South Bound Freight Train is the first CD for the Biscuit Rollers. The band started in 2005 in hope of finding the right combination of musicians that really cared about preserving the old time blues feeling of people like Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and Cephas and Wiggins. The band is headed by vocalist and percussionist Kelly Miller who brings that deep Mississippi blues voice that we love to hear in those old records of yesterday. Scotty Grey is the spark of the band and plays a variety of musical instruments including guitar and foot drums but is a master at old piedmont blues harp with a bit of Sonny Terry and Sugar Blue mixed in. Jack Roy is the guitarist of the band, while throwing in some harp and banjo just to keep things lively.

We hope you like the CD as much as we enjoyed making it. These songs were our favorites to perform over the last 3 years and wanted to share them with our fans and friends.
