This four piece group came together in 1999 with a common desire to play the classic blues and jump of the original stars of the postwar blues renaissance. The members have established themselves in bands such as The House rockers, LA Jones, The Hornets, Hash Brown Blues band, Dance Committee, 10/202 band and the Hot Skillet Papas. Influences include Little Walter Jacobs, Willie Dixon, Big Walter Horton, T-Bone Walker, Elmore James and many more. Jr Krauss and the Shakes were winners of the 2005 Blues Challenge, organized by the Ct. Blues Society. As one person put it " not your average blues band".
