December 2004 we played at Dueslaget in Næstved. Torben Kaas, guitar / vocals - Pedro Fussing, bass - Jan Munch, drums - Henrik Vestergaard, harmonica. Original blues crew.

The name on the poster was "T. Case and the Grounders ". It should soon be changed to N'City Blues.

Pedro, Jan and I had been practicing all summer as pop / cover trio and played our first jobs. By chance we came to talking blues, and Pedro said he had toured with blue husband Jan Gerfast in Sweden for years, and knew also a great harp player. Henrik Vestergaard. He lived in Svendborg. Jan and I had never played blues for real.

We all met for the first time that night in December, and it was the beginning of concerts, tours, recordings and more in subsequent years.

I started writing material. Jan, Pedro and I met once a week and tried ideas and events. Henrik was only with the jobs. We booked time in the "Ark studio" in Copenhagen and recorded 10 tracks. It was a mix of covers and originals.

We had by now, settled for a style in the direction of zydeco and traditional blues. Our great role model and inspiration were Tab Benoit from Baton Rouge, USA.

In autumn 2005, we were ready to record our debut CD, and we spent three days in Henrik's parents' home in Jutland. It became "What a Night".

The following year we played a lot of concerts as "What a Night" CD had paved the way for.

Summer 2007 we recorded "Down in New Orleans" and got Hans Leonardo Pedersen to play with the "Booggie shoe boogie". Again I had written all the songs. It was a very successful production.

Our major goal had always been to come to America and try our music and the year after we managed to play three concerts in Baltimore, MD, USA. Jan. left, however, the group shortly before the US tour and he was replaced Tobias Leonardo Pedersen. The many concerts during the year led us well played and immediately after the US tour we recorded our live - CD in Næstved jazz club.

2009 we toured in Sweden and Germany, where we played by the international jazz festival "dixieland am Zoo" in Dresden.

We were starting to play some concerts with Hans Leonardo Pedersen as fifth man on the sax. It gave the group a slightly different expression, and it resulted in the CD "N'City Blues feat. Hans Leonardo Pedersen," which we recorded in Bisserup autumn 2010.

We have played in jazz clubs, blues clubs, festivals, pubs, cultural centers, cafes, festive weeks, private events, and much more. Our music has been shown to spread joy and positive waves at the concerts and we are grateful to have been allowed to experience these great moments. ~automatic translation.
