I Ain't One To Gossip But ....

I don’t usually talk about Eva Mendes because I don’t really know anything interesting about her other than that she may, or may not, be dating My-Husband-In-My-Head, Ryan Gosling but then I heard this.

It seems Ms. Mendes has sparked rumors that she may be pregnant with her first child — even though she is ALLEGEDLY off-again with Gosling — when she arrived at the TSA screening point at LAX and ALLEGEDLY told officers she would not be able to pass through the body scanner "because she’s pregnant."

But it’s also ALLEGED that Ms. Mendes was rushing to make her flight and may have used the ‘I’m pregnant’ excuse to slip through TSA.

Uh huh.
Oh, Paltrow, how you do amuse.

We all know that Gwynnie is so much better than mere mortals and knows everything about what to eat and wear and say and how to live because, well, she knows everything.

But she doesn’t know much about being a good neighbor, apparently, because now that she and Mr. Paltrow, Chris Martin, have moved to LA it has come to light that they left their London home because she felt their neighbors  who were not Goop fans  were gauche and nouveau-riche.

Pot.Kettle.Paltrow.

It all began after the Goops bought their home ten years ago and then bought the property next door, joining the two houses together, and then added a third home to create a simple 33-room mansion. And the neighbors grew sick and tired of all the constant renovation noise.

One resident said, ‘We have had years of their building works. They have taken down trees so they can park their flash cars in the driveway and they put a huge swimming pool in the back garden,. while another added, ‘The trouble is that it will probably be a similar sort that moves in and we’ll have this all over again.’

And so the Goop’s put the manse on the market for £7million — roughly 11,391,779 American — and moved to Beverly, Hills, that is.

I wonder how long before these new neighbors grow sick of Gwynnie.
So, Lohan and her shenanigans.

Lindsay Lohan claims that half of her two-piece $75K fur coat went missing from  a New York nightclub — and what’s really funny is that this is the same club where Lindsay was accused of stealing a fur coat six years ago … Karma anyone?

Lindsay didn't notice the theft until she left the club and realized she was only wearing half her coat. She instantly went back inside and the coat, er, half-coat, was missing. She then, ALLEGEDLY called everyone who was at her table to see if any of them had walked off with the half-a-coat or knew its whereabouts, and claims the only person she didn't hear from was an anonymous Seattle Seahawks player — in town for a game or something — and maybe he took the coat.

And if he did, or if he didn’t, the result of all of Lindsay’s histrionics is that she is now banned from the nightclub where she pitched her fit — and where she ALLEGEDLY stole that fur coat in ’06 — and other  clubs have followed suit.

The night after the Half-Coat Caper, Lindsay returned to 1Oak, but was denied by the doorman. A spy — probably Dina, drinking in the limo — says, “She stared the doorman down and was surprised that they wouldn’t let her in. She was definitely shaken up.” But then she tried another club, and tried sneaking in as part of a group that included Ryan Phillippe, Bar Refaeli, Paris HiltonKate Upton, but the same spy — definitely DUI Dina — says, “She was turned away, looked  to her friends and seemed really embarrassed.”

It’s like the Chateau Marmont all over again. Remember they banned Lindsay because she never paid her bills, and refused her entry to their property at all until Lindsay forced the producers of that movie she made that wasn’t a porn to pay her debts.

Well, it really seems now that Old Lindsay is back. Lock your doors; hide your jewels and furs and drugs, because Lohan’s on the prowl.
More Gwynnie? Remember last year when there was some gossip that Vanity Fair's Graydon Carter was doing a story on Paltrow and her Goop-ification, and the Paltrow Hate-a-thon?

Well, months went by and no story, so the rumors grew about some sort of "epic takedown” in which Gwyneth’s shenanigans would be exposed. But more months followed, and still no article. Then word came that Gwyneth had panicked, had tried to shut VF down, then played nice with Carter in exchange for a more favorable story on her fabulous life.

Now Carter has written about the Goop situation for the March issue, and in an online letter, he explains that he had assigned the Goop story to contributing editor Vanessa Grigoriadis after noticing that people tend to have a real love-hate/hate/hate opinion about her:
Vanessa turned in her story at the end of the summer. And it was just what had been assigned — a reasoned, reported essay on the hate/love-fest that encircles Gwyneth Paltrow. I thought it perfectly explained the whole phenomenon. But it was such a far cry from the almost mythical story that people were by now expecting — ... filled with “bombshell” revelations — that it was bound to be a disappointment. What to do? I decided to sit on it for a time.
In October, Gwyneth called me. We talked for about 20 minutes about the story and her reaction, or over-reaction, to it. At one point, she asked my advice as to what to do to get the “haters” on her side. I suggested putting on 15 pounds. I joked that it works for me. She replied I had put on much more than that. Which I thought was fair and funny … “
Let’s stop there because that is so Goop. She is always telling people she considers ‘fat’ how and what and when to eat so maybe Graydon should have suggested rather than opening her mouth to eat more, she shut her mouth and talk less.

That would have made a good story.
There were rumors flying last summer that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were doing the nasty in the Hamptons after they dirty danced to Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ at some party, but then it all sort of died down. Until now …

Rumor has it that the pair has been banging every chance they get, everywhere they get, and all of the time, even in NYC where Katie lives and Jamie’s filming a new version of the sure-to-be-a-box-office-bomb Annie.

Some say that Katie has admitted — and this made me vomit in my mouth a little — that Jamie “rocks her world” and has “extraordinary powers of seduction” and a “smooth game” and loves a good anti-Scientology joke.

That last part makes me believe all of it.

Now, folks are saying that because Katie and Jamie seem to appear at the same places, in the same cities, at the same time, all the time, that they are totally banging one another. In fact, they recently had a Grammy bang and then a Superbowl bang. ALLEGEDLY.

It seems Katie flew out to Jamie’s California home for some good times in the week before the Grammys and then flew to New York for a Superbowl tryst. A source — and it was probably Lohan scratching at the window of a nightclub — says they are treading carefully because Little Tommy Cruise is a friend of Foxx, and Jamie doesn’t wanna upset the little guy.

A kick to the shins could be painful, no?
Okay, before I talk about Justin Bieber, I’d like to share a comment with y’all that came after last week’s snark on The Biebs:
Bitchy Bartender said...
Hey, long time reader and big fan, but I'm a bit disappointed in your continued misgendering of Justin Bieber. It's misogynistic to use the feminine as an insult, and it's insensitive to trans people to use misgendering as a barb, as it is so often used against them. I would expect you to be someone who was sensitive to things that could offend ALL people under the LGBTQA umbrella.
Bob Slatten said...
Dear Bitchy,
You know, I didn’t think of it that way — shortened version: I didn’t think.
Even though I am full-on raging gay male, I adore women and respect women, and the transgender community, and never thought of my “jokes” as being an insult.
They stop here.
Thanks for the enlightenment.
So, it seems you can teach an old dog  at least this old dog  new tricks, so there will be no more feminizing of Bieber here, at least not by me, and I’d ask that y’all refrain from it as well, and now ….

Here’s the latest big Bieber controversy.

While travelling on a private jet to the Super Bowl, Justin and his crew — which now features his Daddy — ALLEGEDLY smoked so much pot that the pilots were forced to wear oxygen masks to avoid a contact high.

Why they didn’t just land in one of those square states in the middle and dump Justin off is beyond me, but I digress.

The Biebs and his posse smoked pot and downed the booze in rapid fire succession on the flight, according to NBC News, that the captain had to ask them to stop:
“The captain of the flight stated that he warned the passengers, including Bieber, on several occasions to stop smoking marijuana,” read a police report about the incident, which NBC News says it’s obtained. “The captain also stated he needed to request that the passengers stop their harassing behavior toward the flight attendant and after several warnings asked the flight attendant to stay with him near the cockpit to avoid any further abuse.”
When their plane landed at Teterboro Airport, it was boarded by DEA and Customs and Border Patrol agents who observed lingering pot smoke still inside the jet, the network reported. They took Little Justin aside and questioned him separately, where he admitted he had smoked marijuana and consumed alcohol.

But he wasn’t arrested for breaking the law? What’s gonna get him to stop acting like an entitled little talentless brat? Charges in Miami? Charges in LA? Charges in Canada? And now he’s taking his law-breaking, wannabe thug-itude to the skies.

Next time I hope the crew just opens a door and let’s him outside for a smoke and a drink.
And what about The Biebs on-again-off-again-on-again-who cares girlfriend, Selena Gomez?

She’s checked herself into rehab last month at a place called DAWN for alcohol abuse, pot abuse, and Ambien abuse — AKA The Lohan Cocktail — but quit two weeks later so she could go to Sundance and promote her latest film.

She told her people she would return to the rehab facility after Sundance, but when it was over Selena decided she was cured and there was no reason to return. A two week cure!

Of course, the people who run the facility are pretty concerned, what with Selena telling people that she completed the toughest week and she’s perfectly fine because she went two weeks without a drink or a toke or a pill or a Biebs encounter.

It seems that she’s blaming all her addictions on that little boy, whom she has called “that crazy boy”, but two weeks in rehab won’t be doing her any good.

I suggest she get Lohan to be her sponsor; at least they could get high together.
On to That Woman.

She’s an awful person who uses her children to make porn movies so she can sell them and pay the rent, then whores her family out to TV so she can make more money, and she whores out her ex-husband’s alarming plastic surgeries to make a pretty penny, but she’s not real good with the kids of hers that don’t bring home the bacon.

She cannot stand if the girls gain weight or refuse to get plastic surgery; she cannot stand that one daughter divorced her cheating crackhead husband, thereby losing her reality show and chunk of Mama’s income. But now she’s turned on the one child that doesn’t seem interested in making Mama rich.

That Mother has now turned her fat-hating attentions to her son Rob Kardashian. Apparently she has told him that he is an embarrassment to the family — sidenote: it’s the family that’s an embarrassment — and wants to send him to Fat Camp, or The Biggest loser if they make an enticing offer, so he’ll stop “losing out on business opportunities” like padding Mama’s wallet.

And she’s enlisted the aid of her fame-whoring daughters who are ALLEGEDLY embarrassed to be photographed with him and have begun bullying him for his weight; and then they leave cookies and cupcakes around to tempt him.

It’s a lovely family, y’all, created by That Woman’s desire to be a famous whore-monger.
Since we started with Eva Mendes, let’s end with her.

ALLEGEDLY she and My-Husband-In-My-Head Ryan Gosling are over for good, having split up at Christmas. That’s the good news.

The bad news is that Eva did lie about being pregnant to a TSA official but now it appears, at least according to her representative, that Eva doesn’t like to be scanned, so maybe she said she was pregnant so she could get the Pat Down instead.

Hmm, maybe Ryan dumped her because she likes getting felt up by strangers?

Must Have: Officer Grant Hazell

Grant Hazell and his sons, Max and Sonny

I have never been arrested; I’ve been stopped for speeding just twice in my life, but never been arrested. However, that may change, and all I need is a trip to Perth, Australia, and a chance to see the police schedule for one Grant Hazell.

That's him up there; cute, right. Aussie, curly hair. Adorable. But, and this is where I'm planning a trip Down Under, pun intended, Grant is the spitting image of Ryan Gosling and since I can’t get Ryan to manhandle me, well, a little arrest in Perth, and perhaps a “feet back and spread ‘em” from Grant might get me close enough to my dream.

Grant Hazell and Ryan Gosling

Hazell looks so much like Gosling, in fact, that women … women??? … are practically throwing themselves at his feet, and strangers on the street think he’s the real deal, maybe filming a movie in their midst.

Grant Hazell and Ryan Gosling

Now, Grant Hazell has gone from police officer to model, and Gosling look-alike, earning upwards of $800 an hour for just looking hot. Hazell, a father of two, signed a modeling contract after his wife, Caroline, sent off some photographs because she thought him a dead ringer for Gosling.
”Ryan Gosling has a very contemporary look which is very sought after in both the film and fashion industry. I don't find it hard impersonating him. I'm lucky that it comes quite naturally. I frown a lot which helps.”—Grant Hazell
Or you could just take your shirt off ….

Grant Hazell and Ryan Gosling

And yet he’s still a police officer … with handcuffs! … whose fellow officers are having a bit of fun with him. One day they put his picture up on the Most Wanted List, accusing him ’crimes against impersonating a celebrity.

And one American … no, not me … is so obsessed with Grant that he has received some 100 raunchy emails from the fan.

Again, not me.

I’m ready for my strip search, Officer Hazell.

Nope, it's Grant Hazell

I Didn't Say It ....

Jacob Rudolph, a high school senior in Parsippany, New Jersey, coming out to his entire class at their awards ceremony as he accepted the award for Best Actor:
"Sure I've been in a few plays and musicals, but more importantly, I've been acting every single day of my life. You see, I've been acting as someone I'm not. Most of you see me every day. You see me acting the part of 'straight' Jacob, when I am in fact LGBT. Unlike millions of other LGBT teens who have had to act every day to avoid verbal harassment and physical violence, I'm not going to do it anymore. It's time to end the hate in our society and accept the people for who they are regardless of their sex, race, orientation, or whatever else may be holding back love and friendship. So take me leave me or move me out of the way. Because I am what I am, and that's how I'm going to act from now on."

Welcome out Jacob. Now you can quit acting and focus on acting.

And acting surprised when Homo HQ sends you the obligatory Coming Out Toaster Oven and a copy of The Gay Agenda.
Welcome out.
PS Jacob received a standing ovation after his announcement.

Ryan Gosling, on his abs and pecs:
"Anyone can get those if they work at it. It's just a lot of exercising. And it's really quite pointless, because you go to a gym and you lift a heavy thing so a muscle grows, but the only thing the muscle can actually do is to lift that heavy thing. After a while they're like pets because they don't do anything useful. But you have to feed them and take care of them otherwise they'll go away. I feel a bit goofy having them, to tell you the truth."

Well, if you ever need a pet sitter, Ryan, I am always available. I think I can find something useful to do with them.

Mitch McConnell, on Obama’s inauguration speech:
"One thing is clear from the president's speech: The era of liberalism is back. His unabashedly far-left-of-center inaugural speech certainly brings back memories of the Democratic Party in ages past. If the president pursued that kind of agenda, obviously it's not designed to bring us together, and certainly not designed to deal with the transcendent issue of our era, which is deficits and debt."

Funny, Mitch, what have you done to deal with the deficit and the debt, because, as I remember, you said your only goal was to make Obama a one-term president and you couldn’t even accomplish that.
The blame for this mess goes at the feet of the party of NO, the GOP.

David Beuhner, a so-called ‘pastor,’ on The Gays:
"If we embrace homosexuality, we'll destroy society, we'll destroy families, we'll destroy everything. It's not just that God hates homosexuals, there's a reason why he hates it. If you break natural laws-- you say you don't believe in gravity, you jump off a building, you're gonna die. Homosexuality has consequences and God designed those consequences. The word of god is quite clear. He's destroyed every culture that has embraced homosexuality. The sin is similar to that of cannibalism and child molestation in the sense that it's a sin against society. I'm calling for discrimination against adulterers, rapists, murderers, homosexuals. Yes, we must discriminate as a society. God's law to the civil magistrate in terms of homosexuality says you should remove the abomination from the land."

Wow, I mean, I’d heard these kinds of wingnuts equate homosexuality to child molestation—even though 90% of child molesters are straight men—but I have never heard someone equate being gay with cannibalism.
Beuhner, honey, you are an asshat, and if you can find me the passage in the Bible that contains the words, the actual words, “God hates homosexuality” please send them on to me.

Chris Christie, New Jersey governor, on the NRA ad that attacks the Obama children:
"To talk about the president’s children or any public officer’s children who have, not by their own choice, but by requirement to have protection and to use that somehow to try to make a poetical point I think is reprehensible. They’ve got real issues to debate on this topic. Get to the real issues.  Don’t be dragging people’s children into this. It’s wrong and I think it demeans them [the NRA] and it makes them less of a valid, trusted source of information on the real issues that confront this debate."

They don’t have issues, so they’ll play the conservative/wingnut/birther/racist card for all it’s worth, though, I wonder how the NRA and its minions would have reacted had anyone, anywhere, ever placed an ad attacking the Bush children?

Paul Ferguson,  Arlington County Clerk of the Circuit Court, to the same-sex couples who appeared at his office to demand marriage licenses:
"I commend each of you that is coming forward today for your courage. I think you do realize that by law, the Commonwealth of Virginia does not allow me to issue those marriage licenses to you. I hope that if laws do change in the future, that you will choose to return one day to Arlington County to receive a marriage license.  Unfortunately, I am not able to grant that license by law."

One day, Paul.
One day, Virginia.

Derek Nance, a program director at Mataguay Scout Ranch, on being gay and a member of the Boy Scouts of America organization:
"I am gay... I'm open to all my friends and family in real life, but the people I truly feel closest to, I've had to remain distant. Which is why I've chosen this moment to open up to them, and to every other staff member of the Boy Scouts of America who is in the same position I am in. The only way we will change the Boy Scouts' discriminatory policies is if those of us who are on the front lines representing them to thousands of scouts every single summer start engaging in some open dialogue on this issue. Lawsuits by the ACLU or confidential reviews by the Boy Scouts are not going to change policies. The first step to coming to an agreement on this issue is to drop the old pretenses and stereotypes and to start actually talking."

If those people in the BSA who are gay, and gay-friendly, would start talking, things would have to change.
Silence gets us nowhere.

Michelangelo Signorile, on the idea that Manti Te’o might be gay:
"If the Notre Dame linebacker at the center of the 'girlfriend hoax' story indeed constructed an elaborate cover story for his gay closet, as so many gay men do in worlds that demand they be heterosexual, the emotional jolt of humiliation and embarrassment at being exposed will be overwhelming. We've seen too many young people, particularly with backgrounds like Te'o's, growing up in the conservative, anti-gay Mormon church, pushed against the wall by homophobia and going to extreme lengths in denying their homosexuality, sometimes even harming themselves."

Is this the example we want to set? That people need to stay so deeply closeted that every aspect of their lives is a lie built on a lie built on a lie?

James Deen, Lindsay Lohan's co-star in The Canyons, on the sex scenes making Lohan uncomfortable:
I can’t speak for her, but we were all hanging out, joking around, and it was the three of us naked in bed—and Lindsay was half naked—and then she all of a sudden was like, Could you guys put your clothes back on? I’m feeling really uncomfortable. And then we were like, Ugh, OK. So we put our robes back on, but she was still lying on the bed topless, and we were like, Well, what about you? And she was like, No! I can be naked, but you can’t be! We were like, All right … Whatever you need. … But, it was in her mind because everyone else on set was like, We’ve seen you in Playboy, we’ve seen crotch shots all over the Internet, so this is nothing new, but to her, it was something different. It was an escalating event where she tried to make it a big deal—no one cared—she tried to make it a bigger deal—no one cared—so then she just went around the corner of the room. She said, When Julia Roberts does topless scenes, she makes the whole crew shoot in their boxers! I want that! And the whole crew just rolled their eyes and was like, We’re not doing that. We’ll do that for fuckin’ Julia Roberts, but not you. Go find another crew; we’ll just leave.

Oh LOLhan. You, sir, are no Julia Roberts. You might have been on your way, at one time, but arrests and rehabs and jail terms changed all that.
Sidenote: James Deen: Folks says you’re good in this more mainstream movie, but enough with the ‘like’, like, you know, like it’s, like, annoying.

Pat Buchanan, asshat for all seasons, on the President’s inauguration speech:
“This is a cross between a State of the Union speech with an agenda and a partisan rally given to the DNC. And so, I think, the president lost a real opportunity. Look, they usually talk about what? When I was a kid, Lexington and Concord and Bunker Hill. What was he talking about? Stonewall. That’s a barroom brawl in Greenwich Village in 1969, when cops were hassling gays in their bar, and the gays fought back and threw them all out. Does that belong in a presidential inaugural?”

Yes, asshat, it does, when it involves Americans being treated as ‘less than’ and when it involves Americans being harassed, beaten and arrested simply for being gay.
And just because you stood on the cold ground at G. Washington’s inauguration and heard tell of Revolutionary War Battles means nothing.
Times have changed Pat, now you need to catch up.

I Didn't Say It........

Chris Evans, on his friend being his "butt double" in movies:
"My butt double is my roommate in Boston! He's a kid I grew up with. Anna said she got a butt double for the bay scene. My buddy Zach was like, 'Who's going to be your butt double?' and I said, 'I don't know. Do you want the gig?' I brought him down, he met the director, did a little spin around and boom -- he's in the movie! He's got a great ass."

WTF?
Chris Evans uses a butt double!
Oh, the humanity. Here I was dreaming about that butt and it wasn't even his??!!? Thank the goddesses he doesn't use a chest double.

Barack Obama, the the GOP presidential candidates and their non-response to the booing of a gay soldier:
"We don't believe in the kind of smallness that says it's okay for a stage full of political leaders -- one of whom could end up being the president of the United States -- being silent when an American soldier is booed. We don't believe in that. We don't believe in standing silent when that happens. We don't believe in them being silent since. You want to be commander in chief? You can start by standing up for the men and women who wear the uniform of the United States, even when it's not politically convenient. We don't believe in a small America. We believe in a big America -- a tolerant America, a just America, an equal America -- that values the service of every patriot."

I hope he talks like this all the time, calling out the GOP for their lies, and half-truths and insanity.
I want him to stand up for all of us against the GOP, and not just a gay soldier.

Mitt Romney, on why he won't scold those who booed:
“I think we can hear the boos. I would tell you that in these debates there’s been a lot of booing and a lot of applause, cheering and booing — some of which I don’t agree with. Now, I have not made it my practice to scold the audience and say, ‘I disagree with this person, I agree with that person’ because it goes in a lot of different directions. I don’t recall whether this soldier — whether people were booing his question or just…I don’t know when they booed and I don’t know why they booed. But I will tell you, that the boos and applause hasn’t always coincided with my own views, but I haven’t stepped in to try and say, ‘this one is right, this one is wrong.’ Instead, I focus on the things I think I will say.”

So presidential of you, Mittsy.
And exactly why we can't elect you. You won't stand up and tell those people who are in the wrong that they are in the wrong, especially if they are Republican.
Now, had it been a Democratic debate and people booed a gay soldier--and we'll have to suspend our beliefs systems here because that wouldn't happen--you can bet old Mittsy would be first in line to scold the crowds.
Pandering asshat.
Pandering unelectable asshat.

Tony Perkins, Family Rights Council asshat, blaming the booing of that soldier on Obama:
"As a young Marine I remember my First Sergeant telling me how he was greeted at the airport on his return to the United States by being spit upon and cursed by anti-war liberals that dominated the college campuses at the time.  I strongly condemn any disrespectful behavior toward anyone who has honorably served our nation in uniform.  But that is not what occurred at the debate.  Anyone who saw the debate could clearly see that the audience was booing not the soldier, but the President's policy to use our military as political pawns to force acceptance of a homosexual lifestyle that is abhorrent to most.  It is not conservatives who are spitting in the face of the military, it is the President and his liberal allies who are using our nation's brave men and women to advance their radical social policy agenda."

Oh Tony. STFU.
You have no clue what you're talking about. it was quite clear that the fact that a gay soldier was speaking to a Republican about DADT brought on the booing.
It's typical homophobic crap, something with which you are all too familiar.
STFU. Seriously.

Patti Stanger, the single Millionaire Matchmaker, on The Gays:
"In the show when we do the mixers, the guys are passing around the telephone numbers, they're sleeping with each other, even after the millionaire gets the date he's sleeping with the pool of people. My (gay) friend...says 'Patti this is what it's like around the country.' This is the gay community. I said, 'I'm trying to curb them.' Now this is not the lesbian. The lesbian gets involved. They move in together. They're quiet. They're at peace. But the gay men. They whip it out at eyelock. They get involved, and then they find out later whether or not they want a serious relationship. And I hope they use the privilege in New York of gay marriage, because now they have it. And a lot of gays aren't getting married, even though they have the privilege."

How does someone who can't even find herself a match,m act as an expert on the gay community?
And why do we let her?
Howsabout turning off the TV every time this wingnut opens her yap?
It's like she's Bravos own "Ann Coulter" saying whatever she wants to get ratings.
Not from this queen.

Toby Keith, country singer, on gay marriage:
"That whole gay issue thing, that's never bothered me. I've never seen what that affects and [why] anybody should care - and they never do affect me...First of all, we're going to stop somebody from getting a marriage license because they're gay? You won't stop them from living together, so what have you accomplished? ... Wasting a lot of money here and a lot of time that could be spent working on this deficit that we're under ... I never saw the reasoning behind getting in people's personal lives."

Well, I think people who are against same-sex marriage shouldn't care. I mean, I'm not all up in their marriage,m why should they be up in mine?
But same-sex marriage proponents should care, until we all have equality.
And while it's nice to hear a country music singer, especially a male one, say this, howsabout stepping up and speaking out for us, Keith?

Herman Cain, saying he should have said something when the GOP debate crowd booed that gay soldier:
"I happen to think that maybe they were booing the whole 'don't ask, don't tell' repeal more so than booing that soldier. But we didn't know that. In retrospect, because of the controversy it has created and because of the different interpretations that it could have had ... that would have been appropriate."

Could'a, would'a, should'a.
That's the GOP way, Hermy.
Always trying to unring a bell.

Ryan Gosling, on his looks:
“I’m not that good looking. I think I’m a pretty weird-looking guy. Every role I got up until ‘The Notebook’ [in 2004] was the weirdo, freak, psychopath, nerd, outsider character guy. I think things have changed."

Me thinks the hottie doth protest too much.
Seriously.
Get thee a mirror, Ryan.
Or just come on over to my house.
I can make you feel purty.

David Cameron, British Prime Minister, on being a Conservative who supports marriage equality:
"I once stood before a Conservative conference and said it shouldn’t matter whether commitment was between a man and a woman, a woman and a woman, or a man and another man. You applauded me for that. Five years on, we’re consulting on legalising gay marriage. And to anyone who has reservations, I say: Yes, it’s about equality, but it’s also about something else: commitment. Conservatives believe in the ties that bind us; that society is stronger when we make vows to each other and support each other. So I don’t support gay marriage despite being a Conservative. I support gay marriage because I’m a Conservative."

Wow.
I wonder if he might be able to swerve a certain other head of state, say, across the pond, who is still evolving on gay marriage?
Just sayin'.
