chores and I don’t know why it’s become my chore, but it is, and, yeah, I’m good with it—and as I moved the towels to the dryer, I noticed a tear in one. Carlos was walking by and I said we needed to get some new towels as these were old—older than I realized—and Carlos agreed. I told him that he would not be picking the towels, he would be picking from my suggestions.

You see, the towels that were going to be removed, and donated to an animal shelter, were white with some thin blue and green stripes. But Carlos, a few years back on a whim, purchased another set of towels, and the ones he chose were ………. beige.

Beige. Flesh tone. They looked like they could have once been white but weren’t washed enough so now they permanently turned ………. beige. They looked like we doused ourselves in self-tanner and then used the towels to wipe it off ………. beige.

Carlos says:
“Beige is a pretty color.”
Carlos is on lockdown in the guestroom until he admits beige is not a color!

Fucking beige!
Isn’t it funny how the Occupant of the White can sit back and watch Americans die, lose their jobs, and their homes, and their health, and blame Obama and Biden when all of this mess started on his watch?

The fucker lied, and thousands of Americans died.

Now we KNOW that _____ knew about the virus in January, knew how contagious it was, knew that it would kill perhaps 5-times as many people as the flu, but said nothing … FUCKING NOTHING … because, he says, he didn’t want people to panic.

Yeah, 190,000 DEAD, millions sick, millions more out of work, thousands of businesses closed, people losing their homes  didn’t start a panic.

This motherfucker—and sorry for the f-bombs—is responsible for the deaths of nearly 200,000 people, and anyone who has been sick, who has lost a family member, a job, their home , a business because of COVID-19 but still supports and votes for this murderer can fuck off.

Now.

PS  Michael Elizabeth Pence knew, too. They are both complicit.
I need good news … when it comes to coming out, I believe every LGBTQ+ person should do it, but do it when the time is right for you. Take the story of a British woman named Aimee who filmed her grandmother coming out when grandma admitted:
"If I ever got involved with anybody again, it wouldn't be a man. It would be a woman. I do like women, I like women much more than men."
Aimee was stunned and then asked for clarification:
"...Well, I think boobs are nice... I think the penis, I'm not that keen on it!"
Grandma say she never came out before because it just wasn’t done, but now she’s ready to date again …perhaps a younger woman in her 60s?

Welcome out Grandma. And please accept as out gift from HOMO HQ, the Official coming Out Toaster Oven™ and your own copy of the Gay Agenda.

Welcome out, and I hope you find Miss Right very soon.
Ted Cruz has a crush on the 1987 cult classic film, The Princess Bride, but is butt-hurt at the idea that several cast members from the film—Robin Wright, Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Billy Crystal, and others—are reuniting for a live-streamed script reading to raise money for Democratic candidates. Cruz whined on social media:
“Do you hear that Fezzik? That is the sound of ultimate suffering. My heart made that sound when the six-fingered man killed my father. Every Princess Bride fan who wants to see that perfect movie preserved from Hollywood politics hates it now.”
Fuck off, asshat, it’s called Free Speech … like when ______ called your wife ugly, and you railed against him until he won the election and then you became his lapdog.

PS Cary Elwes trolling Cruz on Twitter is everything!
Bev Veals, a cancer survivor struggling to afford health care in North Carolina called her senator, Thom Tillis, a Republican because, of course, to try and get some assistance or advice but was told by a staffer that it’s just like clothing, if you can’t afford it, you don’t get it. Veals asked the staffer:
“You’re saying that, if you can’t afford it, you don’t get to have it, and that includes health care?”
The staffer replied:
“Yeah, just like if I want to go to the store and buy a new dress shirt. If I can’t afford that dress shirt, I don’t get to get it.”
And when Veals revealed she had cancer and needed healthcare the staffer told her:
“Sounds like something you’re going to have to figure it out.”
Tillis’s spokesman says the staffer has been disciplined.

I think that means they told the staffer to be sure he or she wasn’t being recorded the next time a constituent calls.
Now for a palate cleanser … American model Chris Folz. He really gives good face and good profile and rocks a widow’s peak like no one else since Eddie Munster.

Plus, he clearly loves tequila … Just sayin’.
