The Teskey brothers are a band from the sunny banks of the Yarra River, Nestled amongst the small town of Warrandyte (VIC). The band consists of brothers Sam Teskey (lead guitar) and Josh Teskey (vocals, rhythm guitar, harmonica) and also features members Brendon Love (bass guitar) and Liam Gough (Drums). The current line up formed in 2008 and have been playing extensively though out Melbourne and the Yarra Valley for the last 8 years. The bands history however dates much further back.
Josh and Sam Teskey have always played music together as brothers, however it wasn’t until Josh’s introduction to the Melbourne Rudolf Steiner School that helped inspired him and paved the way for musical exploration. By the age of 14 josh was already busking at St Andrews market on weekends; mimicking his musical heroes. People would often be astonished to watch a young kid singing Otis Redding songs and playing the blues with such authenticity and soul.
