It appears that the massive crowds expected at Melanie: From Whore House to White House never appeared. It its third weekend it suffered a 62% drop in attendance and puts the “film” on a path toward grossing $15.4 million in total, nowhere near the $40 million that Jeff Bezos’ Amazon spent to acquire it and an additional $35 million to promote it.

Amazon MGM swears that Melanie: From Whore House to White House will muster strong numbers on streaming to make up for its poor box office showing but they have no plans for a release date as yet.

By now, you’ve all heard about the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie from her home in Arizona. Sad; I wouldn’t wish it on anyone and I hope they find her alive and everything ends well.

And because she’s white. It isn’t lost on me, nor should it be on anyone, that when a women of color goers missing, you barely get a blurb on the news before it moves to the back page.

If it’s a trans woman you get almost zero news reporting, and the same goes for missing or murdered  indigenous women.

I wish the media would treat all missing persons stories the same and not continually give precedence to white women and young white girls, while ignoring any and every other woman that is taken.

Anderson Cooper is leaving 60 Minutes after turning down an offer from CBS News—formerly the Columbia Broadcasting System but now called Complete Bull Shit—to renew his contract. Cooper, a longtime Husband-In-My-Head, has been a correspondent with 60 Minutes for nearly two decades and was reportedly on Complete Bull Shit News MAGAt-editor-in-chief Bari Weiss’ short list to anchor the Complete Bull Shit Evening News, but he not only rebuffed Weiss’ attempts to recruit him, but he also walked away from 60 Minutes.

Orlando is about to take a long-anticipated step at demolishing the former Pulse nightclub to make way for a permanent memorial honoring the 49 people killed there in 2016.

Sources, and that may be Lori’s prison bitch  who carries her tray in the dining hall and makes her bed every day, says the self-entitled, cheater mom is a “wreck. I don’t know why; she was  originally set to do time at Victorville Federal Correctional, where she could have done Pilates and Origami, but was instead sent to the Dublin, California prison,  a much lower-security cushy prison, because they had “lower COVID-19 numbers.”

Again, the rich get a better hand.

Lori was hoping to be out by Christmas but should have learned to count because a two-month jail sentence that starts October 30 ends December 30 … after Christmas.

Oh, dear goddess, this Mo’Nique vs. Oprah feud is still going on, only now it may have really jumped the shark. It seems Mo’Nique went after Oprah for putting Breonna Taylor on the cover of O magazine, after decades of only Oprah—and the occasional friend—gracing the cover. So Mo’Nique opened her cake-hole to say that O only put Breonna on the cover because she’s a murder victim, and because Oprah is a murderer who … wait for it … it’s a reach … but not for Mo’Nique … killed Mo’Nique’s career:

“A sister that was murdered and Oprah Winfrey took a stand and said ‘we gotta get justice' [but she] took part in murdering my career.”

A brief history of the Mo’Nique-Oprah feud? It started in 2010 when Oprah had Mo’Nique’s estranged parents and brothers—one of whom molested Mo’Nique—on her show. Mo’Nique saw this as a betrayal and told Oprah she was hurt and O gave the standard faux-pology, “If you think I did something wrong, then I apologize." But then Mo'’Nique accused Oprah of helping Lee Daniels blackball her for not playing the Hollywood game. And Mo’Nique called her out for condemning Harvey Weinstein but giving alleged sexual assaulters like Michael Jackson and Russell Simmons a break because of their race. But Oprah’s standard reply is that she remains silent to rise above Mo’Nique’s “negative energy.”

Seriously, what a bitch response. Now y’all know there’s no love lost between Oprah and me, but even this is a step too far. Mo’Nique doesn’t need a ‘come to Jesus moment;’ as much as she needs a come to your sense’s moment.

There’s some more drama going on around Hillsong Church, the church popular with Justin Bieber and Chris Pratt, only this time it isn’t because of the church’s ALLEGEDLY anti-gay sentiments, but because the pastor of the church, and The Biebs homie, Carl Lentz ALLEGEDLY stuck his dick into someone other than his wife. The church claims Lentz suffered a “moral failure” and has been let go from the church.

Founder of Hillsong, Brian Houston, announced Carl’s firing in a statement:

“Today Hillsong Church East Coast advised our congregation that we have terminated the employment of Pastor Carl Lentz. This action was not taken lightly and was done in the best interests of everyone, including Pastor Carl. [This comes after] ongoing discussions in relation to leadership issues and breaches of trust, plus a recent revelation of moral failures.”

Houston said it would “not be appropriate” to detail what led to Carl getting the boot but I can: Carl was ALLEGEDLY fired for being pro-BLM and “soft” on both abortion and LGBTQIA issues, though there are those who will gossip and say it was more alcohol and drug-related issues or Lentz has a porn addiction and cheated on his wife.

On Thursday night, _____ delivered a speech in which he claimed that the election was being stolen from him. Cable news networks swiftly denounced the president’s lies, with MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS all cutting away from the press conference while it was still in progress, and even Fox News, which continued to carry the briefing, said there was no evidence of fraud. CNN anchors Jake Tapper called _____ “pathetic” while Dana Bash called him “dangerous” and “nonsensical,” but it was Anderson Cooper who said:

“That is the president of the United States. That is the most powerful person in the world. We see him like an obese turtle on his back flailing in the hot sun, realizing his time is over.”

California, Hawaii, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma and Texas on Tuesday shattered their previous daily record highs for new cases. The biggest jumps occurred in Texas and California, the two largest U.S. states, with more than 10,000 each. [But] the man whose every decision is based on what will get him reelected, what will energize his base and appeal to people’s most primal fears, is saying that governors and school officials don’t want schools open because of politics, because it benefits them politically. … There is no political benefit keeping schools closed and kids upset and parents angry and parents unable to work because their kids are stuck at home. Oh, yeah, politically that’s going to serve you really well by doing that. Even as new modeling from the University of Washington today forecasts 208,000 people in this country may be dead of COVID-19 by Election Day. Which the president still does not seem to think is all that bad. Because he is still repeating the same falsehoods as ever about testing and mortality, which fell for a while, but is once again sadly, sickeningly, ticking up. … We’re so deep down a well of lies it’s hard to realize how dark this is.”

The Occupant of the White House is so desperate not to be seen as a loser in November that he is willing to watch people die.

Kamala Harris, Democratic Senator from California, denouncing ____  for sowing “hate and division” and using the Bible as a prop.

“I think that Donald _____ has combined the worst of George Wallace with Richard Nixon. You know, when he talks about ‘end it now’ and then ‘dominate the streets,’ you know, dominate, it literally—one iteration of dominate is about supremacy and that’s what [_____] is about. Let’s be clear about it, he has spent full time from the time he ran for president throughout his term in office, full time trying to sow hate and division among the American people. What he is right now doing in terms of invoking the American military, threatening the American people with the American military, the use of the American military against its own people. He is not a commander in chief. He is a divider. He is clearly scared. And—and he cannot meet this moment that he has partly created because of his inability to understand the pain and the suffering. Right now America is raw. Her wounds are exposed. And instead of having a president who understands it, who empathizes, who lifts up the spirits and acknowledges the pain, we have someone who chooses to hold up the Bible like a prop for his own political gain.”

He’s a racist. There is no heart. There is no soul. There is no compassion. No thought about this crisis other than how it makes him look.

And he looks, and sounds, like a racist.

Jimmy Kimmel, talk show host, blasting _____ for  inflaming violence amid the unrest in the wake of the murder of George Floyd:

“Unfortunately, this is the loop we get stuck in: It goes from ‘it isn’t right to kill an unarmed man’ to ‘well it also isn’t right to loot and set fires and attack the police, too’ [to] ‘but the police are attacking us and killing us over and over and nothing changes’ to ‘well that needs to be settled by the law’ to ‘well an officer of the law just killed another unarmed man.’ And so on. Last night there were senseless acts of violence that were brought on by a senseless act of violence. And it just keeps going in a loop. Our disgusting excuse for a president, Mr. Tough Guy Donnie Bone Spurs, says ‘I know what I’ll do. I’ll make this worse [referring to _____’s “when the looting starts, the shooting starts” racist Tweet] I especially want to pose this question to older people who have seen this before in this country, who have lived this nightmare of race riots already, in the ’60s and ’70s, ’80s, now. Is this who you want leading us? A president who clearly and intentionally inflames violence in the middle of a riot to show how tough he is? A commander in chief who threatens to put members of our military in the position of having to shoot a fellow American on sight? I don’t care what you are, right, left, Republican, Democrat. Enough is enough. We’ve got to vote this guy out already. And we need to work on this problem we have, this blatant double standard because when you stand in front of the flag, you put your hand on your heart and you pledge allegiance with ‘liberty and justice for all,’ we don’t have that, ‘for all.’ I mean, I have it, a lot of you have it, but it’s not for all.”

“Sixty-five years have passed, and I still remember the face of young Emmett Till. It was 1955. I was 15 years old—just a year older than him. What happened that summer in Money, Mississippi, and the months that followed—the recanted accusation, the sham trial, the dreaded verdict—shocked the country to its core. And it helped spur a series of non-violent events by everyday people who demanded better from our country. Despite real progress, I can’t help but think of young Emmett today as I watch video after video after video of unarmed Black Americans being killed, and falsely accused. My heart breaks for these men and women, their families, and the country that let them down — again. My fellow Americans, this is a special moment in our history. Just as people of all faiths and no faiths, and all backgrounds, creeds, and colors banded together decades ago to fight for equality and justice in a peaceful, orderly, non-violent fashion, we must do so again. To the rioters here in Atlanta and across the country: I see you, and I hear you. I know your pain, your rage, your sense of despair and hopelessness. Justice has, indeed, been denied for far too long. Rioting, looting, and burning is not the way. Organize. Demonstrate. Sit-in. Stand-up. Vote. Be constructive, not destructive.
