The other day Carlos asked me to find a piece of music for him on the computer so he could buy it and play it on his trumpet. Well, we searched and searched and couldn’t find exactly what he was looking for and then he suggested we could try a music store where he has gotten oil for his trumpet. But then he remembered another music store he goes to and asked me if we could go there. I asked where that one was and he said:

“It’s by that restaurant where we eat.”

“That restaurant? We only eat at one restaurant?”

“You know the one. By that deli we like.”

When I told him I had no idea what he was talking about he asked me to look for it on Google. I searched and searched for “music store by that restaurant we like by the deli” and couldn’t find it.

An all-male panel of anti-abortion religious leaders from around the country have met at an event hosted by Operation Save America—an anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ and anti-Muslim group—that wants Americans to follow “God’s law” and their interpretation of the Christian gospel. So, they decided that a woman who chooses abortion should be put to death.

They say they’re pro-life but don’t see the hypocrisy.

Elon Musk’s has rebranded Twitter as X because he thinks it’ll turn the site profitable again, when the reason it loses money is not because of the name but because of the asshat owner.

Remember Senator Tommy Tuberville saying White Nationalists aren’t racists? Well, because he’s an ignorant twazcock, people began digging into his past and found that the stories Tommy tells about his father’s military service aren’t exactly truthful.

Tuberville claims that his daddy, Charles Tuberville Jr., lied about his age to join the army, that he was a tank commander, that he earned five Bronze Stars, and that he participated in the D-Day landing. But, an examination of army histories, newspaper reports and other materials show that Big Daddy Tuberville joined the army at 18, never got any Bronze Stars, and was never a tank commander but he might have been there on D-Day.

Let’s see, Republican who thinks White Nationalists aren’t racists is also a liar. Yeah, business as usual.

Pantene: Shampoo For Trans Kids & Their Lesbian Moms ... According to OMM

Monica Cole, leader of the Hate Group One Million Moms—which has just 93,000 Facebook followers so math is obviously not their strong suit—is coming for Pantene, and Procter and Gamble:

“Pantene just released an online commercial that has resulted in backlash from Christians and non-Christians alike. Sawyer, a transgender girl, and Sawyer’s two moms are featured in the latest Pantene ad, which glamorizes the LGBTQ lifestyle.”

Wait. Shampoo is glamorous? I’m clearly doing it wrong, but I digress …

“Just be yourself and don’t let anybody tell you who you are” is one of the extremely misleading taglines from the new Pantene ad. A feel-good nod to those who falsely believe gender can be chosen, the tagline sadly goes against the biblical truth that God created us and decided who we were before forming us in our mothers’ wombs.”

And stop. Any educated person, clearly not Monica Cole, knows that trans people don’t ‘choose’ their gender; their choose to live life in accordance with their gender identity, but I digress again …

“The commercial is narrated almost entirely by one mom as the other mom quietly sits beside her, with a few added lines from Sawyer. But do not be deceived. Notice some of the misleading wording used within the ad to normalize the LGBTQ lifestyle.

Procter & Gamble, Pantene’s parent company, also owns several other lines of products that conservatives should avoid purchasing and supporting.

This ad is not the first time P&G has pushed the LGBTQ agenda in their commercials.

In fact, 1Million Moms has launched campaigns and voiced our concern in the past regarding P&G’s transgender Gillette ad for Father’s Day, as well as their lesbian Head & Shoulders ad for prom.”

Trans Gillette and Lesbian Head & Shoulders? Where do I buy those products, cuz I just thought it was razors and shaving cream and shampoo for all people, but, again, digress …

“We wanted to let you know that, once again, P&G has decided to cater to homosexuals and their sinful lifestyle choice.”

Huh. I thought P&G catered to anybody who wants to buy their products. I didn’t get the memo about the Gays Only P&G.

One Million 93,000 Moms wants y’all to buy store brands because no store brand is LGBTQ+-friendly or supports liberal causes, right?

Again, I thought it was just shampoo.

Kansas GOP "Invalidates" Existence of Trans People

Last week, the Kansas Republican Party approved a resolution that opposes “all efforts to validate transgender identity.”

Trans people simply do not exist, I guess, in Kansas, at least in the minds of Republicans.

Now, to be fair, the Kansas GOP’s new Hate Resolution stated that the party “recognizes the dignity of every human being, including those who identify as LGBT,” but affirmed “God's design for gender as determined by biological sex and not by self-perception” and opposed “all efforts to validate transgender identity.”

You know, God says so, though I missed the part in the Bible where God looked at a trans person and was like, “Oh hell no. I didn’t approve that.”

And, of course, the GOP in Kansas aligned itself with one of those oxy-moronically named groups, the Family Policy Alliance of Kansas, who backed the resolution out of, what the groups asshat, er, president, no asshat, Eric Teetsel, right, said was “motivated by love”,

Love, in the minds of people like Republicans in Kansas and people like bigot and transphobe Eric Teetsel, means that you can just say, “Sorry, trans people, I don’t see you.”

Look, asshats, trans Americans are not unicorns or leprechauns; they actually exist. And just because you choose to pass a resolution stating that you’re burying your head in the sand, won’t change that.

Trans Americans deserve all the same rights and respect as anyone, and if you think God hates trans people, you don’t know God.

The Daily Hypocrite: Marco Rubio

Remember when Marco Rubio was running for President and said that even if he didn’t get the nod, he was through with the Senate and would not seek reelection?

I didn’t believe him then, and he proved himself a hypocrite when, shortly after the shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, he strode back into the spotlight to say the murders of nearly fifty LGBT Americans “deeply impacted” him, and so he would run for the Senate again.

I think it had to do with the fact that he was out of a job and out of the spotlight, but let’s say he was moved by the terror attack in Orlando. I mean he said it, right:

 “I’ve been deeply impacted by it and I think when it visits your home states, when it impacts a community you know well, it really gives you pause, to think a little bit about your service to your country and where you can be most useful to your country.”

Oh, isn’t that nice … except now, shortly after announcing his bid for reelection, Rubio has announced he’ll be speaking at an event called “Rediscovering God in America Renewal Project.” It’s a conference hosted by the virulently anti-LGBTQ group, the Liberty Counsel —a certified Hate Group according to the Southern Poverty Law Center — which supports every single bit of anti-LGBTQ legislation, or anti-LGBTQ politician, in the country.

Yes, while Marco was so moved by the murders of gay folks that he sparked up his once-dead Senatorial campaign, he is not so deeply impacted by those deaths to stop speaking at anti-LGBTQ events … alongside other speakers like, Liberty Counsel president, Mat Staver, who kissed Kim Davis’ bunghole while representing her in court, when she was arrested for resisting marriage equality in Kentucky; and David Barton, who claims HIV/AIDS is God's punishment, and suggests government should “regulate” homosexuality; and Bob McEwen, a former congressman who works as a lobbyist for the Pro-Family Legislative Network.

So, is this change of heart, from being so moved by the attack at Pulse to speaking at an anti-LGBTQ event, really so new for Rubio?

Not so much; he remains opposed to marriage equality, wanting the states to legislate marriage; he has called homosexuality a sin, though he also says he does not “pass judgment on people"; he has cosponsored legislation to allow government employees and business owners to refuse to recognize same-sex marriages for religious reasons with no penalty.

It seems Marco Rubio is the very epitome of hypocrisy. He is moved by an anti-gay Hate Crime, but speaks at anti-gay hate Summits; he says Donald [t]Rump is a lunatic, but then supports him. Oh, yeah, he does; even though, during his failed attempt to be the GOP nominee, he called [t]Rump a “lunatic” who should not be trusted with nuclear codes, he now vows to support the “lunatic” and do whatever is "helpful to the cause” to help elect Trump.

And he’s lying about all of it; he says the Hate Summit he’ll be a featured speaker at is … well, let him explain it:

“The event I will be speaking at in Orlando is a gathering of local pastors and faith leaders. Leave it to the media and liberal activists to label a gathering of faith leaders as an anti-LGBT event. It is nothing of the sort. It is a celebration of faith.”

The faith he and those others will be celebrating is the faith that people like Marco Rubio will stay in office and continue to work to deny LGBTQ Americans their civil rights.

And that’s why Marco Rubio is The Daily Hypocrite ... standing atop the dead bodies of dead LGBT Americans to say he will run for office again and then speaking in front of a group of bigots, haters and homophobes.

An Eleven-Year-Old Schools One Million Moms Seventy-Four Thousand Moms

So, One Million Moms — actually, it’s more Seventy-Four-Thousand Moms — recently launched another one of their boycott campaigns against American Girl, a company that makes dolls and publishes a magazine for children—because an ad by the company featured … :::gasp::: … a married same-sex couple, Rob and Reece Scheer, who are raising four foster care children, including adopted daughter Amaya:

"One Million Moms Seventy-Four-Thousand Moms is extremely disappointed that American Girl, owned by Mattel, is promoting sin in the November/December 2015 issue of its magazine."

The sin is that a legally married same-sex couple is raising children, and so this rag-tag band of, probably not mothers but, bored Christian Loons pointed their followers to an article titled 'Forever Family' about adoption from foster care; and that’s a bad thing because the4 article included a large picture of a girl with her two dads, and their three other adopted children.

One Million Moms Seventy-Four-Thousand Moms then asked their followers to contact American Girl and tell them that as long as they are "pushing the homosexual agenda to children, your family will no longer be able to support the company, its magazine, or purchase its products."

Boo hoo. I could go on about hate, or about the need for people to adopt or foster children, and the way some of the Christian right chooses to ignore, and sometimes punish, those children, but, you know, sometimes there are others who say what I want to say, and say it better.

Amaya and her two dads, Rob and Reece, appeared on Fox’s ‘Good Day DC’ this week and Rob said that when he heard about the One Million Moms' Seventy-Four-Thousand Moms’ campaign against his family and American Girl, he was "shocked."

"These were moms! These were moms that were saying that my family was wrong, that the love that my husband and I are giving our four kids and what we’re doing was wrong. I would expect moms not to say these types of things about our family." — Rob Scheer

Rob then noted that, rather than urge boycotts against doll companies, and soup companies and cereal companies maybe these “moms” try and help the “364,000 kids in foster care."

And then Amaya, my new hero and idol, was asked what she had say to One Million Moms Seventy-Four-Thousand Moms and she said it better than her dad, and better than I ever could:

"This is none of your business."

School Board Member Julie Williams Needs An Education

Julie Williams is a member of the Jefferson County school board out there in Colorado, but clearly this child needs a little educating herself.

Last week, Julie Williams posted to her Facebook wall a link to an article from Save California that, ahem, encouraged families to keep their students home from school last Friday — the National Day of Silence which supports LGBT students in schools — and “away from perverse indoctrination” of the “homosexual-bisexual-transsexual agenda.”

Lovely for a school board member to post, but what is remarkably idiotic about Julie Williams is her reasoning for the post link, which she subsequently took down; she says she was unfamiliar with the group and was “rattled” after learning it was recognized as a hate group:

“To be honest with you, I didn’t read the article. I just saw it and thought I was sharing information with parents.”

A school board member who doesn’t bother to read a piece of information before she shares it? How is that possible that she has anything to do with education?  Julie? Hon? Maybe next time you should read what you post before you post it or share it; better yet, why don’t you stay off social media until you learn to read period, m’kay?

Still, we learn more about Julie Williams the more she talks about what she didn’t read, didn’t know, but shared on Facebook anyway: when contacted by Chalkbeat she says she does not support the statements in the Save California newsletter but:

“I believe in choice — who you are and want to be and what you want to do.”

Um, Julie? Might I suggest further reading before you speak, because homosexuality, like heterosexuality, is not a choice.

Luckily, the Superintendent of Jeffco Public Schools, Dan McMinimee clarified the district’s position on Save California and the National Day of Silence:

“As Jeffco Schools always strives to foster an environment that encourages students to feel safe, to learn, and to thrive, we respect students’ rights to participate in Day of Silence, a student-led effort, and to express themselves as they prefer. We celebrate freedom from bullying.”

Maybe they could teach that to Julie Williams?

The Height of Stupidity: Gay People Posting Photos Of Gay People On Facebook Is Christian Persecution

Okay, so we all know that Tony Perkins, the wingnutted, asshatted, goose-stepping president of the anti-LGBT hate group the Family Research Council [FRC] is a loon, right?

Well, last week on his little radio hatefest he tried to calm down an irate caller who had seen a photo of "two naked guys sitting on each other" on Facebook., Now, rather than simply clicking the ‘Hide’ feature, or simply deciding to unfriend, or unfollow, the person responsible for The Gay Photo, the caller told Perkins he reported the photo to Facebook "in a nice, respectful Christian way."

Of course, Tony Perkins responded with:

"Jesus said that we are to pray for our enemies, for those who persecute us, that would be those who mock and ridicule us, absolutely we should pray for them. … This is being shoved into people’s faces, and if, like you, they say, I don’t want this on my Facebook page, I don’t want this, I don’t want to see this, look, do whatever you want to do but don’t involve me in that – that’s not good enough, there’s this effort of forced acceptance and affirmation, and we just can’t do that."

See, putting a photo on Facebook of a gay couple, or just a gay person, is Christian persecution. My wedding picture with Carlos is persecuting the Christians. Any gay person’s new photo is an attack on religion if posted to Facebook.

Perkins went on to call the posting of ‘gay pictures’ — though he never did detail exactly what a ‘gay picture’ was — as a "lack of tolerance" from gay people though he has no problem with Bible thumpers putting their Jesus pictures everywhere. I find it the height of stupidity that Tony Perkins says posting a picture on Facebook is persecution of Christians, when Perkins has said, of The Gays:

“They are intolerant. They are hateful. They are vile. They are spiteful”

He also said that LGBT activists are going to "start rolling out the boxcars" and carting away Christians a la the Holocaust.

He’s said that pedophilia is “a homosexual problem” and has used the FRC to distribute a pamphlet that claims gay men are more likely to molest children.

Funny, that he calls The Gays murderers and pedophiles, and even like the Nazis, but it's The Gays that are doing all the persecuting because we put our pictures on Facebook.

Sit down Tony. And stop looking at ‘gay’ pictures on Facebook. There are whole websites devoted to that and, besides, everyone knows that Facebook is for Cat Videos and pictures of what you had for dinner last night and vaguely passive-aggressive status updates.

Sit down, and be quiet.

#13 Senator Marco Rubio

Why him? Well, Rubio, a GOP darling, helped broker a deal in the Senate on comprehensive immigration reform while at the same time threatening to toss the same piece of legislation out if Democrats added help for same-sex couples who were being split up by outdated immigration rules:

"If this bill has in it something that gives gay couples immigration rights and so forth, it kills the bill, I’m gone; I'm off it, and I've said that repeatedly."

Rubio has also been accused of dropping his support for the nomination of William Thomas for a federal judgeship because Thomas is gay, and he was the keynote speaker for the Florida Family Policy Council’s annual fundraiser. Not only does the FPC support gay “conversion” therapy, the event honored one of the chief architects of the legal fight against the new bans on reparative therapies.

#12 Antonin Scalia

Justice Scalia has taken his homophobia on a speaking tour, arguing that judges shouldn't make decisions on what he sees as moral issues, not constitutional ones. Plus, he continuously claims that he hasn’t expressed his “expressed my view about gay marriage" though in his dissent in the Supreme Court's Defense of Marriage Act case, he said:

“As I have observed before, the Constitution does not forbid the government to enforce traditional moral and sexual norms. It is enough to say that the Constitution neither requires nor forbids our society to approve of same-sex marriage, much as it neither requires nor forbids us to approve of no-fault divorce, polygamy, or the consumption of alcohol."

Scalia seems aware of his role in trying to stop adoption of equal rights for LGBT Americans, but he doesn't care: 

"Maybe the world is spinning toward a wider acceptance of homosexual rights, and here’s Scalia, standing athwart it. At least standing athwart it as a constitutional entitlement. But I have never been custodian of my legacy. When I’m dead and gone, I’ll either be sublimely happy or terribly unhappy." 

I’m betting on unhappy.

#11 Louie Gohmert

Gohmert is a prime contender for the title of most homophobic member of Congress, and the Texas Republican is certainly one of the most outrageous and illogical. 

In his anti-gay rants this year, he linked marriage equality to bestiality and polygamy; he linked gay Boy Scouts to pedophilia; he linked hate-crimes laws to the end of religious freedom. And for good measure — of his insanity — he tossed gun control and evolution into the mix as well.

In one of his choice comments, he said that limiting the amount of ammunition a gun owner can buy is “kind of like marriage when you say it’s not a man and a woman anymore, then why not have three men and one woman, or four women and one man, or why not somebody has a love for an animal?”

Later he rhetorically asked believers in evolution, “How does the mating of two males evolve the species upwards?" 

#10 Scott Lively

Lively, a Massachusetts “minister” has exported homophobia around the world. 

He’s facing a trial for fueling anti-gay hate crimes in Uganda, and he’s spoken proudly of helping to inspire Russia’s “gay propaganda” law and continues to blame the anti-gay violence on The Gays:

“The ones that are doing it are butch homosexuals who are beating up effeminate homosexuals.”

He says the United States is moving toward “totalitarianism with a heavy gay emphasis,” and added that it won’t be the first civilization brought down by the gays: he has actually blamed The Great food in the Bible on same-sex marriage:

“We need to remember that in the time leading up to the flood what the rabbis teach about the last straw for God before he brought the flood was when they started writing wedding songs to homosexual marriage.”

Lively is currently running for Massachusetts governor as an independent.

#9 Bryan Fischer

Fischer is a radio personality and spokesman for the American Family Association, dubbed a "hate group" by the Southern Poverty Law Center for its consistent spreading of misinformation about LGBT people.

During this year alone, Fischer said striking down a portion of DOMA was worse than Trayvon Martin's death, praised India's courts for recriminalizing homosexuality and called for laws against sodomy to be reinstated in the United States, called Mary Cheney a "lesbian bigot" for standing up for her marriage, claimed that if Hillary Clinton wins in 2016 she would become the "first lesbian president," implied that gay Boy Scout leaders would try to molest the troops.

And he says all of that while saying — with an apparent straight face — because he has a deep concern for LGBT people.

"There's a sickness there, there's a pathology associated with homosexual behavior. You know these are not happy people. They are not well-adjusted people. It just breaks your heart to see what this perverted sense of homosexuality is doing to them. It's just destroying their humanity."

#8 Orson Scott Card

When his book Ender's Game was transformed into a Hollywood movie, Card could have helped protect the potential blockbuster from a threatened boycott by renouncing his antigay past, but he stayed silent.

No amount of money or risk to the livelihoods of others could persuade him to reconsider his belief that people are made gay through a disturbing seduction or rape or molestation or abuse. He's not going to stop believing that "regardless of law, marriage has only one definition, and any government that attempts to change it is my mortal enemy."

It came as no surprise that the film bombed even though its backers went out of their way to ensure that Card wouldn't make a cent from the film.

#7 Pat Robertson

If we gave out an award for the single worst thing anyone said all year, Robertson would get it though it would be hard to pick which of his comments was 2013's most offensive.

There was his conspiracy theory about gay death rings; Robertson suggested that men in San Francisco wear very sharp rings that could cut you during a handshake and spread HIV.

He advised one 700 Club viewer to never "like" a social-media photo of a gay couple kissing because it would equate to condoning their relationship: "To me, I would punch 'Vomit,' not 'Like,' but they don't give you that option on Facebook."

He advised a parent whose son came out to investigate his sports coaches in case the son had been molested.

He told a viewer whose nephew had come out that he may have been molested, and the best fix is to show him the Bible.

He advised a woman to be wary of letting her children meet a lesbian friend of hers, as "you don’t want your children to grow up as lesbians."

Robertson denied he's antigay and said that he actually has "thousands" of gay fans who watch his show looking "to have a better way."

#6 Timothy Dolan

The Roman Catholic Church doesn’t have antigay doctrine; it just has a public relations problem, says Dolan, the archbishop of New York.

“I think maybe we’ve been outmarketed sometimes. We’ve been caricatured as being antigay.”

And not just because Dolan was a prominent opponent of New York State’s marriage equality law, and that he thinks “redefinition” of marriage is akin to totalitarianism and will lead us on the slippery slope to polygamy.

Dolan has also downplayed Pope Francis’s conciliatory remarks regarding LGBT people and emphasized that the church still considers “homosexual acts” to be sinful.

#5 Frigide Barjot

As France debated whether to legalize same-sex marriage and allow couples to adopt, comedian Frigide Barjot — the stage name for Virginie Tellenne — was often leading the massive protest rallies in opposition.

After France eventually passed the law, Barjot condemned the violence that erupted while also defending it with a well-what-did-you-expect-would-happen attitude. Those comments came after a pro-gay activist was left brain-dead in June by a beating from extremists.

"This extreme fight is the result of a power that for nine months has refused to listen to the French people. The president has caused extremism to grow by passing a law that the French didn't want, and in a manner that was authoritarian and undemocratic. When we refuse to act like a democracy, extremism grows. In a way, you could say that there was a death because of this denial of democracy."

Proving she’s just a media whore seeking attention, after marriage equality passed, she asked for police protection from the very anti-gay groups for whom she once spoke.

#4 Pacific Justice Institute

This California-based right-wing "Christian" organization came out swinging this year with a bevy of transphobic attacks.

In an effort to undermine California's recently passed Student Success and Opportunity Act, which guarantees trans students access to the facilities and sports teams that correspond with their gender identity, the Pacific Justice Institute targeted a transgender 16-year-old in Colorado, claiming she was "harassing" other female students in the bathroom.

When the school district and police confirmed that no such harassment took place, the institute amended its claim to contend that the mere presence of a transgender student in the bathroom constituted harassment.

The institute is a key player in the Privacy for All Students campaign, which aims to repeal California's trans student law. Privacy for All Students is trying to repeal that law through a voter referendum — though analysis of the signatures gathered for the initiative makes it not exactly promising that the initiative will qualify for the ballot. 

#3 Dictator Robert Mugabe

Mugabe is no stranger to this list; in 2012 he was named to the “45 Biggest Homophobes of Our 45 Years" list.

Mugabe's done everything from calling gays "worse than pigs and dogs" in 1995 to locking up a member of parliament in 2011 for publicly.

 In 2013, Putin signed a law banning any foreigner from adopting a Russian child if they come from a country supportive of marriage equality; the standard is so strict that only Italy is narrow-minded enough to meet the qualifications.

Putin famously signed the so-called gay propaganda ban this year, a law so vague that Olympians could be fined or jailed for kissing their partners. Putin told the International Olympic Committee that he will do "everything" to ensure guests are "comfortable" in Sochi, but he's banned protests of any kind there while the games go on.

This is the sort of thing that Pride parades were invented to combat, but in Moscow we are in year one of a 100-year ban on those, thans to a law passed in 2012.

The Russian parliament is on the verge of considering yet another anti-gay law that would order children with gay or lesbian parents to be taken from their homes.
