Recorded mostly in 1976, with bonus tracks taken from a 1974 concert, King Biscuit Flower Hour: In Concert is quite possibly the best live Foghat album on the market -- it boasts better sound quality and lengthier jams than the somewhat abbreviated Foghat Live album from 1977, and it features the band during the prime years of their career, unlike the latter-day Road Cases. Return of the Boogie Men is the thirteenth studio album by British hard rock band Foghat, released in 1994. This album reunited the original members of the band, Dave Peverett, Roger Earl, Rod Price and Tony Stevens. Price had left the group after the completion of 1980's "Tight Shoes" release; Stevens had departed following the recording of "Rock and Roll Outlaws" in 1974. Beginning in June, 1994, Foghat toured through the end of 1996 to promote "Return of the Boogie Men". Two performances at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon on October 25 and 26, 1996 were recorded which resulted in the 1998 live album, Road Cases.-

Formed in 1971 when "Lonesome" Dave Peverett and Roger Earl left the British blues-rock band SAVOY BROWN, FOGHAT has earned eight gold albums, one platinum album and one double-platinum album. They've continued to release new music every few years and have never stopped touring and recording, although there have been several ups and downs and lineup changes over the years. They sadly lost Peverett in 2000, Rod Price in 2005 and Craig Macgregor in 2018, but founding drummer Roger Earl kept the band's musical legacy going. If FOGHAT had only given us "Slow Ride", the band's place in rock history would be secure, but the band is so much more than that. As stated by Roger Earl: "We are still a 'work in progress,' writing and recording and plan to be until the day we depart this earth." The band has already started to work on a new blues/rock studio album, to be released in 2022.

Foghat’s live performances show why the band is still around today and why they will be able to keep on rockin’ for as long as they want. This band truly is timeless. Constant touring is part of their DNA and the band just loves to play. Their live show is as intense as ever with the incredible energy and musicianship that one would expect and hope for from a seasoned band with such a long musical history.

Recorded on August 11, 2016, Live at The Belly Up opens with the one-two punch of “Fool For The City” and “Eight Days on the Road” and doesn’t let up until the last note of the raucous 10 minute, no-holds-barred set closer “Slow Ride.” The album also features three tracks from Foghat’s 2016 release Under The Influence making their live recording debut: “Under The Influence,” “Knock It Off,” and “Hot Mama.” According to lead singer Charlie Huhn, “the band just wants to make sure that after every show, fans are convinced they just got rocked, from the second we start the first song to the end of the show.” Live at The Belly Up proves that Foghat is delivering on that commitment.

On June 24, Foghat will release a new album, Under the Influence. It is their 17th studio record and first since 2010’s Last Train Home.

The project, which took three years to come to fruition, brings together the current lineup — founding drummer Roger Earl, singer/guitarist Charlie Huhn, lead guitarist Bryan Bassett and bassist Craig MacGregor, who has played on and off with them since 1976 — with some important names from their past. Kim Simmonds, the guitarist of Savoy Brown, which Earl and two other men left to form Foghat, makes an appearance. Also, Nick Jameson, who played bass on “Slow Ride,” sat it on a new version of their biggest hit, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of “Slow Ride.”

Under the Influence was produced by Grammy-nominated Tom Hambridge, known for his work with Buddy Guy, Lynyrd Skynyrd and George Thorogood. Work began in 2013 at the band’s Boogie Motel South studio in Florida, but eventually moved to Nashville’s Dark Horse Studios. According to Earl, Hambridge lobbied for the gig.

“I met Tom when presenting three awards to Buddy Guy and Tom (his producer) at the Memphis Blues Awards,” he said in a press release. “Tom said that he was a fan, and would love to produce a Foghat record. Putting that in the back of my mind, this was the perfect opportunity. Tom came down to Boogie Motel South to meet the band and we clicked and started writing together immediately. Working with him was inspirational!”
