Kader Sundy discovered the guitar when he was only ten years old. Very quickly he felt a passion for the blues, whose laments reminded him of the traditional songs of his country of origin, Algeria. It was the beginning of the nineties that he crossed the path of famous bluesmen like Correy Harris, Luther Allison, Willie Kent...and Amar Sundy. Amar supported Kader, together they played at various festivals, jam sessions and Parisian clubs throughout France.
It's from that collaboration with Amar Sundy that his SafarBlues was born, a stunning mix between Blues and African rhythms skillfully balanced on the strings of his guitar.
A concert at the Olympia (Paris) gave Kader a chance to play with Joe Louis Walker. Kader Sundy is a very skilled guitar player who feels at ease on stage, you will feel the magic of the unique sound he creates as he crosses Chicago Blues and traditional African rhythms...TWO MEETINGS HAVE DETERMINED his musical career.
In 1996, he met Jean.Pierre Vignola, who initiated the first "blues sur seine" festival. Thanks to him, he participated in several festivals as a volunteer where he met great blues masters, particularly Amar Sundy. Sundy and Kader share in common their native roots of Algeria. Sundys unique style of blues combined with traditional Arabian music drew Kader to become mentored by him. Inspiring him to find a new way to express himself through his own compositions, a combination of Chicago blues and African sounds.
Kader Sundy has now found himself creating his own original style: SafarBlues, combining the sounds of North Africa and the West...
