Raised in Detroit at the height of the Motown era, guitarist/singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Marcus Dillon was introduced at an early age to the rhythms, harmonies and artists of 'Hitsville'. After picking up the guitar in his teens and armed with an old '62 Fender Stratocaster and even older Gibson acoustic & Dobro resonator, he followed his calling and was soon exposed to and influenced by the Blues and Rock artists of Chicago, the east/west coasts and the Blues/Rock/Roots movement resonating out of the UK & Ireland. Dillon's journey continued into the south where he connected with the music, musicians and spirit of the Southern Delta. He was further inspired by the early American Roots, Cajun, Soul & Gospel music coming out of the Southland & points west. Dillon's method of songwriting and arranging bring together all those elements of music to create a unique blend of rock blues, rock steady rhythms, soulful ballads and gospel inspired vocal harmonies. He delivers a strong vocal presence, dynamic masterful electric guitar playing and bottleneck slide styles reminiscent of Lowell George and Ry Cooder. Dillon also delivers a powerful, soulful mix of this formula and generates the same raw energy on record as you would experience live. This seasoned veteran has logged in many studio hours and has performed nationally and intentionally to rave reviews, both as a band and as a soloist.
