I Ain't One To Gossip But ...

Bobby Berk, the Queer Eye interior designer, was on Jenny McCarthy’s Sirius XM show because we’re in a pandemic and what else can you do, to dish about a Real Housewife of New York who got free work out of him under false pretenses and then returned to his store when he wasn’t there to clean him out of thousands of dollars of free merchandise.

Now, Bobby, whom I wouldn’t know if he crossed my path, has never said who the RHoNY wife was, but US Magazine says it was  Aviva Drescher, whom Bobby once called a “con artist.” If you don’t know Aviva, she was the housewife who lost a leg in a barn accident—seriously—and on an episode of the show, when she was called a fake, literally took her leg off and threw it across the room, shouting:
“That’s the only thing fake about me.”
Now, this is what Berk said about Aviva Drescher his client:
“[She] was like, ‘Oh, I’m buying this new [house].’ Turns out, of course, she wasn’t buying it … but she’s like, ‘I want you to come in and design it all. I’m gonna put you on the show.’ … I still kind of liked the Housewives, so I was like, ‘Oh, OK, but just so you know, I’m not doing it for free. I don’t need to do it for free. I don’t necessarily know if the Housewives is really the exposure I want anyways, so I’ll do it for you at cost.’ And she’s like, ‘OK, OK, that works.’”
But then her husband said it needed to be done for free—Red Flag—so Berk declined to do it at all. And so, Aviva the client came into his store when he wasn’t there and told the staff that she had his permission to take anything she wanted, and even gave them credit card to charge her for anything she didn’t bring back.

Months later, when nothing was returned, Berk tried to charge the card, but it was declined. He then confronted Drescher the client who threatened to sue him saying:
“You know what? Then let’s go to court. This’ll be good TV. It’s easier for us just to have our lawyer deal with it than it would be to actually pay you.’”
It looks like Aviva is as phony as her leg.
Apparently, The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller is still happening, but that’s not the big news. That news is that it looks like Michael Keaton will slather himself in lube and slip on the Batsuit once again to play Batman in the film.

But then what about Robert Pattinson who is playing Batman in a different Batman movie. How many Batmans do we need? And why can’t we get Burt Ward to shove his ALLEGEDLY huge manhood back into those green short shorts?

I’d pay to see that.
We all know that Mel Gibson is a racist, anti-Semitic, misogynistic homophobe after his drunk driving arrest years back. And we also know he’s a rabid Roman Catholic religious wingnut … at least until he divorced his wife, mother of his many children, so he could play house with his new Baby Mama. But now, we get a little more, and yet still old, dirt on Mel and Hollywood anti-Semitism from one Winona Ryder.

When asked if she’d ever experienced anti-Semitism in Hollywood, Ryder said:
“I have … in interesting ways. There are times when people have said, ‘Wait, you’re Jewish? But you’re so pretty!’ There was a movie that I was up for a long time ago, it was a period piece, and the studio head, who was Jewish, said I looked ‘too Jewish’ to be in a blue-blooded family.”
And then she talked Mel:
“We were at a crowded party with one of my good friends, and Mel Gibson was smoking a cigar, and we’re all talking and he said to my friend, who’s gay, ‘Oh wait, am I gonna get AIDS?’ And then something came up about Jews, and he said [to me], ‘You’re not an oven dodger, are you?’”
Gosh, he’s just delightful, no? Ryder says he tried to apologize later, but Gibson says it never happened. Huh; who to believe, Winona, who has a troubled shoplifting past, or Gibson, who when he was arrested for being a drunken idiot in 2006 said this to police:
“The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world!”
He blamed that on being recorded without his knowledge, which, correct me if I’m wrong, doesn’t mean he never said it, it just means he didn’t know it was being recorded. Gibson also got into a drunken shrieking match with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva in which he used racist slurs, including the n-word.

Yeah, I think I’m Team Ryder here.
A long time ago, in a music business far, far away, long before he was an out and proud queen, Elton John kinda dabbled in heterosexuality.

Well, he married a woman at any rate. In 1984, John married Renate Blauel, a German sound engineer. That’s them up there and if Elton’s outfit doesn’t shrieeeeeeeeek Barbershop Quartet of Homos, well, you aren’t listening. Their marriage lasted just four years and Renate’s kept a low profile ever since … until last week when she popped up out of nowhere to seek an injunction against Elton. Renate’s lawyer says she’s “hoping to resolve it amicably” but wouldn’t say what “it” was although injunctions are usually related to “privacy matters or to prevent publication of material”.

Juicy, it seems. But why now? Is it because Elton talked about her in his autobiography, "Me", or that the marriage was a brief—and I mean brief—scene in Rocketman and now she wants coins?

Stay tuned …
Kanye West and The Gap are teaming up to sell his clothes at their stores throughout the nation. I think they’re even changing the name of the store to The Krap.

I mean, it makes sense, no?
Poor Lori Loughlin. She’ll never be named Mother of the Year; her daughters won’t even graduate from community college; she’s off to prison; she’s terrified of the COVID-19; and now this …

Criminals Lori Loughlin husband, Mossimo Giannulli are … gosh, this is hard … haven’t they suffered enough … voluntarily resigning from the exclusive Bel-Air Country Club. What a sacrifice, though I think it was less Lori’s idea and more of a ‘Here’s your membership check back’ from the club. But, fear not, Lori and Mossimo may be allowed back in once their prison sentences are complete, though they will only be allowed to use the shallow end of the pool.

Cuz they’re shallow? Get it?
Still, the thought that the felons would be allowed to rejoin once they’re out of the Fuller Big House did not sit well with past club president, Michael Gallagher who told the board:
“BACC is a Club of gentlemen and gentlewomen. Gentlemen are not felons, and felons in turn are not gentlemen. You cannot be a member in good standing and guilty of a felony at the same time, it is a non sequitur….The board action, taken on behalf of the Club’s membership, now establishes our Club as a place of refuge and comfort for known felons … and our Club has become a laughingstock.”
I picture Gallagher dressed as Scrooge McDuck when he dictated that letter. Still, he has a point, though if every country club in the country booted all their felon members there’d be nothing but pool boys and bartenders left.

Hmmm, where do I get an admissions form?
I am gagged! A very detail oriented TikTok user, AKA Kelly Sipos, found something odd as she watched old episodes of Glee.

It appears that to cut costs for the show—cuz hiring extras Lea Michele didn’t hate was pricey—Ryan Murphy used actual dummies to fill spaces in the audience when the show filmed performance scenes.

Yes, that’s the, um, audience, up there.

The good news is that some of these dummies are now getting work on The Bold and the Beautiful as sex partners to the cast while filming—see that post HERE.
We all know that 70-year-old music producer and composer David Foster is currently on his fifth wife, 36-year-old Katharine McPhee, but this is about the breakup of his fourth marriage to 56-year-old Yolanda Hadid. They were together for nine years, and even appeared as a, um, happy couple on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but then Yolanda was diagnosed with Lyme disease and Foster hit the bricks.

Yolanda says he left because she was sick and she could no longer be arm candy and maybe he was looking for someone younger—rumors flew that, even while married to Yolanda, Foster and McPhee were friendly—and in her memoir Yolanda ALLEGES that Foster told her “your sick card is up.”

Now, in a documentary, Foster is hitting back:
“How can I leave a sick woman? The fact of the matter is that was not the reason I left. It was for a different reason which I will never disclose that had nothing to do with her being sick.”
Huh; that has shades of Tommy Cruise leaving Nicole Kidman for reasons “she knows” and then he ended up with a decades younger wife; must be a ‘thing’. Foster does, however, kind of hint that it had something to do with RHoBH except that Yolanda left the show when she and Foster spilt; still, he says:
“My wife at the time wanted to do the show. I didn’t want to be the guy to say no. I’ve got 16 f–king Grammys, half a billion records. Fuck that show!”
And yet he used that show to tout his career and even allowed the show to film him in concert and getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I think he left for a younger healthier model, so take note McPhee …the clock is ticking and if I’m not wrong, Wife #6 just graduated high school.

Carlos called to tell me he was moving a refrigerator at work and bemoaned the fact he was being treated like a hired hand.
i told him i would call his boss and ask her to change his name to Manuel Labor.
Get it? Manual Labor ... Manuel Labor?
Okay ... I'll stop.
For some reason ... I'll blame wine ... I DVR'd a Cameron Diaz movie, Sex Tape, the other day. And last Sunday afternoon, while it rained outside, I decided to watch it.
Five minutes in I couldn't stop thinking how much I dislike Cameron Diaz and how much she looks like Jack Nicholson's Joker with the make-up.
Then I clicked 'Erase' on the DVR and turned over to an SVU marathon.
According to anti-gay Pastor Rick Scarborough, members of Congress are "lining up" to sign a pledge saying they'll defy a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of nationwide marriage equality:
“We’re taking a very adamant stand. If the court declares same-sex ‘marriage’ to be on the same par as a civil right, that’s a bridge too far. We won’t obey. We’ll go to jail.”
Good, with many of the more conservative members of Congress doing jail time, maybe we'll actually see our government get something done.
Can someone please ask Kathy Griffin to stop the Why I Left Fashion Police Tour? I cared for about a nano-second and then I was over it but she's acting like it's Carson leaving the Tonight Show.
i love you Kathy, but take a seat already.
Glee finally came to an end last Friday night ... at least two years too late, if you ask me.
Ted Cruz shut down the government—costing taxpayers $24 billion—because he wanted to repeal Obamacare.
Ted Cruz said, in his speech announcing his soon-to-fail presidential bid, that he would dismantle Obamacare word by word.
Ted Cruz’ wife has quit her job to help with his campaign, and now has no healthcare so …
Ted Cruz added his wife to his policy … his Obamacare policy.
Hypocrite say what?
Y’all know I’m a huge fan of Justified because … Timothy Olyphant. But the other night I finally took a good look at Mike, played by Jonathan Kowalsky.
Yum. That is all.
Matt McLaughlin, California wacknut bigot and homophobe lawyer, proposed new legislation for the state: the "Sodomite Suppression Act." And since there are no legal remedies to stop the insanity of having this bill placed on the ballot, it looks like it may go forward.
Enter activist Charlotte Laws, who has filed to have her own piece of legislation considered: the “Intolerant Jackass Act,” AKA the exact opposite of McLaughlin’s proposal.
Would that I could vote in California ...
Can I please ask that anyone, anyone, who uses the phrase, "It is what it is," as an excuse to please stop it?

Right now.

Random Musings

Still loving Obama’s “I won both of them” from the other night, and loving the fact that, as much as the GOP tries to portray him as a Muslim illegal immigrant, he keeps going and going and, well, gosh darn, people are liking him, again.

His poll numbers are at 50% approval rating.

Another snap at the GOP!
Speaking of Obama’s SOTU the other night:

Bobby Jindal's Nit-Twit response? 'Your welcome.? He could’a used some free community college, no?
On to American Horror Story …

After this season Jessica Lange is said to be leaving and creator Ryan Murphy has announced that the show will reinvent itself—something I thought it did every season.

I am liking Freak Show, but it is kind of ‘kitchen sink’-ish in that they just keep throwing more into it, when sometimes less is more, and better.

Twisty the Clown? Gone too soon.
Frances Conroy? Gone too soon.

And they kind of wasted Angela Basset and Gabourey Sidibe this season, though I did like the links between Freak Show and Asylum; that was cool.

That said, i liked the finale; I liked the way they tied up some of the characters' storylines; i liked the way Elsa went out; and, of course, Dandy in his Tighty Whities is always a treat!.
Speaking of TV, we like Grimm …

The stories are interesting, and different, and, well, David Giuntoli is easy on the eyes. But last week there was a new cop, a kinda bad cop, on the show, played by Will Rothhaar.

Totes adorbs. But, seeing as he’s a bad guy, I imagine he will be dying soon.

Also back on TV, the entirely swoon-worthy Timothy Olyphant is back for the last season of Justified.

Man.Candy.
I am infuriated by all the backlash against people who have come out against Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper, calling it, as Michael Moore did, a propaganda film for war; or Seth Rogen, who also bashed the film.

That sent the likes of Dean Cain into a frenzy, and he called Rogen out for never have gone to war, which lead me to wonder: Dean? Which war did you fight in?

Also fuming at Moore and Rogen were the Mama Grizzly Bore™ and Rob Lowe, who seem to have forgotten that men like U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle — the American Sniper portrayed in the film — fought for the rights of Americans, including the right not to like a movie.

Siddown you three.
Also on TV last week was an episode of Glee, now limping along in its last season, The show started off good and fun and cute, then veered off into the ridiculous, though every so often they come along with an episode that makes you think.

Like last week when Coach Bieste announced that she was transgender and was undergoing gender reassignment. A lot of folks don’t ‘get’ what it means to be transgender, and equate it with being gay or lesbian or bisexual only. The question was posed to Coach Bieste, assigned the female gender at birth, if she would be a gay man after the surgery, and Coach Bieste replied:

"It's not about who I go to bed with, it's about who I go to bed as."

I think that is one of the best responses to the question of what transgender means as I have ever heard.
The White House State Of The Union luncheon is an annual tradition and every year dignitaries and news personalities are invited to join the President in a pre-speech feast. But this year’s lunch featured a delightful jab at the folks at Fox news, and a bit of a reality check.

According to Fox News’ Shepherd Smith,  he noticed something a little strange about the place cards on the tables:

“I sat next to Brian Williams, we all have these place cards, and his said ‘Brian Williams NBC News.’  Across from me was the new guy, David Muir, it said ‘David Muir ABC News.’  Over next to the President was Scott Pelley and it said ‘Scott Pelley ABC News.’  I looked at mine, and it doesn’t say anything about news, it just says ‘Fox.’  And I looked at Bret Baier’s and it just said ‘Bret Baier Fox.’  But all the rest of them got ‘News.’ I mean I don’t care, lunch was great.  But, uh, I guess there’s a message received. “

The message, Shep, is that Fox is not News and everyone knows it.

I Ain't One To Gossip But ...

By the time you read this Kanye West might already be married to his Baby Mama and future ex-wife, Kim Kardastrophe.

See, it seems the fame-whores want not one, not two, but three weddings, one for each month this marriage will last, I guess.

Their representatives are saying that the Kardastrophe-West’s will be married once in California, and twice in France — the California marriage is just so there will be no question about the legality of the French marriages, which will be filmed for TV because when you got your start on film with your legs in the air and an Open For Business sign above your vagina, everything else must be filmed, too.

Still, in the space of a month, Kanye West will have been married three times, and Kim Kardastrophe will be on her sixth wedding.

Yeah, this’ll last.
You just know Mariah Carey is jealous of Beyoncé because, well, she’s Beyoncé and not Mariah Carey. But I never knew her jealousy would lead to outright mimicry; or as Carey might call it, Mimi-cry.

Remember when Beyoncé stunned the world — or at least those folks in the world who care about Beyoncé, yours truly not included — by releasing a new album in the middle of the night with no advance word and no advance publicity?

Well, Mariah Carey wanted to do that, too, to show the world that she is Beyoncé’s equal, except that Mariah decided to tell people she was gonna release her album in secret, in the middle of the night with no advance publicity … except for telling us.

Mariah Carey is no Beyoncé; she’s Beyoncé-Lite, or Beyoncé-dumb.
Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, his decade’s younger wife — he’s 72, she’s 48 — were arrested over the weekend for some kind of domestic violence business.

It seems police were called to Paul Simon and Edie Brickell’s manse in New Canaan, Connecticut over the weekend after the two got into some sort of fight. Police investigated and cuffed the duo and both were charged with disorderly conduct. Chief of Police Leon Krolikowski said it was a family dispute that reached the level that required police to make an arrest.

I have a suggestion for Edie; the next time she and Paul are about to get into, just pick him up and put him on a High Shelf Time Out.

Or, for Paul. He could just take away Edie’s tambourine. For the love of God, take away her tambourine.
This has got all kinds of Icky on it.

Rumor once had it that diminutive singer — singer, I kid — Justin Bieber once cheated on his girlfriend Selena Gomez with model Miranda Kerr, best known as wife of, and baby mama for, Orlando Bloom.

Icky. Followed by Double icky … because now it seems that Orlando, though he’s divorced from Kerr, and Gomez, who, this week, is off-again with Justin, are doing the nasty.

Talk about a Daisy Chain Math Problem of STDs: Miranda + Orlando + Justin = Justin + Selena + Orlando. Solve for icky.
And speaking of Selena Gomez, she once was friend with Kardashian-adjacent Kylie and Kendall Jenner, until one of the Jenner girls also banged Justin. Then Selena dubbed them both toxic and cut them out of her life.

Good, only now those Jenner girls, who learned from the master — That Woman — how to keep your name in the press no matter what, are saying Selena is the toxic one and, well, my previous post has the math to prove it.

Selena Gomez recently cut ties with Kendall and Kylie by not only unfollowing them on Instagram — oh, that is so so painful — and also deleting the pictures she’d taken with them at Coachella. But now the Jenner girls are getting the last gossip snap by reminding folks that Selena has been to rehab and is a “drama-obsessed party girl.”

Here’s what happened: Selena schtupped Justin who schtupped Kylie or Kendall, or maybe both, and the girls, fools that they are, took their anger out on one another rather than going after the Tiny Pop Star.

Perhaps they could find a spot for Justin on that high shelf with Paul Simon?
A while back, we talked about the feud on the Glee set between divas Lea Michele and Naya Rivera, which caused one or both of them to walk off the set in a huff.

Rumor had it Naya was tired of Lea being a demanding diva, or that she had found out that her now ex-fiancé Big Sean had dipped his Little Sean in Lea’s ladybits.

Either way, it seems that Lea has the last laugh because rumor has it Naya has been fired, let go, written out, or not asked back to Glee.

In fact, rumor has it that the studio asked Naya for her parking pass, and then cleaned out her on-set trailer the minute the word came down.

Naya’s reps are calling bull shiz on the whole story, but the fact is that Naya was written out of the season finale and there’s no word on whether or not she’ll be back next season.

For me, though, that’s good news, because if you knew the Titanic was going to sink, and you had a shot at a lifeboat, wouldn’t you take it?
Ready for more icky?

James Franco, media-whore, and sore loser — he blasted a Broadway critic for not raving about his performance in Of Mice and Men, though no word on what Franco did when the Tony nominations came out and his name was absent — is kissing, and only kissing, and telling about Lindsay Lohan.

It all started with The List that someone on Team Lindsay — Hey Dina! — leaked and Franco saw his name as one of Lohan’s f**k-buddies. Now, Franco says he never schtupped Lohan — again, icky — though he admits there was some mouth-to-mouth germ swapping going on:

“I will swear on anything you ask that I have never had sex with Lindsay Lohan. All right, we maybe kissed. It was lame. I can’t believe she put me on that private list, she’s so delusional! … When we made out it was so long ago. I was like a nice guy. Okay [I said], the kiss is enough.’ It was also like, ‘What the hell am I doing?’ She was young.”

Like that ever stopped him before —remember it was just last month when he tried to pick up a high school girl online — but then Franco claims that he woke up one night to find Lohan in his room ... or, maybe he had just passed out under a bar and woke up to find she had passed out next to him?
I’m a little over Jennifer Lawrence; she used to be cute and spunky and kind of America’s Edgy Sweetheart. When she stumbled and fell up the stairs to accept her Oscar in 2013, it was precious, but when she stumbled and fell on the Oscar red carpet in 2014 reeked of publicity stunt.

Well, it turns out that Lawrence was drunk at the Oscars this year, which may account for the stumble, and definitely accounts for the fact that she blew chunks while walking into Madonna’s post-Oscar bash right in front of Miley Cyrus, who ALLEGEDLY said, in her own Marlboro-gin-soaked voice, “Get it together, girl.”

You just know that if Mylie Cyrus is the one who thinks you’re out of control, you are out of control.
Remember Josh Hartnett?

Me neither, but apparently back in the early 2000s he was the next It Boy, and then he disappeared into a series of really bad films and “indie” projects for about a decade, until resurfacing this month on Showtime’s Penny Dreadful.

And now, when asked where he’d been, he didn’t talk about bad film choices, and low-budget straight to DVD messes, he says, with an apparently straight face, that he disappeared because he was so red hot in Hollywood that everyone wanted to work with him; in fact, he says he was offered every single superhero role that has come down the pike since 2001:

Spider-Man was something we talked about. Batman was another one. But I somehow knew those roles had potential to define me, and I didn’t want that. I didn’t want to be labeled as Superman for the rest of my career. I was maybe 22, but I saw the danger.”

Where’s Mylie Cyrus when you need her to say, again, “Get it together, girl!”?

Random Musings

Santana is rapidly becoming the most interesting character on Glee, though I could watch Darren Criss just dance for an hour every week.

Bill O'Reilly is a loudmouth; A boorish, one-note, bullying loudmouth. So, I just love to see him get shutdown, especially when he's peddling one of the books he "wrote".
I giggled a couple of years back when i read about the soldiers in Afghanistan, who gleefully burned his book, Pinheads and Patriots. Now, to be fair, they didn't burn the book because they disagreed with O'Reilly, they burned it because O'Reilly says he steadfastly supports our troops, and yet instead of sending them things they could use, like, say, food or soap, he sends them copies of his book. How.Useful. [source]
And now, it's Ford's Theatre, not burning, but banning, his latest book, Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever. Now, this isn't because O'Reilly is a douchenozzle, it's, as Rae Emerson, deputy superintendent of Ford's Theatre, "because of the lack of documentation and the factual errors within the publication."
Lack of documentation? Not a single footnote in O'Reilly's "history" book.
Factual error? Well, for one, the book talks of the many meetings Lincoln held in the Oval Office, even though the Oval Office did not exist until some 44 years after Lincoln's death.
Factual errors? O'Reilly wrote of generals U.S. Grant and Robert E. Lee, saying, "The two warriors will never meet again" when, in fact, Lee and Grant did meet again, in 1865, to discuss prisoners of war.
Oh, Billy Boy, who's the real pinhead? Um, yeah, it's you, because, if you;'re gonna write about history, you ought to have read about it first. [source]

Lotsa folks are grumbling about Billy Crystal replacing Eddie Murphy as host of the Oscars after Murphy stepped down. They're saying it's like a trip back in time.
I'm saying it's like a trip back to funny, and a really good show.

If the Bill O'Reilly story wasn't enough to make me laugh, this one did the trick.
There is a new building--well, it's a couple of years old--in the Bronx, that was funded by New York's Housing and Development Corporation, and backed by voracious homophobe, bigot, and anti-marriage equality politico, Ruben Diaz.
But, the LGBT community gets the last laugh, because this week Bronx Pride set up shop in what is now called the Ruben Diaz Gardens. A building named after a huge homophobe houses Bronx Pride.
Karma is a bitch, Rube. [source]

Top Chef: Texas.
Chris R. is hot, Beverly is wound too tight, Lindsay is tense, Sarah...I just don't like her...and Hugh Acheson's face is latex.
That's all.

Hermie Cain goin' all Rick Perry: "President Obama called for the removal of (Moammar) Gadhafi - just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing before I say yes I agree, or no I didn't agree. I do not agree with the way he handled it for the following reason - nope, that's a different one....I got to go back and see, I've got all this stuff twirling around in my head."
Like sexual harassment charges?
Oops.
