In1989 in Poland at a festival "Zaczarowany Swiat Harmonici" Alexander Dolgov and His Band got noticed by one of the most skillfull managers in The Eastern Europe at that time -Grzegorz Grabowski. He was also the manager and producer of a blues-band number one in Poland - "Nocna Zmiana Bluesa" . It was a real Good Luck. From that moment , "The Rain" often came with tours to Europe participating in various festivals - mostly in Poland, Czech Republic, Germany. The Soviet Union failure made some changes. After "Blues in Russia" festival where Alexander Dolgov and The Rain were the youngest participants, Alexander Dolgov with his recognizable "ripping" guitar style was acknowledged as one of the best guitarists. His singing manner and songwriting also haven’t been overlooked. In 1993 they became the basis for his debut full LP "Blues News", recorded at Stas Namin`s "SNC" studio in Moscow.(*this record had been reissued in 2007 as Alexander Dolgov & The Rain "Blues News" CD, MZ-385-4,2007).
