Bobservations

We were doing the grocery shopping and Carlos, who usually stops by customer service to get a Lottery ticket, asked the woman at the counter where they had “chop sticks.” She said she didn’t think they had chopsticks, but maybe he could check the International Foods aisle and he, shocked, asked:

“Why would it be there?”

“As I said, I don’t think we have chopsticks but—”

“No, I need chap sticks … for my lips.”

And there’s the proof that it’s not just me playing Lucy to his Ricky.

On Sunday August 30, 2009, Carlos was working on a presentation on HIV/AIDS for a local high school and just like last week when he helped me  with the laundry, Tuxedo thought he’d help his other Daddy ... by laying on the presentation.

I could be wrong but last night when I ordered a pickup service this is what they sent me. I believe it’s called Uber Cakes.

This week on 60 Minutes Louisiana’s MAGAt governor Jeff Landry tried to claim that because he grew up in a town that had a majority Black population, he has lived the same experiences as Black Louisianans.

The ignorance of that statement is on another level and explains why the people of Louisiana are trying to recall him and have him removed from office.

A tourist who was filmed throwing a large rock at an endangered seal as it swam off the Lahaina shoreline boasted that he didn’t care about the consequences because he’s “rich.”

Police officers were called and obtained a description of the moron and found a 37-year-old adult man-child who matched the description of the suspect. He was detained, identified and advised of his legal rights, though he declined to make a statement and invoked his legal rights to an attorney.

I say put the “rich” fuck in the water and throw rocks at his head.

The South Carolina House of Representatives passed a bill this week to allow ivermectin, AKA horse-paste, to be sold to people without a prescription.

Seriously, it’s not the heat it’s the stupidity.

Once again Cankles snapped at a female reporter who questioned the cost of the Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Ballroom™ and the demented doddering rapist racist became irate and said:

“I doubled the size of it you dumb person!”

Earlier this week he told a female reporter from ABC that she was an idiot, and after leaving an impromptu press conference he pointed into the crowd of reporters and muttered:

“She’s a bitch.”

Here’s the deal journalists, when you let this sexual predator talk to anyone like that and say nothing, you are complicit. I would just like to see one of you stand up for the women he denigrates on a regular basis.

It’s disgusting how y’all just stand there.

I just got done dogging South Carolina and now this comes along.

Apparently the South Carolina State Senate failed to advance the GOP redistricting efforts to carve up the state's existing congressional district map. So, how did that happen?

Five Republicans ,,, yes, you read that right ... voted against the effort despite pressure from Cankles who was urging South Carolina to play the racist card like Tennessee and Louisiana. The five Republicans who said 'No' and stood up to the demented bully are Shane Massey, Sean Bennett, Chip Campsen, Tom Davis, and Greg Hembree.

Good on them, though the fight is not quite over. I hope they continue to stand their ground.

Fares Ben M’barka is a model who holds both Tunisian and French nationalities but is based in Paris but other than all I know is he’s a strapping hunk at 6’3” tall. Knowing that, Would You Hit It?

This Is The GOP & Why You Need To Vote Blue

Here we are again, with a wee taste of the lunacy, racism, criminality, and bigotry and hate inside the GOP and it’s going around the country …

CONGRESS

Eight Senate Republicans, head cheerleader Mike Lee of Utah, and Mean Girls J.D. Vance of Ohio, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, Eric Schmitt of Missouri, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Rick Scot and Marco Rubio of Florida, and Roger Marshall or Kansas, are vowing to oppose major legislation and Biden nominees led by the Democratic Senate, following the guilty verdicts for Hair Furor.

These eight traitors to their jobs and to the Constitution of the United States say they will oppose any increases to non-security related funding, Biden judicial and political nominations and “expedited consideration and passage” of Democratic legislation.

Of note, it was just last year when heavy rains left thousands stranded in the mud at Burning Man that Head Cheerleader of Hair Furor Mike Lee declared it to be God’s punishment for the attendees’ supposed promiscuity. But he has no problem with a serial adulterer, sexual predator who fucks porn stars and then lies and cheats to cover it up.

THAT’S the GOP.

FLORIDA

The Florida Board of Education approved several tweaks to the state’s standards for teaching social studies but left intact controversial pieces on Black history that sparked widespread backlash last year.

Florida’s new teaching standards include the same requirement that middle school students learn “how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.”

In addition lessons surrounding the 1920 Ocoee massacre and the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre will be labeled as violence perpetrated “against and by” African Americans.

Racism in the Sunshine State will be taught in schools.

TEXAS

University of Texas at Austin professor Daniel Bonevac, and others in the state university system, claim that “pregnancy is not a disease, and [therefore] elective abortions are not ‘health care.'”

He also claims that pregnancy is the result of “voluntary and consensual sexual intercourse”—never rape or incest—and students should not be allowed time off to get abortions. And if the students disobey and miss class for abortion care the professors should be allowed to flunk students.

Look at it like this: a college professor forces a female student into a sexual relationship if she wants to pass his class but if she gets pregnant and has an abortion, the professor can flunk her.

Texas needs to abort these asshatted professors.

Also in Texas ... according to the newly-adopted Texas Republican Party platform homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice and so there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin. The GOP also says they oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction, or belief in traditional values.

Texas hates fags.

LOUISIANA

First-of-its-kind legislation that classifies two abortion-inducing drugs as controlled and dangerous substances was signed into law by Louisiana GOP Governor Jeff Landry. Landry, clearly a moron, boasts that the drugs can still be obtained, even though medication abortion is illegal in his state.

The measure makes Louisiana the only state to categorize mifepristone and misoprostol in this way, adding them to Schedule IV of the state’s Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law.

The policy drew support from anti-abortion advocates and alarm from medical professionals and abortion-rights activists in a state where both medication and surgical abortion are illegal.

Louisiana hates women and doesn’t believe that have the right to control their own bodies.

COLORADO

The Colorado Republican Party is issuing a call to its members to pull their children from public school, saying Democrats are using schools to “turn more kids trans.”

Yes, Democrats have that much power.

Under the leadership of Colorado GOP Chairperson Dave Williams the state Republican Party has tacked to the hard right despite holding less electoral power than at any time since before World War II.

And since they have so little power, howsabout voting them all from office so they will have zero power?

SOUTH DAKOTA

A new South Dakota policy to stop the use of gender pronouns by public university faculty and staff in official correspondence is also keeping Native American employees from listing their tribal affiliations in a state with a long and violent history of conflict with tribes.

It came only months after Republican Governor , Liar and Dog Killer  Kristi Noem sent a letter to the regents that railed against “liberal ideologies” on college campuses and called for the board to ban drag shows on campus and “remove all references to preferred pronouns in school materials,” among other things.

All nine voting members of the board were appointed by Noem so it’s no surprise they goose-step behind her. As of now Kristi Noem has been banned from all tribal lands in her state.

Let’s follow that lead and ban her from office as soon as possible.

And that’s just a small taste of GOP lunacy ... anti-women’s rights, voter fraud, anti-transgender hate, traitors, anti-abortion rights, anti-LGBTQ+ and more.

So what do we do if we want more Good News? We ...

Vote Blue. Here's Another Slew of Reasons Why

Here we are again, with a wee taste of the lunacy, racism, criminality, and bigotry and hate inside the GOP and it’s going around the country …

LOUISIANA

A newly proposed GOP bill would categorize mifepristone and misoprostol—the drugs used to induce an abortion—as controlled dangerous substances, threatening incarceration and fines if an individual possesses the pills without a valid prescription or outside of professional practice.

Legislators in Baton Rouge added the provision as a last-minute amendment to a Senate bill that would criminalize an abortion if someone gives a pregnant woman the pills without her consent, a scenario of “coerced criminal abortion.”

GEORGIA

The state’s  Republican Party has removed Brian Pritchard, its first vice chairman, after an administrative law judge found he voted illegally nine times after moving to the state.

Every accusation by a Republican is an admission.

WEST VIRGINIA

Leading up to last week’s primary, Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, Chris Miller and Moore Capito, three of the GOP candidates for governor have been trying to outdo each other in proving their opposition to transgender rights.

The three transphobic bigots have been accusing each other of harboring transgender sympathies while touting their own efforts to restrict LGBTQ rights.

Bragging about who hates trans people more; that’s the GOP.

WASHINGTON DC

The House has passed a bill making it more difficult for the Energy Department to enact energy efficiency rules for household appliances; the vote was 212-195.

You know the GOP thinks anything related to better energy efficiency is a slippery slope to a Green New Deal and they won’t have it … until the planet starts to die and they start screaming.

NEW YORK

A measure that would codify abortion rights in the New York constitution, as well as other equal rights, was tossed off the ballot last week by a conservative judge in upstate Livingston County rejected the measure in a court ruling, questioning the legality of the ballot question.

Well, maybe abortion rights won’t be “officially” on the ballot, but the GOP’s attempt to deny a vote certainly will be.

CASTA  GODDAMNED VOTE, New York!

OHIO

In 2015, Ohio GOP Senate candidate Bernie Moreno used taxpayer dollars to shut down local roads so he could take a joy ride in an Aston Martin car that he purchased for $2.3 million.

Video shows at least three police cars blocking traffic in North Olmsted so Moreno could privately use the roads in his luxury Aston Martin Vulcan, which his dealership would later list for $3.4 million.

In a separate video from 2016, Moreno admits that he had the vehicle shipped to the United States in parts to avoid Environmental Protection Agency emissions restrictions on foreign vehicle imports.

The rules don’t apply to the GOP, apparently.

ARIZONA

State Senator Anthony Kern is no longer allowed to access legislative broadcast equipment after the Arizona Mirror reported on May 3 that he used the Senate’s broadcast studio to appear on a far-right talk show last week with a host who has declared Adolf Hitler a “hero.”

Kern appeared on ”The Stew Peters Show” to discuss a Drag Story Hour that was hosted the day before in a basement meeting room in the Arizona House and Kern joined the show live on video from the Arizona Senate studio.

Peters praised Kern and made the false claim that the drag event in the House included children—none were present—calling the drag king that spoke to the small group a “mentally ill satanic pedophile.” The event did not include children.

WASHINGTON DC

The House Judiciary Committee plans to prepare a resolution to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over the audio of President Joe Biden’s interview with former special counsel Robert Hur.

The DOJ provided the committees conducting the impeachment inquiry into Biden a full transcript of his interview and said Republicans haven’t explained why the audio is necessary, accusing them of seeking investigative material to “serve political purposes that should have no role in the treatment of law enforcement files.”

It's all a show for the House GOP who have accomplished nothing for We The People in the last two years.

FLORIDA

The state will eliminate climate change as a priority in making energy policy decisions, despite the threats it faces from powerful hurricanes, extreme heat and worsening toxic algae blooms.

GOP Governor Ron De GogoBoots signed the legislation, which is set to go into effect on July 1. The measure also removes most references to climate change in state law, bans offshore wind turbines in state waters and weakens regulations on natural gas pipelines.

Of note, the state is experiencing some of the highest temperatures ever recorded there—it was 107 in Miami this weekend—and South Beach streets flood almost daily with high tides.

But the words “Climate Change” cannot be said.

Also In Florida … the Governor has declared that there will be no Pride Month Rainbow lights on bridges.

Bridges across Florida, including the Sunshine Skyway and Ringling Causeway, will not gleam in rainbow colors this June in celebration of LGBTQ Pride Month but instead plans are in place to adorn Florida bridges in red, white and blue lighting between May 27 and September 2 as a part of the 2024 Florida Freedom Summer effort.

Florida Freedom does not apply to the LGBTQ+ community in Ronnie’s mind.

GOOD NEWS

WASHINGTON DC

After House Speaker, and Christian Nationalist, Mike Johnson’s appearance at Hair Furor’s criminal trial Democrats are saying the next time his own party comes for him and tries to remove him from office, the only assistance he’ll get from Democrats is when they help him pack.

Johnson called the legal proceedings a “sham of a trial,” adding:

“They are doing this intentionally to keep him here and keep him off of the campaign trail. And I think everybody in the country can see that for what it is.”

No, Mike, only the goose-stepping, Party Over Country GOP can see that kind of crazy.

ALABAMA

A bill that would have expanded the state’s “Don’t Say Gay” law died on the final day of the 2024 regular session.

The bill, sponsored by Republican Mack Butler would have extended Alabama’s prohibition on discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity from kindergarten to fifth grade to kindergarten to eighth grade. It also would have banned flags or other insignia indicating gender identity or sexual orientation.

Butler vows to bring the bill back next year saying he has not met any parents who want the topics discussed in schools and claimed that “there is a move across this nation to sexualize our children.”

And that’s just a small taste of GOP lunacy ... anti-women’s rights, voter fraud, anti-transgender hate, climate change deniers, anti-abortion rights, self-entitled one percenters, anti-drag but pro-Hitler, Hair Furor minions, anti-LGBTQ+ Pride, and more.

So what do we do if we want more Good News? We ...
