I Didn't Say It ...

Sarah Sanders, White House Lap Dog, saying members of Congress aren’t “smart enough” to examine _____’s tax returns:

“I don’t think Congress—particularly not this group of congressmen and women—are smart enough to look through the thousands of pages that I would assume that President Trump’s taxes will be. My guess is most of them don’t do their own taxes, and I certainly don’t trust them to look through the decades of success that the president has and determine anything.”

Wait. Is huckleberry inferring that _____ does his own taxes?
Is she inferring that lawyers and businesspeople, and a good many members of Congress are lawyers and businesspeople, can’t read a tax return?
Oh Huck, you ignorant fool. I cannot wait for the book you’re going to write, and try to shill everywhere you can, about the horrors of this White House and how brave you were to stick around.
So, I’ll say now what I’d say to you then, ’Fuck off., co-conspirator.’
Ilhan Omar, Muslim Democratic Congressman, speaking at a March event for the Muslim civil rights organization Council on American-Islamic Relations [CAIR]:

“Far too long [Muslims] have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen, and frankly, I’m tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it … CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all [Muslims] were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”

Sounds pretty straight forward, but then _____ and his anti-Muslim and anti-women cohorts in the GOP began to attack Omar for the words ‘some people did something.’ ____ even co-opted the post-9/11 phrase ‘Never Forget’ as an attack on Omar.
Perhaps reading her entire quote was too hard for them?
Pete Buttigieg, an Afghanistan veteran, defending Omar:

“After 9/11 we all said we were changed. That we were stronger and more united. That’s what ‘never forget’ was about. Now, a president uses that dark day to incite his base against a member of Congress, as if for sport. As if we learned nothing that day about the workings of hate. That day, some people did this: killed thousands of Americans in order to try to make us smaller, more divided and less free. To weaken us by distancing us from our own values through fear and anger. This is the function of terrorism. I served overseas, at risk to my life, in the struggle against such terrorism. But it can only be fully defeated if we have leaders at home who defuse its capacity to sow hate—hate against Islam or against any number of ‘others.’ The president today made America smaller. It is not enough to condemn him; we must model something better.’”

This is how a human being responds.
This is how a president responds.
Kellyanne Conway, White House Cryptkeeper, saying a lot of Democrats don’t like these new upstarts in Congress, like AOC, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar:

“There’s a great deal of frustration among rank and file members who represent more moderate districts and frankly who represent districts that Donald Trump won in 2016. They’re very frustrated. They’ve been to the White House. They talk to people like me, quietly, saying they wish the radical freshman who get all the magazine covers and all the ink and airtime, [are causing] trouble in Pelosi paradise.”

Kellyanne Conway, who never met a fact she didn’t lie about, wants us to believe that democrats come to her to complain about their colleagues?
Kellyanne? What I said about Huck applies to you, too; especially the last bit.
Andrew Garfield, actor, on the anger in the LGBTQ community about straight actors taking LGBTQ roles:

“I understand the complaint. I think Tony Kushner put it best. He said, ‘It’s illegal for me to ask someone who they f**k in terms of hiring them for a job. That’s none of my business who someone sleeps with. The only question I have as the playwright is, are they right for this character?’ He said that if we only let people play who they are, then it’s the death of empathic imagination. I think that’s beautifully put, and I agree with it. [But] taking such a role means potentially taking it away from an LGBTQ person. The community has suffered so much oppression. As a straight, white male, with so much privilege in this world, I believe my job right now is to pay attention, to listen and to be an ally.”

I can see both sides now, though if more actors came out as gay, you wouldn’t have to ask who they f**k in order to decide if they get the role because you’d know the gay actor from the straight one.
Michael Elizabeth Pence, the cheerleader for the porn President, spinning _____’s enthusiastic reaction to WikiLeaks’ release of damaging material on Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential race was mot an endorsement of the organization:

“I think the president always, as you and the media do, always welcomes information. But that was in no way an endorsement of an organization that we now understand was involved in disseminating classified information by the United States of America.”

Oh Mike, you lying sack of excrement. Your boss, who will seal your political fate cited WikiLeaks 141 times at 56 events in the last month of the campaign.
God, even the one you supposedly believe in, doesn’t like lairs. She’s gonna be so mad you.

I Didn't Say It ....

Mo Brooks, a Republican Congressman from Alabama, because of course, on the cause of rising sea levels:

“Every time you have that soil or rock or whatever it is that is deposited into the seas, that forces the sea levels to rise, because now you have less space in those oceans, because the bottom is moving up.”

Brooks then said the California coastline and the White Cliffs of Dover tumble into the sea every year, and that contributes to sea-level rise.
Seriously; a grown-assed, ALLEGEDLY intelligent man, said this.
Damn those White Cliff of Dover for ruining our planet!
Rex Tillerson, former Secretary of State, fired by Tweet, the commencement address today at the Virginia Military Institute:

“If our leaders seek to conceal the truth, or we as people become accepting of alternative realities that are no long grounded in facts, then we as American citizens are on a pathway to relinquishing our freedom. A responsibility of every American citizen to each other is to preserve and protect our freedom by recognizing what truth is and is not, what a fact is and is not. Begin by holding ourselves accountable to truthfulness and demand our pursuit of America’s future be fact-based – not based on wishful thinking, not hoped-for outcomes made in shallow promises – but with a clear-eyed view of the facts as they are, and guided by the truth that will set us free to seek solutions to our most daunting challenges. When we as people, a free people, go wobbly on the truth, even on what may seem the most trivial of matters, we go wobbly on America.”

Huh. I wonder who he might be talking about.
Ryan Murphy, announcing that all profits from his new show on the 1980s New York ballroom scene, Pose, will be donated towards Transgender and LGBTQ communities:

“I am donating 100 percent of my profits from my new FX show POSE towards trans and LGBTQ charitable organizations. These groups do amazing work and need our support. Every day for the next 14 days I will highlight a group I’m supporting, and encourage you to do the same!”

Good for him. Hopefully the show is successful and lots of coins come forth!
Wilbur Ross, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, on the assertion by China, during trade talks, that American beef was tainted with mad cow disease:

“I pointed out to them that both the president and I eat quite a lot of American beef. And other than the fact that we’re in public office, there are no signs of mental instability as a result.”

Sorry, Wilbur, both you and the Fat Bastard are mad as hatters.
And dumb, too.
Andrew Garfield, starring in the Broadway revival of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America, on Miss Vanjie’s now iconic exit from RuPaul’s Drag Race:

“I was so disappointed to see Miss Vanjie go – as everyone was. And that exit is like one of the iconic moments…I believe…of Drag Race history… What the hell was that?  Were you taken over by a divine entity? It’s hypnotized the culture. She was channeling, there was something…Bruce Springsteen and Miss Vanjie, I feel changed by so far this year – maybe Miss Vanjie slightly more profoundly.”

Carlos and I cannot get enough of "Miss Vanjie ... Miss Vanjie ... Miss Vanjie."
We use it all the time!
Deadpool, crashing Stephen Colbert’s Late Show monologue:

“And President Trump spent the day complaining on Twitter about leaks inside the White House, because we all know Trump prefers his leaks inside of Russian hotel rooms. You get it, Stephen? Because the president watched two Russian prostitutes urinate on a hotel-room mattress?”

Listen to Deadpool.
Jason Statham, apologizing now for his tirade … if he said it:

“Someone approached me claiming to have a tape of me using terms offensive to the LGBTQ community during a conversation I had with my producing partner, on a movie set five years ago. I have never heard the recording and my multiple requests to hear the recording have been refused. I have no recollection of making any of these offensive comments. However, let me be clear, the terms referenced are highly offensive. If I said these words, it was wrong and I deeply apologize. Anyone who knows me knows it doesn’t reflect how I feel about the LGBTQ community. While I cannot fix what was said in the past, I can learn from it and do better in the future.”

This is what ALLEGEDLY said that day:

“Stop acting like a f***ing fag. I hate that faggity f***ing shit. Talking, whispering …you guys are acting like a bunch of f***ing faggots. If you want to tell me something don’t wait till I do 15 f***ing takes before you say something. Stop being a f**king fag and be more assertive…. I just hate that f***ing faggity behaviour f***ing faggity shit… f***ing fags, I just hate that s***.”

I wonder how someone can forget that kind of tirade.
But I hope that if Statham did say these things he’s learned that being a dick doesn’t pay.

I Didn't Say It ...

Adam Rippon, US Olympic figure skater, on how his life has changed since coming out and taking on Bigot Pence:

“Being here at the Olympics it does give me a louder voice. And I’ve got a big mouth and a loud voice. But it has given men a platform. I think it’s so important that I use this platform to my advantage. I think that me using my voice has given my skating a greater purpose. I’ve gotten so many messages from young kids all over the country that my story has resonated with them and it’s incredibly powerful…In the past week I’ve heard a lot of people like, ‘whoa, Adam Rippon should tone it down.’ I can’t tone it down. I’m being me. And I’m being myself. And I’d be doing myself an injustice, and I’d be doing an injustice to those kids who don’t feel like they’re comfortable to be themselves. I talked to you about how I felt before the Games. And you know, it’s brought a lot of attention and questions to my other teammates. I don’t want to distract from their Olympic experience and I don’t want my Olympic experience to be about Mike Pence.”

We don’t want anything to be about Mike Pence, but thanks for standing up nonetheless.
Antonio Sabato Jr., is running for Congress in California and playing the Obama is a Muslim card:

“No, what I was saying was he changed his name to ‘Obama’ because he followed the Islam religion when he was growing up. So I felt once you’re in that religion, you stay for the rest of your life.”

As Judge Judy says, beauty fades but dumb is forever…and now it’s running for Congress.
Joe Biden, suggesting _____ may be compromised by Russia and Putin:

“Look, you know, I want to give every American, including the president, the benefit of the doubt, but I can’t fathom any reason other than he is concerned of what Putin might say or do, or what information he may or may not have.”

Come on, Joe, take him on. Run!
Andrew Garfield, actor, one again saying he is heterosexual, but can see himself having sex with a man:

“Up until this point, I’ve only been sexually attracted to women. My stance toward life, though, is that I always try to surrender to the mystery of not being in charge. I think most people — we’re intrinsically trying to control our experience here, and manage it, and put walls around what we are and who we are. I want to know as much of the garden as possible before I pass — I have an openness to any impulses that may arise within me at any time. But, if I were to identify, I would identify as heterosexual, and being someone who identifies that way, and who’s taking on this seminal role, my scariest thought was, Am I allowed to do this?”

So, you’re straight but you might have sex with men, but you’ve never had sex with men and you’re straight and attracted to women?
Have I got that queer?
Siddown. You’re just posing.
Jennie Willoughby, ex-wife of former White House staff secretary and alleged abuser, Rob Porter, on _____’s skepticism that she was a victim of domestic abuse:

“In light of the President’s and the White House’s continued dismissal of me and Colbie, I want to assure you my truth has not been diminished. I own my story and now that I have been compelled to share it, I’m not willing to cover it up for anyone. And for any men, women, or children currently in situations of abuse, please know: It is real. You are not crazy. You are not alone. I believe you.”

Of course a sexual predator and abuser will always stand by another abuser.
It’s what they do. I believe the women.
Mick Mulvaney, _____lackey, defending the President-For-Now and his Tweet defending abuser Rob Porter:

“What I think you saw there was a couple of different things. That tweet we can be applied to a bunch of different people. When I saw the tweet, I noticed Rob Porter wasn’t mentioned. I had wondered if he was talking about his friend Steve Wynn who has been essentially condemned without due process. What you also saw that from the president is a certain sadness that somebody that he liked had let him down.”

So, it boils down to this:_____ has so many domestic abusers around him that Mulvaney wasn’t sure who he was talking about.
Gregg Popovich, San Antonio Spurs coach, on why it's important for the NBA to promote Black History Month:

"We live in a racist country… And it's always important to bring attention to it, even if it angers some people."

Plus, and get this clear, Black History is American History; it’s part of this country and to ignore or act like it’s for someone else is to diminish all history.
Jeff Sessions, our National Keebler Elf and Attorney General, might just be a white supremacist:

"I want to thank every sheriff in America. Since our founding, the independently elected sheriff has been the people's protector, who keeps law enforcement close to and accountable to people through the elected process. The office of sheriff is a critical part of the Anglo-American heritage of law enforcement."

Anglo: a white, English-speaking American as distinct from a Hispanic American.
Yup. And it turns out that using the phrase "Anglo-American heritage" seems to have been an impromptu decision by Sessions because a written version of his remarks didn’t contain that phrase, but used the words … “The sheriff is a critical part of our legal heritage" … instead.
Anderson Cooper, on the Fox News asshat John Moody’s assertion—that has since been deleted, that the motto of the Olympics, “Faster, Higher, Stronger”, might have been changed to “Darker, Gayer, Different”:

“First of all, darker, gayer, different is a terrible motto for the Olympics. It’s not a bad motto for a gay bar, I’ll give you that, but I’ll just assume those aren’t Mr. Moody’s favorite watering holes. Apparently Mr. Moody likes his Winter Olympics like he likes his orthodontia – straight, white, and all the same. [But] why is he clutching his pearls in fear and outrage over Team USA? Well it turns out that of over 244 athletes on the team, two of them had the courage to say openly and proudly that they’re gay. And as for the darker part of Mr. Moody’s Olympic fever dream? 10 [athletes]. Does this guy seriously have so little to do that he’s sitting around worrying that people who have no athletic ability get put on an Olympic team just because they’re gay or African American? And does it strike anyone else as hugely inappropriate that a guy who’s apparently high up at a news organization is upset about another organization striving for diversity? Moody’s comments might be funny if he was just a crank standing out on the street corner on Sixth Avenue outside Fox & Friends trying to get his sign on camera with a sign saying ‘darker, gayer, different’…but he is actually inside the building in a top position…I don’t know exactly what he does. It doesn’t sound like he does much – but as a gay man, if I was working under him, I sure would not feel all that welcome.”

It’s Fox News; stupid makes the news. Ignorance rules; bigotry and homophobia and asshattery are the norm.

I Didn't Say It ...

David Jolly, former Florida GOP Congressman, expressing his distaste for _____ and the GOP:

“Many of us are still looking for answers and looking for leadership within Republican Party. ... _____ is a man with hate in his heart, a small and weak man with a special type of cruelty to insult a woman on the world’s stage over her appearance. He owes Mika Brzezinski an apology, but he’s not going to do it. [And] I can’t overlook the fact that Donald _____ tonight is the face of the Republican Party. The party that once proudly boasted of Lincoln and Ike and [Teddy Roosevelt] and Reagan and the Bushes is now represented by a man who ... insults women and war heroes and immigrants and the disabled. And, as that is Donald _____, that is today’s Republican Party.”

Too bad Jolly isn’t in Congress now because it’d be nice to see at least one Republican stand up against everything _____ stands for.
Delbert Hosemann, Miscopy’s GOP Secretary of State, on _____ and Pence’s request for voter information:

"My reply would be: They can go jump in the Gulf of Mexico, and Mississippi is a great state to launch from. Mississippi residents should celebrate Independence Day and our state's right to protect the privacy of our citizens by conducting our own electoral processes."

Snap.
And from a Republican yet!
Tom Schedler, Louisiana’s GOP Secretary of State, to _____ and Pence:

"The President's Commission has quickly politicized its work by asking states for an incredible amount of voter data that I have, time and time again, refused to release. My response to the Commission is, you're not going to play politics with Louisiana's voter data, and if you are, then you can purchase the limited public information available by law, to any candidate running for office. That's it."

Again, everyone except those in the White House see this info grab for what it is: a way to suppress voters and steal yet another election.
Terry McAuliffe, Virginia’s Democratic Governor, to _____ and Pence:

“This entire commission is based on the specious and false notion that there was widespread voter fraud last November. At best this commission was set up as a pretext to validate Donald _____’s alternative election facts, and at worst is a tool to commit large-scale voter suppression."

It’s a vanity project to appease the bruised ego of the toddler in the White House and no matter how he spins it, he’ll still be the loser of the popular vote.
Andrew Garfield, on how he prepared to play a gay man and how he’s now a “gay man “without the physical act”:

“The preparation had begun before (rehearsals began) with a lot of my friends.  The play is as much devoted to my friends in the gay community as it is those that passed during the [AIDS] epidemic. My only time off during rehearsals—every Sunday I would have eight friends over and we would just watch Ru. I mean every single series of RuPaul’s Drag Race. I mean every series. This is my life outside of this play. I am a gay man right now just without the physical act—that’s all.”

Oh Andrew, I liked you, I did. But this kind of ridiculousness is impossible to forgive.
No one is gay because they watch drag queens; that doesn’t make you gay. And, news flash, tool, not every gay person likes drag queens.
To sort of lump us all into one category is disgusting, and then to suggest that you’re gay because you watch RuPaul—except you don’t have sex with men—is disrespectful and stupid and foolish and deserves an apology to the gay community because it's not a choice..
Then sit down.
Andrew Garfield, then instantly saying he isn’t gay, you know, lest anyone think so:

“As far as I know, I am not a gay man. Maybe I’ll have an awakening later in my life, which I’m sure will be wonderful and I’ll get to explore that part of the garden, but right now I’m secluded to my area, which is wonderful as well.”

Oh, so first you’re all ‘I like drag queens so I must be gay’ and then in the very next sentence you make sure to tell us that you’re straight?
Go fuck yourself ... and if you accomplish that it still won’t make you gay, just another asshat.
Trish Regan, host of Fox News’ Outnumbered, suggesting we murder Kim Jong Un of North Korea as a way to get rid of him:

“There’s one other option here that we haven’t talked about. I know you’re not supposed to go out ... and take out a leader because of international rules, decorum, et cetera, that we have. But if there is a way to get in and get rid of this crazy fat kid—then wouldn’t that do a lot in terms of saving a lot of lives here?”

Another Fox idiot, Jesse Watters, suggested the same thing because taking out a dictator worked out so well in Iraq.
Right?
Jeff Zucker, to the news people at CNN:

“My job is to remind everyone that they need to stay focused doing their job. _____’s trying to bully us, and we’re not going to let him intimidate us. You can’t lose your confidence and let that change the way you conduct yourselves.”

I say fight back harder, and not with childish little videos of fat rich men acting like bullies, but by digging into each and every aspect of that family of grifters, thieves and con artists, and the president, and revealing every vile thing they do.
That’ll teach ‘em, and we’ll all have fun watching.
