A few months ago, in June 2018, Eriksson Delcroix joined forces to make music. The goal was to make foolish, free music and to keep the focus on gaming fun. Bjorn laid down some rules: fast rhythms, no minor chords and certainly no serious subjects. A week long improvised and everything was immediately recorded live. The result is the new album 'Riverside Hotel'.

After the recording, Bjorn and drummer and engineer Alain Rylant left for three weeks to the south of the United States where they visited the Appalachians, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. They traveled via the 'Blues Trail' past countless historical sites such as the tomb of Robert Johnson, the Riverside Hotel, the birth villages of Skip James and BB King, the plantations where Son House and Charlie Patton met, deep into the marshes of Louisiana. , where the French / English cajun music (music played by father Karl and Bjorn years ago) arose and concluded their journey in one of the most important country music cities of America: Austin, Texas.

In the evenings on the veranda, daily observations and musings were noted that could continue as lyrics for the already recorded music. Once back in Belgium, the band went to work to finish the album and put the dots on the i. The result is uncomplicated, light, cheerful and humorous work by Eriksson Delcroix. A step forward from their old dark comfort zone.
