This Is The GOP & Why You Need To Vote Blue

Here we are again, with a wee taste of the lunacy, racism, criminality, and bigotry and hate inside the GOP and it’s going around the country …

CONGRESS

Eight Senate Republicans, head cheerleader Mike Lee of Utah, and Mean Girls J.D. Vance of Ohio, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, Eric Schmitt of Missouri, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Rick Scot and Marco Rubio of Florida, and Roger Marshall or Kansas, are vowing to oppose major legislation and Biden nominees led by the Democratic Senate, following the guilty verdicts for Hair Furor.

These eight traitors to their jobs and to the Constitution of the United States say they will oppose any increases to non-security related funding, Biden judicial and political nominations and “expedited consideration and passage” of Democratic legislation.

Of note, it was just last year when heavy rains left thousands stranded in the mud at Burning Man that Head Cheerleader of Hair Furor Mike Lee declared it to be God’s punishment for the attendees’ supposed promiscuity. But he has no problem with a serial adulterer, sexual predator who fucks porn stars and then lies and cheats to cover it up.

THAT’S the GOP.

FLORIDA

The Florida Board of Education approved several tweaks to the state’s standards for teaching social studies but left intact controversial pieces on Black history that sparked widespread backlash last year.

Florida’s new teaching standards include the same requirement that middle school students learn “how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.”

In addition lessons surrounding the 1920 Ocoee massacre and the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre will be labeled as violence perpetrated “against and by” African Americans.

Racism in the Sunshine State will be taught in schools.

TEXAS

University of Texas at Austin professor Daniel Bonevac, and others in the state university system, claim that “pregnancy is not a disease, and [therefore] elective abortions are not ‘health care.'”

He also claims that pregnancy is the result of “voluntary and consensual sexual intercourse”—never rape or incest—and students should not be allowed time off to get abortions. And if the students disobey and miss class for abortion care the professors should be allowed to flunk students.

Look at it like this: a college professor forces a female student into a sexual relationship if she wants to pass his class but if she gets pregnant and has an abortion, the professor can flunk her.

Texas needs to abort these asshatted professors.

Also in Texas ... according to the newly-adopted Texas Republican Party platform homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice and so there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin. The GOP also says they oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction, or belief in traditional values.

Texas hates fags.

LOUISIANA

First-of-its-kind legislation that classifies two abortion-inducing drugs as controlled and dangerous substances was signed into law by Louisiana GOP Governor Jeff Landry. Landry, clearly a moron, boasts that the drugs can still be obtained, even though medication abortion is illegal in his state.

The measure makes Louisiana the only state to categorize mifepristone and misoprostol in this way, adding them to Schedule IV of the state’s Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law.

The policy drew support from anti-abortion advocates and alarm from medical professionals and abortion-rights activists in a state where both medication and surgical abortion are illegal.

Louisiana hates women and doesn’t believe that have the right to control their own bodies.

COLORADO

The Colorado Republican Party is issuing a call to its members to pull their children from public school, saying Democrats are using schools to “turn more kids trans.”

Yes, Democrats have that much power.

Under the leadership of Colorado GOP Chairperson Dave Williams the state Republican Party has tacked to the hard right despite holding less electoral power than at any time since before World War II.

And since they have so little power, howsabout voting them all from office so they will have zero power?

SOUTH DAKOTA

A new South Dakota policy to stop the use of gender pronouns by public university faculty and staff in official correspondence is also keeping Native American employees from listing their tribal affiliations in a state with a long and violent history of conflict with tribes.

It came only months after Republican Governor , Liar and Dog Killer  Kristi Noem sent a letter to the regents that railed against “liberal ideologies” on college campuses and called for the board to ban drag shows on campus and “remove all references to preferred pronouns in school materials,” among other things.

All nine voting members of the board were appointed by Noem so it’s no surprise they goose-step behind her. As of now Kristi Noem has been banned from all tribal lands in her state.

Let’s follow that lead and ban her from office as soon as possible.

And that’s just a small taste of GOP lunacy ... anti-women’s rights, voter fraud, anti-transgender hate, traitors, anti-abortion rights, anti-LGBTQ+ and more.

So what do we do if we want more Good News? We ...

Vote Blue. Here's Another Slew of Reasons Why

Here we are again, with a wee taste of the lunacy, racism, criminality, and bigotry and hate inside the GOP … and let’s start with the Dog Killer:

SOUTH DAKOTA

Y’all know that dog killing liar Kristi Noem, has a book coming out but now her office is saying she will go back and correct some errors … like when she claimed to have met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un:

“I remember when I met with the North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. I’m sure he underestimated me, having no clue about my experience staring down little tyrants—I’d been a children’s pastor after all.”

Except that never happened though Noem’s spokesperson claims it was an “error” to include Kim in a list of world leaders who Noem has met. And other “corrections” in future editions will include removing a false claim about a conversation with Nikki Haley that never happened, and the time Noem says she declined French President Emmanuel Macron’s invitation to sit in his box during an Armistice Day Parade because he supposedly made “pro-Hamas comments.” His office says that “never” happened.

Noem stands by her lies as being “small errors.”

It’s not a stretch from Republican to liar, or even dog killer to liar.

On the upside, a county Republican group in Colorado has cancelled a fundraiser featuring Kristi Noem after she wrote gleefully about murdering her dog.

Jefferson County Republican Party Chair Nancy Pallozzi said that the group’s fundraising dinner was being cancelled “due to safety concerns” after the group, the governor and her staff, and the hotel hosting the event received “numerous threats and/or death threats.”

People don’t like dog killers.

SOUTH CAROLINA

Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto pushed back on a claim by Nancy Mace, the GOP Representative from South Carolina, who says that progressive billionaire George Soros funded the groups involved in pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses. Mace claimed:

“You’ve got groups that are funded by George Soros. There are Palestinian rights groups that I believe are involved, funded by George Soros, and they need to be off of our college campuses if they’re committing violence, full stop.”

Cavuto, no stranger to dealing with lying Republicans like Nancy Mace, said:

“There’s no proof that these are funded by George Soros, by the way… their folks have denied that.”

“We’ll agree to disagree, I guess.”

“I’ve just looked for the checks and I haven’t seen them yet.”

Nancy Mace is a Kristi Noem wannabe.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

The New Hampshire House passed a bill to raise the legal age of marriage to 18; Senate Bill 359 states that “no person below the age of 18 years shall be capable of contracting a valid marriage, and all marriages contracted by such persons shall be null and void.” Under present law, that age is 16.

But GOP Representative Jess Edwards argued that taking away the possibility of marriage could lead more 16- and 17-year-olds to abortion:

“If we continually restrict the freedom of marriage as a legitimate social option, when we do this to people who are a ripe, fertile age and may have a pregnancy and a baby involved, are we not in fact making abortion a much more desirable alternative, when marriage might be the right solution for some freedom-loving couples?”

Yes, he’s worried about sixteen-year-olds having abortions as opposed to forcing them to marry at that age.

ALABAMA

The House voted to make school and public library staff criminally liable for distributing “sexual or gender-oriented material” to minors without parental consent, placing libraries in the same category as “adult-only” stores, movies and entertainment. GOP Representative Arnold Mooney sponsored the legislation.

Seriously. And it would force school and public librarians to remove a book that someone finds obscene or harmful to minors within seven days of written notice to the library director or principal. If they don’t they could face a misdemeanor.

It’s unclear who will determine if the book is obscene.

SOUTH CAROLINA

During an interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker, GOP Senator Tim Scott—his head still up Hair Furor’s ass looking for that VP nod—repeatedly refused to commit to accepting the results of the 2024 election.

Yes, the election that hasn’t happened yet, he says will be rigged if Hair Furor doesn’t win. Welker tried, and tried, and tried again to get Scott to say he will accept the results of the 2024 election:

Will you commit to accepting the election results of 2024: Bottom line?”

“At the end of the day, the 47th president of the United States will be President Donald Trump.”

“Yes or no? Will you accept the election results of 2024 no matter who wins?”

“That is my statement.”

No, the statement is Tim Scott is a pandering, goose-stepping asshat who is doing Hair Furor’s bidding because he wants a high-profile spot in the Traitor’s administration.

TENNESSEE

GOP Governor Bill Lee plans to sign a bill state legislators sent to his desk that would allow school staff members to carry concealed handguns on school grounds:

“What’s important to me is that we give districts tools and the option to use a tool that will keep their children safe in their schools.”

No money for books or computers or more teachers to reduce class size, but a bill to allow teachers to carry weapons.

PENNSYLVANIA

GOP Representative Mike Kelly, an outspoken critic of President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, used the law to receive a grant to install solar panels at one of his car dealerships.

Kelly has long derided the Inflation Reduction Act, which made his grant possible, saying:

“The bill provides $375 billion in so-called ‘climate change’ legislation, which include $7,500 tax credits for wealthy Americans to purchase electric vehicles (EV).”

He voted that you can’t benefit from the Inflation Reduction Act, but he can.

GOP hypocrisy, and the fact that they think their constituents are stupid enough to fall for his lies.

TEXAS

GOP Representative Troy Nehls has repeatedly claimed to be the recipient of two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman Badge from his time serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, but a review of his service record by the Pentagon show Nehls received one—not two—Bronze Star medals. And his Combat Infantryman Badge from Afghanistan was revoked from his service record in 2023 because Nehls served as a civil affairs officer, not as an infantryman or Special Forces soldier.

Emily Matthews, Nehls’ press secretary, declined to discuss the matter or provide any explanation for the discrepancies.

More lies from Republicans.

GOODNEWS

GOP CONVENTION

NBC News interviewed more than 15 major corporate fundraisers and consultants with corporate clients, and many have expressed concern over a charged political climate that they worry could backfire on their brand or where an investment would not pay off.

They say that Hair Furor and the baggage that comes with backing him, and that slew of GOP liars, hypocrites and thieves I just mentioned, was most often cited as a consideration by many of the corporate donors and consultants to avoid any connection with the GOP and RNC.

Uh oh; if the RNC doesn’t get corporate sponsorship coins, how with they ever pay Hair Furor’s legal bills?

UTAH

Less than 72 hours after the launch of a reporting form to help Utah enforce its transgender bathroom ban, the Utah auditor’s office says it has received nearly 4,000 complaints. And all of them appear to be “bogus.”

Utah Auditor John Dougall says his office created the online reporting tool to comply with GOP Representative Kera Birkeland’s “Sex-based Designations for Privacy, Anti-bullying and Women’s Opportunities.

Birkeland is a former Mrs. Utah beauty pageant contestant and her sole previous legislative record is a successful resolution that criticizes Shaquille O’Neal’s free throw record and mocks his movie’s rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Really.

Oh, and last year she introduced an anti-abortion bill that was condemned by her own sister, who is a rape survivor.

CNN

News anchor Kaitlan Collins caught GOP Senator J.D. Vance flat-footed during a line of questioning on the current pro-Palestine protests on college campuses across the country.

Collins quizzed the pro-Hair Furor senator on his views regarding the value of free speech versus the safety and well-being of students whose lives have been disrupted by the protests on campus—to which Vance replied that police should only become involved if protesters are breaking the law:

“My view on this is that Israel’s our ally, that we should support them, but you can’t police people for being anti-Israel or pro-Israel. You can police people for violating the law, and we have seen some of that with some of these protests.”

“OK. So you agree that people who break in and vandalize the building should be prosecuted?”

“Exactly.”

Collins then brought up Vance’s past support for the pro-Hair Furor insurrectionists who broke into the US Capitol on January 6.

And Vance gave :::crickets:::

KANSAS

State Republican legislators in Kansas failed to override Democrat Governor Laura Kelly’s veto of a proposed ban on gender-affirming care for transgender minors; the vote was two votes shy of the necessary two-thirds majority.

The vote in the House was expected to be close after LGBTQ+ rights advocates raised questions about whether the provision against promoting social transitioning is written broadly enough to apply to public school teachers who show empathy for transgender students.

And that’s just a small taste of GOP lunacy ... dog killing liars, fearmongering liars, those in favor of child marriage so teens cannot get an abortion, book banning librarian jailers, those who are already saying the 2024 election is rigged, arming teachers, GOP hypocrisy, more liars about their military service … but there is some spots of Good News.

pardoning traitors for political points; gibberish speakers; anti-military criminals; lunatics and Big Liars; Christian Nationalist Nazi sympathizers; party over country fools; unfit for political office; liars and flip-floppers; and Arizona.

So what do we do if we want more Good News? We ...

Ladies and Gentleladies, The Fondler and The Adulterer, Your Family Values Republicans

By now you’ve all heard the tale of Colorado GOP Representative Lauren Boebert, er, Groper and her Night at the Theater, but if not, let’s recap …

Little Miss Family Values … whose mother got knocked up with Little Lauren while she was in high school and who grew up to get knocked up with her son while she was in high school who grew up to knock up his girlfriend while he was in high school …. was kicked out of a “Beetlejuice” musical play in Denver over the weekend for acting like a self-entitled escort.

A theater spokesperson, while not naming Boebert, said that the video—which showed Boebert and her “date” being escorted out of the venue—was of guests who were kicked out after audience members accused them of vaping, singing, using phones and causing a disturbance. Boebert’s campaign manager confirms the Congressperson was kicked out but that Boebert denies she was vaping. Boebert and the other guest left, but not before she flipped off the ushers and asked the staff:

“Do you know who I am?”

Boebert, in her second term in Congress and running for reelection, has built a national profile with a combative media-whoring style that’s grabbed media headlines, was just vaping, and singing and using her phone …

That same video that shows  all of that going on and shows Boebert responding to a woman sitting behind her, also shows the conservative family values not-yet-divorced woman’s date fondling he breasts during the performance while she shoved her hand between his legs and fondled him. Boebert, while not admitting to the mutual grope fest, has blamed the entire thing on, wait for it, her ongoing divorce.

Best of all, is that Boebert, who is anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-drag, and once famously Tweeted out …

“Don’t take your kids to a drag show, take them to church.”

… was fondling and being fondled by Quinn Gallagher, a Democrat :::gasp::: and bar owner who often holds :::gasp::: drag shows at his venue.

So, while we now know Boebert had no morals, we have also been given proof she has no principles.

And now to rightwingnut MAGAt and  Mr-Former-Fake-One-Term-Twice-Impeached-Currently-Four-Time-Criminally-Indicted-Not-My-President-Gurl [h/t to Randy Rainbow] South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem who is angling to become the Vice President should Inmate # P01135809 run for and win the presidency in 2024.

Noem, who like Boebert, is an anti-LGBTQ+, anti-women’s rights, anti-history teaching, book banning, climate denying gun toting Republican, is also, again perhaps like Boebert, an adulterer, as it has been revealed that she and former Inmate # P01135809  advisor Corey Lewandowski have been having “a years-long clandestine affair.”

Noem, another Family Values politician, has been married to her spouse Byron Noem for more than 30 years, while Lewandowski has been married to his wife Alison for more than 15 years.

At an NRA forum earlier this year, Noem touted her relationship with her husband and her family values during a speech stating:

“Here today with me is my husband Bryon, who has been with me every step of the way. Thank you for our amazing family and all the support. Speaking of family… can you believe I’m a grandma? Not just once either, but twice. For those of you with grandchildren you know, they are why we get up each day and continue to fight for our values.”

No word on if Lewandowski was there to service her after that lovely little lie of a speech.

Of note is that neither Noem nor Lewandowski denied the affair when questioned by the media, though Noem’s people questioned the timing of the story—you know, cuz it came out as she was dropping to her  knees before Inmate # P01135809 to secure the Veep spot—and Lewandowski isn’t talking.

Good old Republican family values; do as we say not as we do.

Kay Ivey and Kristi Noem Can FOAD ... h/t Anne Marie

Alabama was one of the hardest hit states during the first go-round of the pandemic, and even harder hit during this latest outbreak, so what does GOP  Governor Kay Ivey do with the COVID-19 relief funds her state received from the federal government?

She signed a new law using those coronavirus virus funds to build new prisons in the state.

No, not for more room in hospitals, which are overflowing with COVID patients as well as others; not for relief for people who may lose their home due to unemployment during the pandemic; not for vaccines, vaccine education, equipment for those on the front lines.

Prisons; because prisons make money for Alabama

Kay Ivey cares more about for-profit prisons that people in her own state getting sick and dying of COVID because she’s a Republican who puts coins before people.

Early in 2020, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem’s daughter, Kassidy Peters, had applied with the state for an appraiser’s license and was denied. In July 2020, Noem summoned to her office the state employee who ran the agency, the woman’s direct supervisor and the state labor secretary.

Oh, and for some inexplicable reason, Kassidy Peters was also there.

And four months later Kassidy Peters obtained her certification. The following week, the labor secretary called the agency head, Sherry Bren, who initially denied Kassidy Peter’s application, and demanded her retirement, according to an age discrimination complaint Bren filed against the department.

No one knows what transpired at that July 2020 meeting in the governor’s office. Kristi Noem has only said she was trying to make the process more equitable, and added:

“I never once asked for special treatment for Kassidy. She is my daughter and I’m proud of her. I raised her to accomplish things on her own.”

Funny, though, that her desire for equality in that department only happened after her daughter was denied a licenses. Also funny, is that her daughter didn’t get the license until after mama stepped in and the department head was pushed out.

The GQP Protects Their Own, Even When A Man Is Killed

South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg has pleaded not guilty to three misdemeanors … misdemeanors … related to a deadly car crash last Fall when Ravnsborg struck and killed Joseph Boever, but drove away because, he claimed, he thought he’d hit a deer.

Boever’s body was discovered the next day, and accidents happen, and people get confused about it all, but …

Investigators discovered that Ravnsborg, a RepubliQAnon, was reading websites containing conspiracy theories about President Joe Biden on his phone … while driving … right before the impact.

When authorities made that information public, the judge in the case, John Brown, ordered state officials to remove it from state-controlled internet sites. That order ultimately gave South Dakota GQPs an excuse to stop Ravnsbotg's impeachment proceedings.

Ravnsborg signed papers to indicate he understood his statutory and constitutional rights. He is charged with (1) operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile electronic device; (2) improper lane driving; and (3) careless driving. Each charge is a Class 2 Misdemeanor carrying a possible penalty of 30 days in a county jail and a fine of $500.

Notice he is not charged with vehicular manslaughter because I guess Joseph Boever’s life doesn’t matter to GQP’s in South Dakota,

The facts: Ravnsborg was traveling approximately 70 miles per hour and looking at his phone when he collided with Boever. He continued driving, but then pulled over a distance away and reported the incident to the local sheriff, who personally showed up to investigate. The sheriff issued Ravnsborg a “deer tag” to account for damage to his vehicle and loaned the attorney general a personal car to continue on his way. Ravnsborg said he didn’t see Boever’s body until the next day when he was returning the car to the sheriff. The sheriff apparently didn’t see Boever’s body, either, but … Joseph Boever’s glasses were found inside Ravnsborg’s car because Joseph Boever’s head came through the windshield.

But again if you’re a RepubliQAnon in South Dakota you don’t get charged with manslaughter. You get smacked for being on your phone and driving carelessly and making an improper lane change.

I hope to the goddess that Joseph Boever has family that files a multi-million-dollar civil suit against Ravnsborg especially since officials in South Dakota seem intent on protecting this killer.

In The Age of _____: South Dakota Is First In Hate Legislation For 2017

You know, with a Hater in the Oval Office, it’s much easier now for others who hate to pass laws enabling hatred.

Take South Dakota .... please.

The state’s Republican ... because, of course ... Governor, Dennis Daugaard, just signed a "religious freedom" adoption bill—SB 149—which allows taxpayer-funded adoption and foster care agencies to refuse services to LGBT people if it would violate their sincerely held religious beliefs because, you know, God and Jesus are all about Hate. And let’s be completely queer about this, this new law will also allow discrimination against single parents, interracial couples, non-Christians and others.

And, in signing this into law, Daugaard has made South Dakota the first state to enact anti-LGBT legislation in 2017.

Y’all should be so proud.

For his part, the Big Bigot in the statehouse, Dennis Daugaard said he was “concerned private child-placement agencies acting in the best interest of a child could be subject to a lawsuit when denying placement to someone in a "protected class," such as members of the LGBT community."

Yes, because it’s in the best interests of the child in foster care or in an adoption agency to limit the number of loving parents willing to take them in; that’s real love, y’all.

♫ ♪Jesus loves me, this I know ♪ ♫... unless I’m gay and want to adopt or foster a child.

Update Central: Georgia and South Dakota

I’ve been posting a lot lately about the Georgia legislature passing their version of a Religious Freedom Restoration Act [RFRA] which allows anyone, anywhere, anytime, ever, to deny services to the LGBT community if they say they have a religious objection to The Gays. The Legislature even had no problem when told that their RFRA would protect the KKK because they prefer The Klan over The Gays, but …

After hearing from big business throughout the state, and their threats to pack up their companies and go, Georgia Governor, and, surprisingly, a Republican, Nathan Deal warned the lawmakers that he would reject the bill because he understands that these bills do more harm than good … to the state at least.

Deal called on the Legislature to change the proposal, which has passed the Georgia Senate, but also made it clear that he wouldn’t be if a changed bill failed to pass into law:
“It’s not on my agenda item. It’s not one of those issues that I have been pushing.”
And then he said that he objected to the measure because, wait for it, it’s pure gold, the Bible told him so; yes, the very Bible that conservatives use as a weapon of mass discrimination is the same Bible that Nathan Deal used as a reason why this RFRA should never pass:
“We do not have a belief in my way of looking at religion that says we have to discriminate against anybody. If you were to apply those standards to the teaching of Jesus, I don’t think they fit. [We] have a belief in forgiveness and that we do not have to discriminate unduly against anyone on the basis of our own religious beliefs. We are not jeopardized, in my opinion, by those who believe differently from us. We are not, in my opinion, put in jeopardy by virtue of those who might hold different beliefs or who may not even agree with what our Supreme Court said the law of the land is on the issue of same-sex marriage. I do not feel threatened by the fact that people who might choose same-sex marriages pursue that route.”
And then Nathan Deal said that he and his wife Sandra believe in “traditional marriage” between a man and a woman:
“But that does not mean that those who hold to that view should feel like they are threatened by those who have a different point of view. I hope that we can all just take a deep breath, recognize that the world is changing around us, and recognize that it is important that we protect fundamental religious beliefs,” he said. “But we don’t have to discriminate against other people in order to do that. And that’s the compromise that I’m looking for.”
Yup; he has a right to believe in “traditional” marriage but at least he understands that the law is the law, and that the Bible, and the Baby Jeebus, do not believe in discrimination … and neither should Georgia.

Now, onto South Dakota, where the legislature there was the first in the country to pass legislation that made it a crime for a transgender student to be in a bathroom or locker room that did not match with the gender listed on the trans person’s birth certificate.

But then South Dakota’s governor, surprisingly, another Republican, Dennis Daugaard, vetoed the bill and asked that the House not try to override him.

And last week, the South Dakota House of Representatives did in fact fail override Daugaard’s veto; supporters needed a two-thirds vote, but failed by a margin of 36-29.

Good on Governor Daugaard and good on South Dakota, for teetering on the verge of legislating intolerance, and then walking back from the precipice.

South Dakota Goes Transphobic

South Dakota just made history, y’all, but not in a good way. This week, South Dakota lawmakers became the first in the nation to pass a bill outlawing transgender public school students from using restrooms and locker rooms consistent with their gender identities.

You know, because trans students don’t wanna just pee or anything.

The bill was approved by the state Senate on Tuesday and now awaits the signature of Republican Governor Dennis Daugaard who said, in his best hillbilly, ignorant voice, “This seems like a good idea.”

Yeah, discrimination based on sexual orientation is always good, especially when it’s done to kids!

The measure mandates that students must use the restrooms and locker rooms that correspond with their "physical condition of being male or female as determined by a person's chromosomes and anatomy as identified at birth," not the gender with which they identify.

Oh, but to be fair, this new piece of Hate Legislation does provide that, with written parental permission, the “affected” students may request a "reasonable accommodation ... that does not impose an undue hardship on a school district," such as use of a single-occupancy restroom.

God knows you don’t wanna inconvenience the school.

The Transgender Law Center lambasted the bill's passage and said it believes the legislation violates federal law:
"Every single child, including transgender youth, should have the opportunity to succeed and be treated fairly by our schools and elected officials. If the governor signs the measure, it will endanger students and open up South Dakota schools to legal chaos, liability, and the loss of millions in federal funds."
Democrats argued that passing the bill might trigger the federal government to pull money from public schools, and may result in a tourism boycott.

But, really, who cares about that? What about the continued emotional pain for trans youth, being told once again that they are not who they are, that they cannot be themselves, even when using a bathroom? This is just another form of segregation and haven’t we already seen how that works?

If this law goes forward and if the governor sign sit, I feel like those kids, who are already made to feel different, who may suffer bullying simply for being trans, will withdraw; they might drop out of school; they might feel hopeless; there might be suicides.

All over the right to pee. Is a life worth it?

He Shot Himself In The Dick, Then In The Foot

Donald Anthony Watson is a convicted felon living up there in South Dakota, and one day last month he showed up at a local hospital claiming that a ‘black man’ tried rob him as he took out his garbage, and that during the struggle the ‘black man’ shot  him in the groin.

As happens in the case of gunshot wounds, local police were called and began an investigation of the crime outside Watson’s home. Trouble was, they found no evidence of said crime; no spent bullets casings, no overturned garbage cans, no bullet holes at all, save for the one in Donald Anthony Watson’s dick … and the holes in his story.

In addition, there were several ‘ear’ witnesses who claim to have heard Watson screaming in pain inside his home that night, and with the lack of physical evidence and the witness testimony, police turned their attention back at Donald Anthony Watson’s home, where they found an empty gun case and bullet fragments on the bed.

The jig was up. Watson caved and confessed that he’d purchased a gun from an unknown third party, and when he put the gun in his pocket he shot himself in the dick, and then, you know, because he was a felon and an idiot and, possibly, racist, he created the ‘black man’ story.

However, because Watson refused to tell police where he’d put the gun, or who sold it to him, he was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a drug offender, false report of a crime to law enforcement and false report of information to law enforcement.

Donald Anthony Watson is looking at a long stretch behind bars. Plenty of time for his dick wound to heal.

But remember, guns don’t shoot people in the dick, people shoot people in the dick.
