Bobservations

We don’t use a lot of sugar at Casa Bob y Carlos … a wee bit in the tea pitcher, and maybe some when Carlos bakes, but that’s about it. I use Agave in my coffee each morning and we buy it at CostCo where you can get two jars cheaper than at the grocers.

Last week, we’d made plans to hit CostCo on Saturday, but then I ran out of Agave on Thursday and as the childish, er, child-like, one in the house I pitched a hissy. I grabbed the empty bottle and shouted:

“There’s no Agave! There’s no Agave!”

I tapped the table with the empty bottle repeating myself, and Carlos swiftly grabbed my hand and took the bottle:

“Stop acting like a child!”

He set the bottle on the table and I could see his mind working, knowing that it was still within my grasp, so he set it on the chair between us, and smiled.

Then I smiled. And lifted my foot and kicked the bottle onto the floor again because I am childish, er, child-like, and fun! Clearly Carlos had forgotten the Great Loaf of Bread Toss of 2019.

This Tuxedo [and MaxGoldberg] Memory is from March 2017 …

“Carlos dubs these photos as proof that Tuxedo and MaxGoldberg are homosexual cats. I think they just like to stay warm on cool mornings and Consuelo is not a snuggler.”

Not homosexuals, just two cats who loved each other very much.

Look, I know what they’re trying to say with this license plate, but it’s completely missing the mark and now a whole different crowd is following this car home.

Last week, in front of nearly 75 guests, two officials with Arizona’s attorney general’s office arrived at Rudy Giuliani’s 80th birthday bash in Palm Beach to hand him the papers in the case alleging he and 17 others participated in a plot to overturn the 2020 election.

Some partygoers started screaming and one woman even cried as Giuliani was served. And even #DrunkleRudy was unsure of what was happening and thought he was being given cocktail napkins.

Rumor has it … I adore Adele, but I digress … that the bigwigs at ABCNews are worried about their new reporter DeMarco Morgan, a gay man, and his Delightful Bulge on Morgan’s Instagram page.

Just a note … I don’t mind it at all and have written to ABC demanding that they let him do his reporting in his bike shorts … #PrecociousBulge.

Fox News’ Sean Hannity has a particular demand for how the upcoming CNN-hosted debate between President Biden and Hair Furor June should be handled:

Moderators shouldn’t be allowed to fact-check Hair Furor during answer blocks.

Hannity whines about the liberal media but what he’s really saying is that Hair Furor will lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and should go unchecked.

Well, Sean, if you want him to lie openly have him appear on your show every day because that’s all you do.

Back near the end of the 20th Century , when Sex and The City premiered the show was as much about the fashion as the characters and the sex and the city. But clearly times have changed and Grandma SJP doesn’t really rock the avant-garde wardrobe any longer … which may explain this outfit that looks like she has a pillowcase on her head.

And do not get me started on the dress or the shoes!

Rightwingnut Sebastian Gorka stopped a press conference outside Hair Furor’s hush money trial to tell a reporter it was “pathetic” to suggest Inmate # P01135809 is part of the “ruling class” or “elite.”

The man who calls himself a billionaire, who lives in a penthouse with a golden toilet and has his own plane is not one of the “elite”?

Bitch, please.

Eian Scully has been a top fashion model and fitness trainer, both in and out of his clothes, for several years now, but only now has he joined the pages of … Would You hit It?

Bobservations

As Carlos and I were watching the Gloden Globes last week, Michelle Williams was winning for Fosse/Verdon and came to the stage dressed in a sheet with dead bluebird perched on her shoulder. Carlos and I had this conversation; he said:
“What a hideous dress.”
“Says the man wearing croc slippers.”
 “But they’re—”
“Croc.Slippers.”
That’s all.
Trying to steer clear of the Iran mess, and of murdering a general on their soil, as well as deflecting from his impeachment, _____ tweeted about the stock market.

It could have been nothing, except that _____, the ALLEGED billionaire businessman,  referred to retirement accounts as “409K’S” instead of “401Ks.”

Wait, my household cleaner is also a retirement plan?
The Texas DMV has revoked a Fort Worth man’s vanity license plate—after first issuing it—because it read “Jail 45” because, they say, it’s a derogatory statement.

Jerry Balkenbush, owner of the plate says the Texas DMV approves about 1,000 vanity plates a week, but rarely takes them back. But, apparently, some wingnut in Texas saw the plate and complained, and so “Jail 45” was revoked.

Balkenbush, an Air Force veteran and teacher, was going to fight the decision in court, but backed down and got a new vanity plate.

I like it better.
GOP Congressman, and _____ lapdog, is getting a White House Cold Shoulder following his anti-_____ vote for the War Powers resolution this week.

But, big surprise, Gaetz didn’t just vote for the resolution, he pushed for other Republicans to do so.

The White House has, seriously, called the vote ‘super uncool’ and said White House officials would not be returning Gaetz’s phone calls, text messages, ‘smoke signals or his kneelings in the snow.’

It’s the Children’s Hour over there.
Sylvia Allen, a Republican … because of course … state senator from … wait for it, it’s a real place … Snowflake Arizona wants to prohibit any mention of the word “homosexuality” in the state’s public and charter schools.

Good try, Syl, you illiterate snowflaked asshat, but when there are gay people all over TV, and social media and public office and running for president and in every sport you’re gonna have a hard time keeping “homosexuality” on the down low.

Take a seat, moron.

Someone woke Sylvia up and told it was 2020 and she basically said:
“Never mind.”
Take a seat anyway, moron.
Democratic Senator Tim Kaine says he has enough votes to pass a resolution to limit _____’s ability to carry out a military attack against Iran without congressional authorization.

Kaine said GOP senators Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Susan Collins and Todd Young will support his measure.

Maybe the tide against _____ is turning and maybe, now, some Republicans will put this country over their party and their own self interests.

Maybe.
Sh’Rae Marshall.

He’s a fitness model and a medical student. Medical student? If he was my doctor, I’d be sick every single day.

BRB: I'm Headed To The DMV

What's this? In Indiana? The state's first specialty license plate that benefits LGBT causes is now available for purchase.
Oh, but it is. Bureau of Motor Vehicles [BMV] spokesman Graig Lubsen said the Indiana Youth Group plate has been available since last month; the plate bears a logo with hands in rainbow colors reaching up.Twenty-five dollars from the sale of each $40 plate goes to the group serving LGBTQ youth. The Indiana Youth Group operates an activity center, helps develop Gay Straight Alliances in high schools and assists communities in forming youth services; the group serves some 1,400 youths and young adults ages 12 to 21.
Youth Group director Mary Byrne says every nickel raised by the sale of these specialty plates "will go directly for services to these young people."
Indiana is only the second state in the nation with a specialty plate benefiting gay youths. Maryland was the first.
But it took a lawsuit to have the plate made available.
The Youth Group sued the state in 2010 after the BMV turned down its request for a specialty plate in 2008 and 2009, alleging the BMV used arbitrary and unconstitutional standards in deciding whether to approve plates for nonprofit groups. Both sides later reached an agreement and the lawsuit was dismissed. The Youth Group applied again and the plate was approved.
Makes me wanna pack up my bags and move to, of all places, Indiana, except........

Down here in South Carolina, we can now purchase an SC Equality license plate. Now, the license plate doesn't have a rainbow flag, or rainbow colors, or pink triangles, or RuPaul, on it, but it's an LGBT supportive plate.

It was created as a way of allowing residents of South Carolina to publicly display their support of community, culture and policy that encourages and advocates for equal treatment for all South Carolinians, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
And the license plates comes in 2012, which is the tenth anniversary of the founding of SC Equality. In effing South Carolina.
After hanging my head that a serial adulterer and racist wingnut won the GOP Primary, hearing this news allowed me to hold my head up again.
Way to go, SC! Way to go!
