Ain't That America V

Well, what a week or so it's been in America … The Felon has launched a propaganda website …RFK Jr. once again proved himself mentally ill … The Felon admitted that tariffs will hurt Americans … Pam Bondi went full Nazi and stupid  … a Nebraska GOP asshat laid out plans to gut Medicaid while Lying Mike Johnson said there would be no cuts … DOGE is the Cybertruck of government agencies … The Felon’s first 100 days were golf and lies, and lies about golf …the GOP and planes don’t mix …Marco Rubio lived his parent’s dream of becoming an anti-immigrant fascist … the GOP clearly puts party over country, but … the Equality Act is up for a new vote … a wrongfully detained man was released .. Mark Carney and Canada .. pools show The Felon to be the worst … and impeachment charges were brought up …

The White House has launched its own Drudge Report-esque website—White House Wire—to spotlight positive news stories on The Felon.

Talk about your fake news.

Heroin addict and victim of a brain worm, Robert Kennedy Jr claims that the MMR, or Measles, vaccine contains a lot of aborted fetus debris and DNA particles.

No. Seriously.

The Felon acknowledged that toy shortages are possible as his tariff hikes ripple through the economy after the CEOs of Walmart, Target and Home Depot privately warned him about the likelihood of shortages and price spikes.

Huh. It’s almost as if he admits he’s a liar.

In the midst of The Felon’s major immigration crackdown and violent law enforcement techniques, Attorney General Barbie Pam Bondi boasted about her plans to kill American citizens:

“That’s keeping America safe. We’ve rescinded the death penalty. I’m signing death warrants.”

Bondi also claimed that “119 million lives have been saved” due to fentanyl seizures and the next day that number more than doubled to 258 million.

There are 340 million Americans so is she suggesting that anywhere from 35% to 75% of us are hooked on fentanyl or is she just another blithering lying fascist idiot.

Nebraska’s GOP Representative Don Bacon is drawing a red line on Medicaid cuts saying he won’t accept more than $500 billion in reductions to the program.

Just $500B.

On the other side, Hose Speaker Little Lying Mike Johnson, Nationalist Christian or Nat-C, says do not believe the lies the Democrat Party says about the GOP gutting Medicaid.

Even the GOP doesn’t have an effing clue as to what they’re ]doing.

DOGE promised $2 trillion in savings but now says it has saved the government just $160 billion but, in fact, the government has actually been spending more compared to this time last year as spending rose by $156 billion since The Felon took office.

Grifters, all of ‘em.

The Felon’s First 100 Days:

He promised to reduce the price of eggs and then egg prices reached record highs. He promised to bring everyday prices down but everyday prices have risen. He promised a booming economy but tanked the stock market. He promised to create jobs and then fired 100s of 1000s of government workers.

And then there was SignalGate, trade wars, Social Security benefits at risk, deported citizens, declassified the JFK files—but not the Epstein files, ended federal support for paper straws, ended production of the penny.

But the rich got their tax breaks so …

An F/-18E Super Hornet assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman was lost at sea during a towing incident in the hangar bay on Monday.

The plane cost $66 million.

What is it with this regime and airplanes?

In addition to El Salvador, The Felon’s regime is seeking other countries willing to accept illegally deported people from America and Marco Rubio, whose family escaped the fascist Castro regime in Cuba only to see their son join a fascist regime, says:

“We want to send you some of the most despicable human beings to your countries … the further away the better.”

He wants these Latino immigrants sent to Libya and Rwanda.

His family must be so proud.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul is open to renaming New York’s Penn Station after The Felon after his regime announced that the federal government would take over its redevelopment.

Stepping with the fascists, Kathy? Because you’ll re=name it after him and then he’ll pull funding.

That’s what grifters do.

House Republican leaders are moving to thwart Democratic efforts to probe DUI hired Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s controversial use of Signal, using their power to stop the minority party from forcing a vote that could embarrass The Felon.

Anything goes in the Party Over Country group as long as their gelatinous tub of lard doesn’t look bad.

As leaders in the House and Senate are set to reintroduce the Equality Act—historic federal legislation that would ensure comprehensive nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people everywhere—a coalition of civil rights organizations urgently calls for the legislation’s swift passage.

The bill’s reintroduction comes amidst a dangerous rise in anti-LGBTQ+ legislative and executive actions, including the erosion of nondiscrimination protections and weaponization of federal authorities against marginalized communities.

The nonpartisan Public Religion Research Institute found that national support for the Equality Act topped 75 %, including a majority of Republicans and Independents.

But fascists in power … the march goes on.

A federal judge dealt a blow to The Felon’s regime and ordered the release  of Columbia University student Mohsen Mahdawi, who was arrested at his U.S. citizenship appointment.

Now do Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

One thing to remember during The Felon’s first 100 days that he helped Mark Carney win the Canadian election.

I mean, he did that one thing right, eh?

A majority of Americans say The Felon is a “dangerous dictator” who poses a threat to democracy and believe he’s overstepped his authority by actions such as the mass firing of federal employees and the illegal deportations without due process.

Forty percent of Americans expressed favorable views.

Fifty-two percent expressed unfavorable views.

Forty percent still seems high.

Great Britain and the European Union are set to sign a formal declaration committing to “free and open trade” in defiance of The Felon’s tariff agenda.

A leaked draft seen by POLITICO promises a “new strategic partnership” between London and Brussels based on “maintaining global economic stability and our mutual commitment to free and open trade.”

The rest of the world will turn away from us thanks to the Bankruptcy King.

This week Democrat Congressman from Michigan, Shri Thanedar, introduced articles of impeachment against The Felon citing a sweeping abuse of power, flagrant violations of the Constitution, and acts of tyranny that undermine American democracy and threaten the rule of law.

Doubtful much will come of this right now, but the Cultists and Fox news are already playing the race card and wondering how someone named Shri Thanedar was elected to political office.

Those Bitches: GOP

It seems that House Republicans are passing around a “menu” of more than $5 trillion in cuts they could use to bankroll The Felon’s top priorities this year—not the price of eggs and not the price of gas—like tax cuts for Elon and Bezos and Zuckerberg and deporting 11 million immigrants.

So, what is the GOP going to cut to pay to keep the rich getting rich and the brown people over the border?

They want to make changes to Medicare and end the Biden administration climate programs, along with slashing welfare and “reimagining” the Affordable Care Act.

Yup; they are coming for your healthcare and welfare and climate change policies that make help as hurricanes get stronger, tornadoes become more common and droughts and winds spawn massive wildfires.

But it’s okay, right, if Elon can build another rocket to explode and Bezos can buy another yacht and Zuckerberg can have more money that most countries could spend in hundreds of years.

To be fair, with the extremely narrow margins the GOP has in the House and Senate these cuts to the ACA and any anti-hunger program would spark opposition from Democrats and also face some GOP resistance. House Speaker Mike Johnson can’t afford any Republican defections if he wants to pass a package on party lines.

Even proposed cuts to green energy tax credits, worth as much as $500 billion, could be tricky  as 18 House Republicans—14 of whom won reelection in November—warned Johnson against prematurely repealing some of the Inflation Reduction Act’s energy tax credits, which are funding multiple manufacturing projects in GOP districts.

So, it’s not a done deal, but keep in mind, These Bitches, AKA the GOP, will come for programs that benefits many Americans in order to satisfy a few billionaires and corporations.

Once Again The GOP Screws America In Order To Give A Tax Break To The Wealthy

What’s this you say? Voting along strict party lines, the GOP-controlled Senate voted to pass a sweeping budget measure that provides for massive tax giveaways to corporations and the super-rich while eliminating funding for social programs, education, and affordable housing; it also cuts Medicaid by $1 trillion—yes, trillion—and Medicare by $500 billion.

But hey, the GOP and the Lying-Hypocritical-Misogynistic-Racist-Homophobe-Pussy-Groper-In-Chief get to pander to their real base, the One Percent, while screwing their pretend base, the nation’s lowest income families.

The measure passed by 51-49 vote, with only one Republican, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, joining every single Democrat and both Senate Independents who voted against it.

To be fair, this budget resolution itself is nonbinding, but according to MoveOn.org's Ben Wikler, it represents the "starting gun for what might be the most consequential legislative fight of the Trump era: the looting of the U.S. treasury to reward billionaire GOP donors and mega-corporations, at the expense of the rest of us."

Remember that, those of you who voted for him when all those social programs you rely are gone; but hey, you got a pretty red ball out of the deal, didn’t you?

In the wake of its passage, Bernie Sanders called this proposal "Robin Hood in reverse" for taking from the poor to give to the rich. And Sanders was far from alone in his outrage.

Senator Jeff Merkley, a Democrat from Oregon, called the vote a "dark deed" and urged people nationwide to stand up and fight back against what the budget represents:
“Another dark deed done: GOP passes obscene budget to slash Medicare/Medicaid & explode the deficit – all in the name of tax cuts for the 1%."
And Merkley added:
It’s up to us—all of us—to fight back once again, defeat this destructive GOP tax plan, and stand up for working America. Time to get loud!”
And so, if you’re apt to ‘get loud,’ here is a list of your GOP Senators who are trying to fuck 99% of us, while kissing the ass of the 1%:

ISBL Asshat of the Week: Josh Miller

About eleven years ago Josh Miller was in a catastrophic car accident. Both he and his passenger were so drunk at the time that neither one of them could recall who was actually driving that night, but Miller broke his neck and was left paralyzed for life.

Luckily, for the uninsured Josh Miller, Medicare and Medicaid stepped in to pay the $1 million bill for his hospitalization and rehabilitation.

But this week, as the Arkansas legislature is debating continuing its privatized Medicaid expansion under Obamacare, Josh Miller, now an Arkansas State Representative, and Republican, of course, declared his opposition to Medicaid expansion.

What was good for the goose ain’t apparently so good for the gander.

To make matters worse, it has been reported that Miller still receives ongoing coverage through the government programs, including Medicaid-covered personal care assistance. Funny, no, that someone who has reaped the benefits of insurance paid for by the government would work against expanding those same benefits to others?

But its typical GOP goose-stepping; when Miller needed help, and it was offered, he took it, but if, say today, another young kid, uninsured and drunk off his ass, wrecks his car and ends up paralyzed, josh Miller thinks he should pay his own medical bills.

When asked about his apparent contradiction, Miller said the difference between young and drunk and stupid Josh Miller and everyone else,  is that some of the 100,000 people who have gained coverage through Arkansas's Medicaid expansion don't work hard enough or just want access to the program so they can purchase and abuse prescription drugs.

So, he’s going to punish everyone because of the actions of some.

I wonder how he might have felt, lying in that hospital bed all those years ago, hearing he would be in a wheelchair for life, with a one million dollar hospital bill hanging over his head, if some Arkansas asshat politician had said to him, Well, it’s your own damned fault you were so drunk, and your friend was so drunk. Pay your own way.

Josh Miller ISBL Asshat of the Week.

That's Our Nikki: She Doesn’t Care About The Poor, The Elderly and The Disabled

Nikki Haley so wants to be like Mitt that she has made it clear that she will not expand Medicaid, thereby punishing the poor, the elderly and the disabled of South Carolina.
She says: “South Carolina will NOT expand Medicaid, or participate in any health exchanges. We will not support Pres. Obama’s tax increase or job killing agenda. I WILL do everything I can to get Mitt Romney elected and work to strengthen our Senate so that we can repeal this unAmerican policy aimed at moving our country in the wrong direction.”
So, Haley, like a good GOP lapdog, wants to snub President Obama. That's nothing new; Nikki is one of the lead Goosesteppers in The Party Of No, but the people of South Carolina, especially the poor, elderly and disabled, ought to know what she means by that.
By not expanding Medicaid, some people will be left to die.
According to a new study published in the New England Journal of medicine, residents of states that expand coverage will probably live longer, be healthier and have better access to medical care:
'Medicaid expansions were associated with a significant reduction in adjusted all-cause mortality....Mortality reductions were greatest among older adults, nonwhites, and residents of poorer counties. Expansions increased Medicaid coverage....decreased rates of uninsurance....decreased rates of delayed care because of costs....and increased rates of self-reported health status of “excellent” or “very good”.'
So, you go, Nikki. Get Romney elected and let the people of South Carolina suffer, and perhaps, die for it.
How transparent can you get?
