Triple Dose of Karma

Michael Lofthouse, the CEO IT firm Solid8, was captured on film at a Carmel Valley restaurant telling an Asian family to “go back to whatever fucking Asian country you’re from” and shouting “Fuck you Asians” and “You don’t belong here.” He also called them “a piece of shit” and warned them that “_____’s gonna fuck you.”

And, as happened when these racists realize their hate made it to social media, Fuckwit Lofthouse issued a lame apology:
“My behavior in the video is appalling. This was clearly a moment where I lost control and made incredibly hurtful and divisive comments. I would like to deeply apologize to the Chan family. I can only imagine the stress and pain they feel. I was taught to respect people of all races, and I will take the time to reflect on my actions and work to better understand the inequality that so many of those around me face every day.”
You weren’t taught respect you racist; if you had been, those words would have never left your mouth. And I can only imagine you’re apologizing now because your brand is being hurt and you’re losing coins.

Sorry, not sorry.

In California, the town of Martinez authorized the painting of a Black Lives Matter mural on a city street. Less than an hour later, racists and morons, Nicole Anderson, 42, and David Nelson, 53, took it upon themselves to buy a can of paint and remove the mural from the street.

Well, Nicole painted, while racist and misogynist David filmed her and shouted at passersby:
“We’re sick of this narrative … The narrative of police brutality. The narrative of oppression. The narrative of racism. It’s a lie. There is no oppression. There is no racism. It’s a leftist lie. It’s a lie from the media, the liberal left.”
He then added, proving he’s an ignorant racist:
“Why don’t you guys learn about history. The emancipation proclamation act. Yeah, that’s right, Abraham Lincoln. You’re only free because of our forefathers.”
Yesterday, the Contra Costa County District Attorney charged ‘Karen’ and ‘Ken’ with Violation of Civil Rights, which is a hate crime, Vandalism Under $400, and Possession of Tools to Commit Vandalism or Graffiti. Each faces up to a year in county jail.

Good. Bye.

And finally, a man wearing a “Running the World Since 1776′ t-shirt was captured on video flipping out at a Costco in Fort Myers after an elderly woman asked him to wear a mask. He began shrieking at the woman, and then running up on her and a passerby who whipped out his phone to tape the madness, saying they were threatening him … with a request to wear a mask and a cell phone?

Yesterday the man was identified as  Daniel Maples, a top-selling insurance broker at Ted Todd Insurance. Shortly after being identified, Daniel was fired from his job by company CEO Charley Todd, who said:
“Thank you to everyone for their comments and messages raising awareness about a former employee at Ted Todd Insurance. Their behavior in the video is in direct conflict with our company values and their employment has been terminated. Threatening behavior and intimidation go against our core mission to be trusted advisors in our community. We are also committed to immediately reviewing our internal existing culture at TTI.”
Shine a light on racists and they slither away, get arrested, lose their jobs, or find their businesses suffering.

Again, sorry, not sorry.

Racist Karen, AKA Kathy Jenkins, Tries To Take Us For A Spin

Earlier today I posted about a Missouri woman who went to a Black Lives Matter protest outside a Dixie Outfitters, whose owner is ALLEGEDLY affiliated with the KKK. While there, and cradling a Confederate flag she shouted to the BLM group:
“I will teach my grandkids to hate you all! I will teach them to hate all you people. KKK belief.”
Well, that woman is Karen Jenkins who became a viral sensation when a video of her hatred stormed the internet. And it took a nanosecond for someone to identify her and then perhaps another second for that storm to rain down on her.

Kathy says she’s been locked out of Facebook—shoot, how will she know when the next Klan Wives meeting is—and fired from her job—poor racist doesn’t work for a KKK company?—and says she’s been the target of a few threats and even her friends are being threatened. Now, that’s not cool; threats are not cool. But, as for the rest, I’m so sorry, but I’m not sorry. You got what you deserved Kathy.

Sadly, though, Kathy Jenkins is not finished, and is saying the whole thing was a mistake, and taken wrong and she didn’t mean what she said and … and … and … racist needs an excuse.

In that video, Kathy Jenkins is in the bed of a pickup truck holding, and dancing with, a Confederate flag, but Kathy says the video doesn’t show the whole thing. No sir, she says before someone started recording her, she was … wait for it … it’s rich … racist thinks we’re all stupid … she says she was “chanting Black Lives Matter.”

While waving a Confederate flag? Bitch, please.

Kathy Jenkins says she was only at the Dixie Outfitters to watch the BLM protest because she’d never been to one and just wanted to see it. But, then again, the Confederate flag, Kathy? Have you never seen one of those before, so you just wanted to hug it and dance with it?

It gets better; Kathy Jenkins says she was standing in the back of a truck that belonged to someone she did not know, and that someone she did not know handed her a Confederate flag, and that she doesn’t fully know what it represents but thought it was a symbol of … wait for it … it’s rich … racist thinks we’re all stupid … a symbol of unity.

Bitch. Please!

And she says she only spewed her Hate Speech when BLM people from the other side of the street approached her, and she lost her temper:
“I hadn’t said anything until they came into my face … it’s like I blacked out. I don’t even remember saying half the stuff that I said.”
Hate, Kathy, it was hate.
“I wasn’t saying I’m KKK or for the KKK. I was mocking them because I don’t like being called a racist.”
Now, why would anyone think a woman standing in the back of a truck in front of a business owned by a KKK supporter and holding the Confederate flag was racist?

But since that story didn’t go over to well, and she’s probably desperate to get back on Facebook, she’s apologizing and vowing to never hold another Confederate flag again, as God is her witness:
“As many of you know I am Kathy. I just wanted to start with saying that I am truly deeply sorry for what I said. This isn’t who I am as a person. I obviously cannot take back what I said. I can only learn from this. I want to make it clear. I am not teaching my children or grandchildren to hate anyone. No one. Ever. I’ve always taught them to respect and love anyone no matter the race. I’ve always taught them to treat people with the same respect as they would want to be treated. My words and actions have been a learning experience. Not only did I learn from this, but I hope this message helps others that they cannot take back what they have said. Again I am so so sorry because that is not who I am.  I would never ever want to see anyone hurt and I don’t care who they are.”
Sorry Kathy, I’m not buying it. You didn’t know what a BLM protest was about, but you stood with Klan members and Confederate flag waving haters?

You thought the Confederate flag was a symbol of unity, but unless you had you hood on backwards and couldn’t see, then you’re just another racist who got caught and is trying to lie your way out of it. But, please note, Kathy is also wearing a Make America Great Again cap; just sayin’.You know, cuz some of them are very nice people, as _____ says.

You say you spewed hate because you didn’t know what you were saying, but, Kathy, if you didn’t feel that hatred in your heart, you never would have let those words leave your mouth.

You’re a racist Kathy. Own it.

Ben Carson Apologizes AGAIN For Comparing Same-Sex Marriage To Bestiality & Pedophilia

At work one day last week, a co-worker was really working … my last nerve. So much so, that I finally snapped and said to her:
“You are the dumbest fuck on the planet.”
Naturally, she was very upset and began to cry, so, being an adult, I apologized:
“I sorry … if I offended you.’
Okay, so that didn’t happen, but if it had, I would have known better than to qualify my apology with an ‘if’ or a ‘but’; I would say I was sorry, and leave it at that. Trouble is, some folks, like conservative-Teabagging-brain-surgeon—and how’s that for an oxymoron—Dr. Ben Carson don’t know how to apologize.

We all know that a few weeks back, in an appearance on FauxNews’ Sean Hannity’s, um, ‘show,’ Carson compared comparing advocates of marriage equality to people advocating for bestiality and pedophilia. Almost instantly he was asked to apologize, and he gave the ‘I’m sorry if I offended you’ as opposed to the ‘I’m sorry I offended you’ non-apology-apology.

And he tried to leave it at that because, you know, The Gays, and our allies, we don’t matter and who cares that he denigrated an entire group of people who simply would like to have the right to get married, legally, in this country.

But, Carson’s non-apology didn’t land him in good stead with his fellow doctors and teachers and soon many began to question his tact, and his intellect. But then came word that he may be disinvited to be a commencement speaker at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, so he had to, perhaps, apologize again, and hopefully get it right; he didn’t.

Last week, while a guest on a radio show, Carson tried to downplay the outrage that some Johns Hopkins students felt about his original remarks, and his less than apologetic apology. He said his appearance was "still up in the air" and then dismissed the whole mess about the students’ concerns by saying it was just "eight students who signed a petition":
“You know, there were eight students who signed a petition. And that was not from the graduating class, that was from all the classes. That was what they could come up with. There are others who feel very strongly in the other direction.”
Oh, ‘doctor’, not so fast. In fact, it was upwards of 700 students, the majority from the graduating class, who asked that Carson not be allowed to speak, so Carson not only has trouble taking responsibility for his ignorant, and somewhat hate-filled, remarks, he also has a bit of an issue with the truth. Now, though, Carson has finally realized that when you put your foot in your mouth, you should instantly apologize, correctly, because Carson is apologizing again:
“As you know, I have been in the national news quite a bit recently and my 36 year association with Johns Hopkins has unfortunately dragged our institution into the spotlight as well. I am sorry for any embarrassment this has caused. But what really saddens me is that my poorly chosen words caused pain for some members of our community and for that I offer a most sincere and heartfelt apology. Hurting others is diametrically opposed to who I am and what I believe. …. There are many lessons to be learned when venturing into the political world and this is one I will not forget. Although I do believe marriage is between a man and a woman, there are much less offensive ways to make that point. I hope all will look at a lifetime of service over some poorly chosen words.”
Maybe we will, Dr. Carson, but I doubt very many people in the Marriage Equality Movement will ever take you. or your opinions, seriously again.

On Ben Carson's Non-Apology Apology For Equating Being Gay To Bestiality and Pedophilia

Dr. Ben Carson is a Tea Party darlin’, so you know he’s not a favorite of mine. And while he is a brain surgeon—let’s not discuss that particular oxy-moron—he’s also quite the pundit that FoxNews likes to trot out when they want to bash Obamacare, Obama, the liberal media and, of course, The Gays.

Carson, if you don’t know, was really a nobody until a couple of months ago, when he gave a speech in front of President Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast and called for a regressive tax system that would punish the poorest Americans.

Yeah, so brain surgeon? Not so much. But this week he made an appearance on Sean Hannity’s Witch-hunt, or whatever that show is called and decided that the world needed to know his feelings on same-sex marriage:
“My thoughts are that marriage is between a man and a woman, it’s a well-established uh, fundamental pillar of society. No group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA [the North American Man/Boy Love Association], be they people who believe in bestiality, it doesn’t matter what they are, they don’t get to change the definition. So it’s not something that’s against gays, it’s against anybody who wants to come along and change the fundamental definitions of pillars of society. It has signifcant ramifications.”
Oh did he really pull out that old chestnut where he compared being gay to being a pedophile or an animal fornicator? And, one would wonder, if Carson, a Black man, might have uttered the same foolishness back in 1967 regarding the Supreme Court ruling in Loving v. Virginia, a decision that redefined the same “fundamental pillar of society”, i.e. marriage, as something that could not be inhibited by race.

Now, Ben Carson does know that his antiquated, outdated, and disgusting views put him at odds with every major medical association in the country, but he remains resolute that marriage not be redefined because it has never been redefined ever and is the exact same institution it was thousands of years ago when men could have hundreds of wives.

But, Carson found himself in the middle of a firestorm over his Gays = Bestiality/Pedophilia stance. And then he decided that, being a brain surgeon who apparently missed that trip to Oz to actually get a brain, he ought to apologize for his remarks because, as most people understand, just because you are gay doesn’t mean you want to have sex with children or dogs, and just because you want to have sex with children or dogs doesn’t mean you’re gay.

So Carson apologized; sort of:
“As a Christian, I have a duty to love all people—and that includes people who have other sexual orientations—and I certainly do, and never had any intention of offending anyone. What I was basically saying—and if anyone was offended I apologize to you—but what I was basically saying is there is no group…I wasn’t equating those things, I don’t think they are equal. If you asked me for an apple and I gave you an orange, you would say ‘well that’s not an orange.’ And then I’d say well there’s a banana…’that’s not an apple either.’ And there’s a peach…’that’s not an apple either.’ But it doesn’t mean that I’m equating the banana and the orange and the peach. In the same way, I’m not equating those things.”
Huh? First off, let’s deal with that whole “I’m a Christian and I love everybody” bull. See, I don’t get how saying someone who has a different sexual orientation is also some who would be a child- or animal-f**ker. I don’t see the ‘love’ in that statement; I see bigotry, ignorance, and hate.

Secondly, this whole “I’m sorry if…” nonsense. There is no ‘if’ in what you said; you offended people, and unless and until you offer a sincere apology, which should sound something like “I’m sorry I said the wrong thing. I’m sorry I offend anyone. I’m sorry I don’t have two active brain cells to rub together before I speak” you ought to keep quiet. That’s an apology. What Carson did was say ‘If I bothered you, well, I don’t care.’

But some folks do care, and some folks aren’t going to sit by and let Carson’s brand of Ignorant Speech go unchallenged: a group of medical students from the graduating Johns Hopkins University’s School of Medicine, class of 2013, are circulating a petition urging the university to withdraw its invitation from Carson, who is scheduled to deliver the keynote address during the ceremony this spring. To his credit, however, probably realizing his speech would be a disruptive event, Carson has said he would step down from his speaking engagement: “Absolutely, I would say that this is their day, and the last thing I would want to do is rain on their parade.”

And his colleagues at Johns Hopkins are equally disgusted by his remarks. Professor Todd Shepard, co-director of the university’s Program for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality, said “I don’t think most people at Hopkins think what he says on this subject matter. They make him look nasty, petty, and ill-informed. It doesn’t tell us anything about his amazing abilities as a surgeon. It does remind us, however, that those abilities do not mean we should listen to what he says in any other domain.

Here’s the deal: you can be against same-sex marriage because this is a free country where you have the right to your opinion, but, for the love of whatever it is you believe, please base your opinions on fact and not conjecture. And don’t demean the LGBT community with insults and degradations. Find a voice, right or wrong, and find a fact that will boost your opinion.

But, please remember, Dr. Carson and all those who think like he does, marriage has changed and changed and changed over the last thousand years or so, and it changed again as recently as the late 60s. So quit playing that tired card, and quit insulting our community and our intelligence.

Tricia Mackie, Fox "News" Anchor, Non-Apologizes For Homophobic Remark

It's kinda funny, and sad, this social media thing. We all get angry when we find kids saying ignorant things on Facebook and Twitter, and we go ballistic when adults--like yesterday's post, Denise Helms--use their social media outlets to spew ignorance and hate; and death threats.

But I would expect more from a journalist. I can remember when journalists were professional, when they simply told the story, without editorializing, and reported the facts. These days, though, these so-called journalists seem more like petulant school children using Facebook to snark and Twitter to bully.

Case in point: Fox [of course] news anchor from Cincinnati, Tricia Mackie.

Back in October, she posted on Facebook that MSNBC political pundit and commentator, Rachel Maddow, was an “angry young man.”

Isn’t hat hilarious? Rachel's a lesbian, you know, so, of course, she's a man, because Lesbians aren’t real women and Gay men aren't real men., It's funny. Yeah, not so much.

Click to emBIGGERate
And Tricia Mackie, at first, refused to accept that what she said was bigoted, homophobic, and bordered on bullying, not to mention that a professional journalist--even one who works for Fox--should know better than to name-call and belittle anyone in print.

She did walk back the angry young man comment a bit by saying she should have called Maddow “antagonistic,” but then she admitted that she “knew what I was saying.”

And yet she still said it.

But, both GLAAD and Equality Ohio knew that Tricia Mackie was being an idiot, and had a few choice words of their own for the "news"person:
Referring to Maddow as a “man” because she is a gay woman is completely unacceptable for someone in the business of journalism.Cincinnati viewers rely on Mackie and Fox 19 to deliver unbiased and fair reporting about the lives of LGBT people in their community. But this is someone who attempted to insult a gay woman by questioning her gender, then stated very clearly that she did so with complete awareness of her actions.Tricia Mackie undoubtedly tried to insult Maddow because of their political differences, rather than simply because Maddow is gay – but her comments went much further than insulting Maddow’s political leanings, and took issue with Maddow’s gender, revealing an anti-gay (or at least anti-gender-nonconforming?) bias underlying her political beliefs.
And suddenly Tricia Mackie was all apologetic, issuing the following on her channel, Fox 19's Facebook page:
“I recently posted comments on my personal Facebook page regarding cable news anchor Rachel Maddow which were insensitive and inappropriate. I apologize to Ms. Maddow and any others who may have been offended by my comments, as they do not reflect my firm beliefs in individual and equal rights, and they certainly do not represent the opinions or position of my employer WXIX-TV.”
Nice non-apology, Tricia. You said it, but you don't own it, because owning might get your blond ass canned, even from a Fox channel.

And as for your "personal" Facebook page, even school children know there is no such thing as "personal" anymore, when you start spouting ridiculousness on the internet. And when you open up your personal page to every Tom, Dick and Homophobe, and then denigrate a gay man or women, you lose all credibility.

Your apology should have read:
I was stupid. I was insensitive. I said the wrong thing. I should know better.
But it didn't because you are stupid and insensitive, and you don't know better.

An Asshat Tries....And Fails....To Apologize

It was just week that Indiana state Representative Bob Morris was awarded the ISBL Asshat of the Week cap for his refusal to sign a legislative resolution honoring the Girl Scouts on their 100th anniversary. You can read about it HERE, but suffice to say he was against the resolution because he felt that the Girls Scouts are a "radicalized organization" that support abortion and promote the "homosexual lifestyle."
And because now his words have come back to haunt him, Morris is issuing an apology. Let's dissect it, shall we?
"After reflecting on the letter I wrote on February 18, 2012 to my fellow Indiana Republican Representatives, I realize now that my words were emotional, reactionary, and inflammatory. For that I sincerely apologize. I apologize to the Girl Scouts of Indiana and all of the girls and parents of Indiana who are participating in and running their Girl Scout organizations in a way that promotes leadership, community involvement and family values. I certainly should not have painted the entire Girl Scouts organization with such a wide brush."
He would just paint some of "those" Girl Scouts that way. Notice, also that he doesn't really apologize for what he said, just the "emotional" way he said it.
Non.Apology.
"As I have mentioned, the letter was intended for only my colleagues in the Statehouse. That is not an excuse for the breadth of my letter – rather, it is the reason for the lack of research and evidence it contained. I was merely attempting to express my reasons for not signing the House Resolution honoring the Girl Scouts and challenging my colleagues to think about the issue. I assure you that on matters of state policy and law making my research is extensive. Too, had I known this letter would have gone to a wider audience, I would have cited further evidence for my position."
He only wanted certain people to get his letter, you know, the "right" kind of people, and is sorry that the letter actually was seen by everyday folk, who find Bob Morris and ilk a bit disgusting. And, you know, if he had known that you and I would have seen his letter he would have researched it more, instead of just relying on one or two biased web pages for his rant.
"In hindsight, I never should have written the letter. However, I still would not sign the Resolution honoring the Girl Scouts – not because of any local troops or even the Girl Scouts of Indiana, but because of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America (Girl Scouts USA) and its policies. My conscience would not allow me to publicly endorse an organization that partners with Planned Parenthood – our State’s leading abortion provider. My family and I view abortion as the biggest evil of our time. And as Blessed Pope John Paul II said in his Encyclical Letter Evangelium Vitae, “every person sincerely open to truth and goodness can, by the light of reason and the hidden action of grace, come to recognize in the natural law written in the heart (cf. Rom 2:14-15) the sacred value of human life from its very beginning until its end, and can affirm the right of every human being to have this primary good respected to the highest degree.” I hope that my stance will help to spread the Gospel of life. Perhaps it will cause the Girl Scouts USA to reconsider its policies."
Oh, so because the Girl Scouts partner with Planned Parenthood, which provides abortions, as well as all sorts of medical tests and treatments, from breast exams to cancer treatments, he won't sign it. Then, of course, he brings in religion, because, as a typical Republican he cannot separate his personal religious beliefs from any aspect of his life, your life, or my life.
"On March 5, 2004, the Girl Scouts of the United States of America’s CEO, Kathy Cloninger, stated in an interview on the NBC Today Show that the Girl Scouts USA partners with Planned Parenthood with regard to sex education for Girl Scouts. To my knowledge, the Girl Scouts USA have not rescinded, corrected or denied that statement."
You know, because sex education is wrong. Education on any topic that does not jibe with Bob Morris' Bible-thumping is wrong.
"If the Girl Scouts USA now denies the statement of its CEO, I challenge the organization to do so publicly so that individuals are not confused as to the organization’s ties to Planned Parenthood."
It's the new GOP Culture War, folks, and Planned Parenthood is the enemy.
"Girl Scouts USA is also the founding and largest member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (“WAGGGS”). Money raised by Girl Scouts USA is used to support WAGGS. As you can see from the link on its own website, http://www.wagggsworld.org/en/CSW54/Day6, WAGGS openly promotes sex education and access to contraception and other “sexual and reproductive health services” for young people."
So, because the Girl Scouts are trying to help young girls through sex education--so they don't become pregnant or become infected with an STD or HIV--they must not be honored? Seriously, Bobby? What are you doing to help young girls, other than keeping them in the dark about the dangers of unprotected sex? Keeping them in the dark about the choices they can make for their own bodies by themselves?
"I cannot, in good conscience, honor an organization that supports such policies. It is my sincere hope that this statement will end the publicity with regard to my letter. I look forward to moving on to more important issues of state policy.Thank you."
No, Bobby, it won't end. It won't end because you're a bigot who hides behind the Pope's sequined gowns. It won 't end because you want to control women, and young girls, by denying them access to education, by denying them access to choice, by denying them access to medical treatment, options and education.
You, Bob Morris, are still an Asshat.
Put the cap back on.

What The F**k Is Wrong With Mike O'Neal?

Before I begin, I'd like to warn you that I am enraged. I am pissed off. I am disgusted. I am sickened. Make the children leave the room, and keep them away from this post.
Let's begin:
Mike "I Don't Have The Good Sense God Gave A Goat" O'Neal, the Republican speaker of the Kansas statehouse, is an utter moronic, pig-fucking, goose-stepping loon who should be drummed out of politics forever.
Seriously.
Seems Mike "Dumb As A Box Of GOP Senators" O'Neal was forced to issue an apology this week after sending emails from his personal account that referred to First Lady Michelle Obama as “Mrs. YoMama” and then unbelievably had the gall to quote a Bible verse that some saw as a reference to killing the president.
Oh, but he did.
In the spirit of Christmas, Mike "Why Yes, I'm A Dumbfuck" O'Neal sent an email out that compared Michelle Obama to the Dr. Seuss character The Grinch, with a tagline asking: “Twins separated at birth?” The forward to the email read: “I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing Mrs. YoMama a wonderful, long Hawaii Christmas vacation--at our expense, of course.”
Apparently Mike "I Am A Functioning Illiterate Asswiping Douchenozzle" O'Neal doesn't have the brain power to know that all presidential trip are paid for by taxpayers. The Bush family in Kennebunkport didn't bother him in the least, but the Obama's in Hawaii set him off.
In a statement to The Lawrence Journal-World, a Kansas newspaper in Kansas that obtained the emails, Mike "I'm Not A Racist Asshat But I Play One In The Kansas Legislature" O’Neal apologized for “missing” the offending text: “To those I have offended, I am sorry. That was not my intent.”
Oh, the Non-Apology Apology. I swear the GOP should patent that: "Let me say awful, horrible things about the president, his wife, their children, but bounce back by saying I didn't mean to act like a total mindnumbingly dumb dickwad."
The Journal-World also revealed that Mike "" O’Neal had forwarded yet another email--I guess there's nothing better for an elected official to do in Kansas--which referenced the Bible verse Psalm 109:8, which reads: “Let his days be few; and let another take his office.” The very next verse adds: “Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.”
Wow. Wishing someone would die, whether they are the president or not, is really a lovely thing to do.
The verse became a conservative meme in 2009 and appeared on bumper stickers, t-shirts and even toys; how fun!
Mike "I Work For The People Of Kansas Who Don't Care That I'm A Delsuional Wingnut" O'Neal said: “At last--I can honestly voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Look it up — it is word for word! Let us all bow our heads and pray. Brothers and Sisters, can I get an AMEN? AMEN!!!!!!”
Mike "Hey! I Non-Apologized Once Already" O’Neal did not apologize for the second email.
Hey! People of Kansas? Is this the kind of political leaders you want representing your state? Where is your fucking outrage? Or is everyone in Kansas a bigoted fuckmonkey with the IQ if dirt?
Just sayin'.

It's The Latest Thing.....

Remember back in the day when all the starlet wannabes, and has-been singers, and drug addicted wactresses, would flash their lady bits to the paparazzi?

I mean, it was the way to get yourself in the papers, dontcha know. A little peep of the vah-jay-jay and you were front page news.

Seriously. Once could be considered an accident, but as many times as I was subjected to looking at the girlie parts of Paris and Britney and Lindsay, I almost switched gears and became a gynecologist.

So, how do people get themselves a little free press these days? I mean, flashing your privates is sooooo 2007.

Faggot. That'll do it. Kobe did it. Others, too. And suddenly we were talking about them because they called someone a fag, or a fucking fag, or merely just mouthed the word gay, and then they got all the press. The apology press. the Oh I didn't mean it...I love gay people press.

I'm so over it. And yet here it goes again.

White Sox player Gordon Beckham wanted to send a little message to his BFF, Kansas City Royals' Chris Getz, when their two teams faced off against one another last week. So, what did he do? Send off a Tweet saying, Gonna beat you in the game next week? Maybe fire off an email, We're gonna crush
you guys in that gameNope. Gordon Beckham decided the way to show his best friend how much he likes him was to scrawl a message in the dirt around the baseball diamond:
"Getz Is Gay."
So..........funny. Only now, Beckham is on the I'm Sorry Tour, saying:
"Chris is one of my best friends. It was a joke. I didn’t know anybody could see [the dirt]. I didn’t mean anything, you know?"
Except to call his best friend gay as a means to deride him, and mock him. But then he goes on, and on, apologizing:
"I just want you to know that that’s not me. I don’t use slurs. I have a lot of gay friends. I didn’t mean it as anything — you know, like gay as in ... happy! Or, you know, an alliteration — ‘Getz is gay.'"
Hmmm. I don't use slurs.
But'cha did, Blanche, but'cha did.

Hmmmm, Gay, as in....happy.
Yeah, that makes sense. Why not just say Getz is happy, asshat?

But then he piles on more, using Getz is Gay as a form of an alliterative slur. Maybe Gordon Beckham ought to whip out the Thesaurus before his next dirt writing homophobia mood sets in.

And then we have Philadelphia Eagles DeSean Jackson, who, during an interview on the All Out Show, one of his fans, Troy in Tennessee, who called in to the show, and asked if Jackson "had his dick knocked in the dirt [indecipherable]," before the call ends.

Not so very nice, you know, but apparently, and I'm not up on the sports lingo, "knocking one's dick in the dirt" means knocking someone down or out. Okay, so I guess it makes sense, although I might just ask if you got knocked down, and leave your dick out of the call.

But DeSean wasn't real pleased with the call, and asked Troy:
"What type of question is that? Say 'no homo', gay-ass. Faggot."
Hmmm, you got knocked down, and someone asks about it, so the appropriate response is to call someone a faggot.

Jackson has yet to begin his Apology Tour, and "Rude" Jude from the All Out Show, actually hopes Jackson won't apologize. he says Jackson was just bantering, you know, and that he's a "is a hood dude," and for "hood cats, the worst thing you can call someone is a bitch or a faggot. I don't think he's homophobic. He's joking."

Yeah, it's funny to call someone a faggotIt's funny to use that word to demean someone. And it's funny when someone decides that their sports heroes are right and faggots are just no good, and there is no need to have them around and you go out and maybe bash a couple of faggots.

It's all in a game, right?
I'm so sorry.

Rebecca Kleefisch Non-Apologizes For Being A Moron

Last Friday, right here on ISBL's "I Didn't Say It," I posted a quote from Rebecca Kleefisch, the GOP candidate for lieutenant governor of Wisconsin, and how she feels about marriage equality; she said:

"This is a slippery slope. In addition to that at what point are we going to be okay marrying inanimate objects? Can I marry this table or this, you know, clock? Can we marry dogs? This is ridiculous. And biblically, again, I'm going to go right back to my fundamental Christian beliefs marriage is between one man and one woman."

Yes, she compared same-sex marriage to bestiality--a tried-and-true Republican talking point, as well as the desire of some folks to marry inanimate objects.

Now, it seems that Kleefisch has removed her foot from her mouth and has apologized for telling a Christian radio program earlier this year that extending domestic partner benefits to gay state employees could lead to approving marriage to dogs or furniture.

Rebecca Kleefisch's "apology":
"My comments were meant to relay my concern with redefining marriage. I never intended to sound insensitive, and have the utmost respect for all people. I apologize for my poor choice of words."

Um, Rebecca? Fuck you.

If your comments were meant to relay concern, why bring up bestiality?
If you didn't mean to sound insensitive, why suggest people marry clocks if gay men and women can marry?
If you had a poor choice of words, and the rebound with a non-apology-apology, how can we trust a word that comes out of your mouth?

Let's talk truth here, Rebecca. You said what you wanted to say, but then it got out, and people began to question you as a candidate for office, so you decided to spin a non-apology.

Here's how a real apology might work: I apologize sincerely for what i said. I was wrong and wasn't thinking before I spoke. I'm sorry.

That's an apology, Kleefisch. You should learn it, because I see many more apologies in your political future.

"Baby Killer!" "You Lie!" "F****t!" "N****r!"

Words from a school yard? No.
Street fight? Not exactly.
These are words and names being hurled at our elected officials in our Capital building; some by other elected officials, and others by folks who don't know how to argue or make a point without some sort of derogatory words bandied about.
The latest loose tongue is from Texas, of course. Republican Congressman Randy Neugebauer was the mysterious lawmaker who shouted “baby killer” during Bart Stupak’s speech Sunday night.
Rumors that Neugebauer was the one who shouted out began swirling Sunday night, after several lawmaker surmised that the scream was tinted with a southern accent. Some said they knew where the shouter was seated; some say they knew exactly who yelled. Of course, they all stayed silent.
Then, yesterday, when more and more people began suspecting Neugebauer, his office finally admitted that he is the congressman who doesn't know how to behave; doesn't know how to have a civil disagreement.
Randy Neugebauer's non-apologetic apology:
“Last night was the climax of weeks and months of debate on a health care bill that my constituents fear and do not support. In the heat and emotion of the debate, I exclaimed the phrase ‘it’s a baby killer’ in reference to the agreement reached by the Democratic leadership. While I remain heartbroken over the passage of this bill and the tragic consequences it will have for the unborn, I deeply regret that my actions were mistakenly interpreted as a direct reference to Congressman Stupak himself.”
Let's break it down. He says he didn't say "baby killer" in reference to Stupak, who is decidedly Pro-life, but rather he said "it's a baby killer" in reference to health care. That's not what anyone else heard; it's not even what I heard. Everyone heard "baby killer." And, of course, ever the politician, Neugebauer never actually apologized. No, the Apology For The 21st Century is the non-apology. He isn't sorry. He's sorry you misinterpreted what he said.
So, it's my fault. Apparently.
Well, Mr. Neugebauer, it isn't my fault you can't control your mouth. It isn't my fault you're an offensive idiot. It isn't my fault that you sit in the back of the room, in shadows, surrounded by your other bully friends, and shout insults out and then try to hide. At least until the rumor mill gets going and you're forced to take repsonisbility for your bad behavior.
House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn called on each of the more than a dozen Republican members who applauded Neugebauer to apologize to the full House, and thinks Neugebauer should apologize to the full Congress for disgracing the institution during a formal session.
I think he should apologize to America.
Try this Randy: "I'm sorry I was rude and stupid. I'm sorry I don't know any better."
And then get out of office.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The New GOP

The GOP, knowing that they are losing constituents left and right down here in South Carolina, began a concerted effort to woo the African-American voters into their flock, knowing that minorities have, for decades, wanted nothing to do with the GOP. And I suppose you're wondering why I tell you this, so, here goes:
This past Sunday longtime Republican activist Rusty DePass, member of the GOP, posted a racist joke on his Facebook page about First Lady Michelle Obama.
See, over the weekend, a gorilla escaped from the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, and according to the New York Daily News, DePass just couldn't resist what he saw as the perfect opportunity for humor, updating his status message to read:
"I'm sure it's just one of Michelle's ancestors - probably harmless."
Now, this a man who is in the public eye, working with a specific political party which is today in shreds, and trying to woo minority voters to join him, but can't seem to shy away from making racists jokes and posting them on the web, where we all know, no one will ever see them.
This is the GOP of today. They say one thing to your face and then post something different on Facebook. And then, to make matters worse, he offers what, to him, amounts to an apology, when speaking to a local news station in Columbia:
"I am as sorry as I can be if I offended anyone. The comment was clearly in jest."
I'm sorry if I offended anyone. But he isn't really sorry because then he blames Michelle Obama for what he said. DePass says, "[t]he comment was hers, not mine," and claims that Michelle Obama made a recent remark about humans descending from apes, though no one has been able to find such a statement made by the First lady.
I have a Theory of Evolution: The GOP is evolving. Into nothingness.
