Being the youngest of the Neville Brothers would never prevent Cyril Neville from being the person he is, carrying on in the tradition of his more famous siblings. In fact, he not only embellishes on the historic New Orleans sound, he adds a little spice, psychedelic rock & roll, and deep blues. Cyril Neville may be a less rough-edged singer than his elders, not to the extent of senior Aaron Neville, but he is more instrumentally inclined as he dishes out roots/party-style piano on this feel-good compilation from his small discography for the M.C. label. Of course there are many gems, like the finger-poppin' bass-driven tribute to Professor Longhair, "Tipitina"; the pure pop "New Orleans Cookin'"; and the famous "Fortune Teller," a live ballad talking about "heroes and sheroes," penned by Naomi Neville, the alias of Allen Toussaint. A hard funk version of "Foxy Lady" scorches the earth instrumentally, but Neville takes it much slower vocally, while Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are A-Changin'" is done as a gospel soul tune. The remainder of the material is typical Neville, ranging from Latin plus funk to shuffle, a Native American Indian tribute, choral, commercial dance music à la disco, and even multi-layered rap ("Projects") and smooth jazz before the disc ends. The first number, "The Blues Is Here to Stay," might throw you off in its individual get-down blues, a lyric reference to Elmore James, and Taj Mahal's cameo appearance on harmonica. Certainly Cyril Neville has his pick of the litter as sidemen, including Toussaint, the Soul Rebels Brass Band, Marva Wright, Big Chief Iron Horse, saxophonist Tim Green, and no less than six fellow Nevilles. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better short stack of recognizable numbers or surprises from this first family of Crescent City icons, led by the least-known but well-reared one of the bunch. ~Michael G. Nastos

This is the latest album from Sweden's Matti Norlin. It's his 4th blues CD and his first since 2002. The album was recorded live at Blues 3 Trappor Upp (3 Stairs Up) in Tranemo Sweden and features a number of Matti Norlin originals with a smattering of blues classics from the likes of Robert Johnson and Charlie Patton.

A couple of things stand out on this CD. The first is the camaraderie between Matti and his audience. Although the dialogue is in Swedish, there is obvious humour apparent and the participation between artist and fan is quite extraordinary. The second is Matti's astonishing guitar playing. As well as his picking, he also plays quite a mean slide. His forays into rag time are also quite sensational.

This has to be one of he best solo live albums I have ever heard. Those who were present witnessed something quite special. The rest of us will have to hear the CD, It's indispensable.. ~ Mike Lightfoot

There is a proverb which states, "in the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived and how gracefully you let go." This saying became a mantra for Ryan Lee Crosby, who with his fifth album Busker on the Broad Highway, left behind an old identity and set out searching for a new life within the soul of the blues.

Through four new original songs and six blues classics by such artists as Son House, Skip James and Charlie Patton, Busker on the Broad Highway stands out in Crosby’s diverse discography as his most authentic performance to date. Paying homage to the early country blues recordings of the 1920s and 1930s, Crosby captured the album entirely live to tape, without overdubs or edits. Inspired by 78rpm issues on the legendary Paramount and Vocalion labels, Crosby heard these vintage recordings as both genuine products of true musical documentation and also as instructions for artists on a way of being present in the moment.

"I've been influenced by records in every genre over the years," Crosby says, "but nothing speaks in the same way as those early 78s of the self-accompanied country blues musicians. To me, that's the real sound of a soul searching for meaning in the world."

And this is exactly what Busker on the Broad Highway sounds like. The album is a sonic portrait of Crosby singing and playing guitar, with his left foot stomping against the floorboards. Much of the record's atmosphere is created by Crosby's collection of acoustic and electric 6 and 12 string guitars, most notably a customized electric Fender 12 string jazzmaster, which creates a shimmering sound that is unique within the blues canon.

The paradox of money is a subject well-represented in popular music, with rock getting so much of its fuel from blues and R&B. Enjoy these tunes about money from Alligator Records, the need for it, the things we do to get it, and, sadly, its highly volatile nature.

Tom Shaka, guitarist and singer, is a genuine "bluesman". For the past 30 years he’s been on the road doing blues and is now considered one of the most expressive musicians on the scene. He knows how to work the tradition with full respect while at the same time keeping an ear open for modern sounds. Tom’s brother, Bill Sciacca, is an outstanding blues harp player, who lives in New Orleans and Phoenix, Arizona. He tours extensively in the USA and Europe and has already shared the stage with such greats as Robert Lockwood Jr. The Shaka Brothers are a wonderful blues team that will lead the grand tradition of the guitar/harmonica duo into the future. The thirteen studio tracks of "Blues Blood" are a revelation for the fans of the genre. The two musicians put up a powerful and highly creative performance, but never lose the cool quality and elegance necessary. What they play here is honest, authentic acoustic-style blues, to the point without any bells and whistles.

Kathi McDonald remains as one of the great, unsung legends of Rock ‘n’ Roll. A long-time backup singer for such classic performers as Joe Cocker, Leon Russell, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Long John Baldry, and Ike & Tina Turner, Kathi contributed to some of the most thrilling, iconic music of the 60s and 70s, lending her bold, stirring vocals to songs that have shaped and rocked generations.

Kathi grew up in Mt. Vernon, Washington, where her passion for music flared early on. She began singing professionally at the tender age of 12 in clubs around the Seattle area. She had her first real brush with stardom at 19, when she was invited to audition as the lead singer of what was to become Big Brother and the Holding Company by none other than storied music promoter Chet Helms, often referred to as the Father of San Francisco’s 1967 “Summer of Love”. While Kathi hitchhiked her way down the coast from Seattle, however, a young Janis Joplin beat her to the audition and snagged the gig for herself. Nevertheless, Kathi’s relationship with the raucous Blues band would prove far from finished

Kathi stayed in San Francisco to enjoy the thriving music scene, playing clubs and seeing other future greats develop their acts. Then, on one chance night, while attending an Ike & Tina Turner concert at the fabled Fillmore West, Kathi’s life would change forever. As Kathi remembered in a 2009 interview*: “I was about eight months pregnant. When they were doing ‘River Deep Mountain High,’ I sang a part I’d memorized from the record. Ike heard me and said he wanted to see me in the back after the show. I thought he was pissed and that I’d embarrassed myself in front of one of my biggest influences. But he said he wanted me in the studio the next day. I said, ‘OK, I’m there.’ After that, I did all the backup work for three and a half years. I was the Ikettes in the studio. They had the girls onstage and they had the studio Ikettes, and that was me.”

From that chance encounter, Kathi’s immortal career was launched. She would spend the following three and a half years performing as an Ikette for the beloved Rock ‘n’ Roll act. During this period, Kathi honed her vocal craft and learned the art of live performance, touring practically non-stop and even recording backup on their acclaimed 1970 record, Come Together. She took only 10 days off to return home to have her baby daughter, Erin, before jet setting back to Las Vegas to continue performing, newborn child in tow.

Kathi McDonald died, suddenly, on October 3, 2012, in Seattle, at the age of 64. Although her death was untimely, Kathi will live on forever through her immeasurable contribution to the world of music, not only in her accompanying performances on countless hits of the past four decades, but through her one-of-a-kind, mighty sound, which will echo in our hearts and minds for years to come.

From the same South Louisiana swamps from which sprang Guitar Gable, King Karl, Cookie & The Cupcakes, Buckwheat Zydeco, Cliffton Chenier, Rockin’' Dopsie, Lil Bob & The Lollipops, Bobby Charles, Phil Phillips, Guitar Slim, now gives us Selwyn Cooper.

Selwyn, a master of the Louisiana swamp blues guitar, has gathered some of his South Louisiana friends to help present some new songs and refresh a few of the standards. Also, Selwyn has had Gordon Wills to record his version of the South Louisiana anthem “"Mathilda”" as a tribute to the late Cookie Thierry, leader of Cookie & The Cupcakes.

Selwyn played guitar for Clifton Chenier until 1987, then he rejoined Buckwheat Zydeco, playing concerts across the USA and Europe. Selwyn later hooked up with Rockin’' Dopsie, sharing the picking duties with another guitar legend, Paul “"Lil Buck”" Senagal. For a singing guitar player, it was inevitable that Selwyn would form his own group. It is not difficult to find quality musicians in South Louisiana and great players always attract other fine musicians.

Bobby Rush got dirty on 2013's Down in Louisiana but with 2014's Decisions, he returns to his slick blues-funk ways, but this doesn't mean it's a rote affair by any means. He has teamed up with the band Blinddog Smokin' and, for the first time in his career, recorded with fellow Louisiana legend Dr. John. Mac Rebennack shows up on the opening "Another Murder in New Orleans," a deeply soulful and searching portrait of the violence that often plagues the Big Easy but, really, that's the only instance when good times aren't on Rush's mind. He leers about being a "Funky Old Man" and winks about what happens on "Bobby Rush's Bus," two songs that set the pace and attitude for much of the rest of Decisions. At times, the guitarist looks into the future -- there's a near-electronic funk beat underpinning "Dr. Rush" -- and other times the past ("Skinny Little Women" is a dexterous Louisiana groove and, elsewhere, he picks up an acoustic for some backporch grit), but this is really about Rush being in the present and enjoying his status as a very big fish in a big swamp. He's happy to recall his better, grittier moments, doesn't mind changing things up as long as it brings in more punters and, generally, is just having a good time and encouraging you to do so, too. ~Stephen Thomas Erlewine

While recording in the South in the early 1960s, producer, writer, and music historian Samuel Charters was inspired not only by the sound of Furry Lewis’s guitar, but by the patterns of movement in his hands and fingers as he played. Thus Charters decided to make a film that would document aspects of the blues that couldn’t be put on a phonograph record. In the sweltering summer of 1962, Charters journeyed through St. Louis, Memphis, Louisiana, and South Carolina to shoot the film The Blues and record this soundtrack. Artists featured in addition to Lewis are J.D. Short, Baby Tate, and Sleepy John Estes. Liner notes include details of the making of the film and biographies of the artists.

John McVey is a veteran of Texas Blues, who created his signature tone and earned his aggressive guitar chops as a member of touring bands on the Chitlin’ Circuit. He was mentored by Blues legends Larry Davis and Albert King. With no effects pedals, his 'singing guitar' emotes heart-rending bends and smooth runs as well as bold chording that has led many, including the legendary 'Uncle' John Turner, to call McVey 'the best rhythm guitar player around.'

His musical resume includes world-wide performances with Hook Herrera & the Hitchhikers and Paul Orta & the Kingpins. After a very profitable Miller Genuine Draft Light television spot, John joined the Lavelle White Band in ATX as guitarist and band leader. With Lavelle, he played the major festival circuit for several years on shows with Luther Allison, John Lee Hooker and more.

John’s second CD, Road House Stomp, was recorded at Dan Electro's in Houston and released in 2009.

John McVey isn't going anywhere, so you might as well latch onto his introspective sound now before he grows more popular and less willing to illuminate his inner self. Here is a comforting set out of Utah Valley, an outtake from the expanding Rocky Mountain acoustic scene and a step toward the national contemporary folk plane. McVey is a formidable singer/songwriter who plainly acknowledges the world's tendency not to resemble fairy tales. Several tracks are an outward characterization of the poet's personality. "Distracted" appeared on a religious compilation album in 1999 but broadly tackles any dream and the obstacles that cloud your vision en route to finding it. While listening to the winning ballad "Fall for You," you may have to pop the CD out and check the label to be sure you aren't listening to Their Greatest Hits by the Eagles. "Incognito" rides with the guts of a biker gang member scanning the avenue for where he wants to make trouble next. "Already Broken" takes an up-tempo turn from the rest of the album, driving a Wallflowers-esque melody right to your brain. With an ethereal hook in the chorus, "Simple" fades the record into the starlight that seems to have inspired McVey's continual pleas. One question, John: Why would you banish your cover of "Tell Me Something Good" as a hidden track, other than the fact that it's a little too bluesy to fit the rest of Jigsaw? Answer? Perhaps because it's like finding a $20 bill in your pocket; like the rest of the record, it's a pleasant surprise. ~Jared Johnson

For the first time ever, Blues Rock Guitarist Steve Hunter, renowned for his work with Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed and Alice Cooper, is captured on film playing a career-spanning anthology in an intimate setting with some of the worlds finest players. Also featuring Tony Levin, Phil Aaberg and Alvino Bennett!

The CD, titled 'Tone Poems Live', was filmed on August 24th 2013 at a recording studio in LA. Alongside Steve was Tony Levin on Bass (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson) Phil Aaberg on Keyboards (Elvin Bishop, Peter Gabriel) Alvino Bennett on Drums (Dave Mason, Robin Trower).

They rehearsed for two days and filmed on the third day as though it were in front of an audience. Fourteen tunes, each played twice, with no overdubs added later. The material was chosen from most of Steve’s solo albums plus a few covers, including ‘Solsbury Hill’ ‘What’s Going On’ and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s ‘Riviera Paradise’. This is the first time Steve Hunter has ever been filmed doing his own material plus material of his own choice. Steve is now legally blind and although not out of the question, touring has become more of a challenge. The recording session was produced and recorded by Brian Brinkerhoff and Paul Lani.

The long-awaited new Robert Charels blues/R&B album, Three Leg Dogs & Old Skool Cats, is finally here! After working with blues master Duke Robillard on his last release, Metropolitan Blue, Charels chose famed guitarist and Living Blues and Blues Revue cover subject Michael Hill (Have Mercy!, Bloodlines) as his producer. The choice seems very well worth it. Hill composed and performs on the stunning new-age blues romantic ballad "We Hardly Make Love," already drawing pre-release raves. Add to that such funk-filled tunes as the whimsical original "Three Leg Dog" and Sir Mack Rice's "Playin' On Me," the righteous indignation of the passionate, jazzy "Old Skool Cats," and new versions of songs by legends like Mighty Joe Young and Jerry LaCroix, and it's obvious that the soulful and unique vocalist Charels is great form for his third national release. Add to all this a new guitar-oriented sound that features fretboard masters Bob Petrocelli and Anthony Steele as well as contributions from Hill, renowned eight-string bassist Eric Mauriello, and guest drummer Dennis Cotton (Savoy Brown), and it adds up to an album as original as it is daring, as fun as it is serious, and as contemporary as it is traditional. This new effort was recorded and mixed by the Grammy-nominated John Paul Gauthier (Duke Robillard, John Hammond) and mastered by Larry Lachmann (Bo Bice, Santana) of New York's cutting edge Integrated Studios.

Josh Knight and nephew of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Tyrone Vaughan team up together for the release of Still Raisin Cain.

You know his family members. Sharing such musical heritage with his Father, Jimmie Vaughan, and his Uncle, Stevie Ray Vaughan ... Tyrone was born to play "Guitar"... Ever since his Uncle “Stevie Ray” gave him his first guitar at age 5, there was no looking back…He's got licks, and knows what to do with a Stratocaster. Its raw, rural sound is evident from the beginning that Tyrone has that "Vaughan" sound.

What is it that they say “it's in the genes”…..Being a different style than his father "Jimmie Vaughan" and His uncle "Stevie Ray", Tyrone paves his own path into the great league of Texas Guitar Gunslingers by mixing "Rock and Blues" all into one with a slap of Attitude.... Texas style..

This project started as an attempt to celebrate the centenary of Rev. Gary Davis's birth, but turned into something more like herding cats. We now present to you twenty musical examples that include his early Greenville partner, Willie Walker, from whom Blind Gary undoubtly learned a few tricks; his earliest known student, Blind Boy Fuller, whose commercial success virtually transformed the post-depression blues world; and eighteen recent entries, who were either students of his, or who were taught by someone who was.

The people on this CD are intened to be representative, but not exhaustive. This is because Rev. Davis was as much a teacher as he was a player, and he taught whomsoever presented themselves to be taught, for however long they were in his presence. If we had an unlimited budget and all the CDs in the world, we could present ten times as many people. When I first saw Davis in 1963, I flipped, I would assume the same holds true for all the performers whose works are reproduced here.

Half the numbers were taken from existing CDs, including the two 78s. The other half were newly minted by the performers, and may turn up on their own CDs as time goes on. An effort was made to be as inclusive as possible: we have male and female, black and white, gentle and Jew, Canadian and American, and while most of the performers are living, some have followed Rev. Davis from this vale tears. Rev. Davis did not discriminate. His influence was broad, far reaching and lifelong. But most of all, it was personal. Of the twenty performers on this recording, the majority knew him well, a couple knew him peripherally, and the remainder would have sought him out had they had the chance. ~Andy Cohen

A blues man born deep in the heart of Texas, Justin James Bridges plays music from the soul and doesn’t know any other way. Self-taught by listening to legends like Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Lightnin’ Hopkins, and The Doors, JJB’s distinctive picking style and fret work are reminiscent of earlier times in American music.JJB takes dirty Southern blues, rock, funk, soul, folk, and hip-hop and makes it his own, Texas-style. One of JJB’s early projects, Leprechaun Theory—a Texas rock trio—played SXSW in 2008 and 2010. As a member of the Houston Blues Society, JJB felt inspired to go professional when blues drummer Jackie Grey told him, “If you wanna get good at the blues, you gotta pay your bills with it.” Three months later in January 2011, JJB hit the road with the “Hang on for the Ride” album tour, ending up in Portland, Oregon.

Now based in Portland, JJB has played Hempstalk three years in a row, Seattle Hempfest, opened for Makana, and did a twenty-show Western states tour in March of 2013. In fall of 2011 the Occupy Wall Street movement swept the nation. JJB is an American Sign Language interpreter and volunteered his time to interpret for deaf activists at Occupy Portland and to make music. After the Occupy Portland camp spent over a month peacefully building community and providing social services, it was evicted in a police action at which JJB was violently attacked by the police. The attack left him in a wheelchair, unable to move his right arm and right leg. He slowly regained use of his picking hand after six months and today expects a full recovery, though he is still confined to a wheelchair.

His latest collaborative project, Patchwork Family Band, headlined the 2012 OGF Care Growers Cup, rocked Hempstalk 2012, and appeared several times on the TV show Cannabis Common Sense. PFB toured Texas in February 2012 and brought the “Beyond Eviction” album tour to the West coast later that April. JJB’s latest solo album, “Long Road to Nowhere,” showcases his songwriting talent and guitar work with ten tracks of blues, rock, and revolution.

JJB also runs Portland Oregon Tunes & More Radio from Local Live Media, LLC, promoting underground music and provocative talk and news radio.

Born and raised in Michigan circa 1957 Dave was positioned to be influenced by Motowns greatest as the tides changed to early 70's rock and roll. Mitch Ryder, Bob Seger, Mr. Floods Party , Brownsville Station, Alice Cooper and Grand Funk Railroad. But the greatest influence was by far Jimi Hendrix. Mentored by Duane Allman and early Allman Bros recordings... Dave developed the beginning of his now easily identifiable slide technique and style.

Although the influences were many, the list included the likes of Johnny Winter, Alvin Lee, Ted Nugent, Savoy Brown, Chet Atkins, Jimmy Reed and later would include such names as SRV, Eric Johnson, Eric Sardinas, Satch, Vai, Jimmy Thackery, Walter Trout, Dave Hole and Sonny Landreth.

Performing around the Midwest he has shared stages with Sonny Rhodes, Smokin' Joe Kubeck, Joe Bonnamassa, Rene Austin, and many more. Dave continues to WOW his audiences with a blend of technical expertise, combined with a flavorful respect for tradition causing his destiny of becoming a household name to be inevitable. Dave's own blend of Roadhouse Rock and Blues has been developed by his many years of experience on stage and countless miles of geographical diversity and influence. But still, as always, the best test is wth you the listener. ~Dave Smith

In his search for voice, Morris fuses two seemingly opposite styles into a vision that works; older, African-American inner city blues with young, blonde white teens at the beach. Call it Otis Rush meets the Ventures or the Iceman Albert Collins melts strings with a surfin' Dick Dale. Whatever you label it; Danny Morris plays from a blues based style that incorporates roots and surf, and a bluesy, California beach roots rock. And it works. There are a lot of people saying I'm not playing blues anymore, but to me it's all the same. When I hear Albert Collins' Truckin' CD, I hear a surf record. Most of the songs have that 60 go-go surf beat. The Otis Rush records I like have tons of reverb echoplex sound. I've always liked that Collins and Rush reverb drenched sound. To me, what I do takes the blues outta the barroom and puts it outside. I don't play the Beach Boys stuff; my surf style has the edgy, meanness of the blues sound. I also listen to a lot of the Cuban music from the 5O's, so you'll hear Spanish stuff," said Morris. How do blues rooms react to this mixture? "When I start playing the Ventures, they look at me like. This isn't what we expected, but don't change it, we love it!" So put on your 5O's beach garb, wax the boards, pile in the woody, and oil up the air whammy bar because Danny's takin' us on a surfin' guitar safari. ~Art Tipaldi

New Zealand's finest harmonica players and their own songs on one album. Such a compilation has never been attempted before. These are the players who may be gigging at your local pub, performing at the many festivals around the country, supporting high profile overseas acts, or touring the world as ambassadors for New Zealand music. Each player has their own style and though today the harmonica is mostly associated with blues and country music, there are funk, rock, Irish and folk influences to be heard on this album.

Eleven of the songs were recorded live during a three day session at Montage Recording Studios in Grey Lynn, Auckland. This created an opportunity for old friends to reunite, new friends to swap tales from the road and for some, to get their music recorded for the first time. From the country to the city, these are the roots of New Zealand music and the Masters of the Harmonica.

You may or may not have heard of Deltaville, VA; ‘The boating capital of the Chesapeake Bay’. The mere tagline inspires thoughts of peaceful vistas and dreams come true. I bring this up to help illustrate the spirit, and set the mood for you, as you’re immersed in ‘Welcome To Deltaville’. In this sometimes cold, cruel world we live in, there is seldom relief, and certainly no quarter. Allow me, if you will, to offer simple direction to solace and comfort. At a time of need, or just a serendipitous moment, drop ‘Welcome to Deltaville’ into your player and feel your travails and troubles lifted from your shoulders as Bobby Messano and his crew of familiar collaborators and amazing guest characters sweep you up in the magic of the music. It is a promise of beautifully conceived stories masterfully shared from the heart, delivered with consummate perfection. You know in the depths of your soul only passion translated, and woven into a tapestry of magnificence shared, can bring you close to salvation. What is the actual atomic weight of thoughts, beliefs and dreams? Are they real? Can you touch them? I don’t know, and I would hazard a guess that you don’t either. But you can count on the fact they touch you in ways that are prophetic and most definitely life changing. You will find in this CD a restorative salve that will gently massage your spirit and heal the scars of the ‘everyday, everyday’ as only truth, beauty and love can. RELAX….and, Welcome to Deltaville ~John “Blueshammer” Hammer

Doug MacLeod displays several sides of his artistry on this AudioQuest CD. His music ranges from solo folk numbers in the idiom of Leadbelly (but covering different subjects) to country blues with a trio, a few romps with the wailing harmonica of Carey Bell and two collaborations with the country fiddle of Heather Hardy. MacLeod's appealing voice is easy to understand, his lyrics are thoughtful and fresh (even when covering universal subjects) and his melodic guitar playing is versatile. MacLeod's well-conceived set should appeal to collectors of acoustic blues and folk music. ~Scott Yanow

Calling All Blues, the new album from two-time Grammy nominee and multi Blues Music Award winning guitarist Duke Robillard. Backing Duke (vocals/various guitars), is his regular band of Bruce Bears (keyboards/vocals), Brad Hallen (bass/background vocals) and Mark Teixeira (drums/percussion/background vocals). They are augmented by special guests Sunny Crownover (lead/background vocals), Rich Lataille (alto/tenor saxes), Mark Earley (tenor/baritone saxes) and Doug Woolverton (trumpet).

"Robillard has written eight of the ten songs included. “Down in Mexico” is a Memphis styled song inspired while vacationing in Mexico. “I’m Gonna Quit My Baby” features Duke on slide with a broken hand; he states it gives a funkier sound than usual. “Svengali” was inspired by a character played by John Barrymore in the 1930’s movie of the same name. “Blues Beyond The Call of Duty” was written by Robillard for Crownover who sings it beautifully. Robillard states that “Confusion Blues” is inspired by his Attention Deficit Disorder. It is sung by Bruce Bears in a vocal style similar to Mose Allision. “Motor Trouble” is a one chord boogie. “Nasty Guitar” is a bit of Memphis rock n’ roll. “Temptation” is the title track from Robillard’s 1994 Point Blank Records recording of the same name and it is reprised here.

“Emphasis on Memphis” was co-written by Gary Nicholson and Ron Sexsmith. It’s got a great hook and it could receive significant airplay. “She’s So Fine, So Glad She’s Mine” was written by Duke Coleman and a hit for The Carter Brothers in 1966. In my opinion Robillard is one of the two or three best guitarists in the Blues world. He is also a master producer and recorded this album at his own Pawtucket, R.I. studio appropriately named “Duke’s Mood Room”. ~Richard Ludmere
