Fronted by stand up drummer/singer Chuck Strong, SRBQ, the "Strong Rhythm and Blues Quartet" play a groove driven contemporary style. Based in Santa Clarita, Chuck and the boys have just completed their new album, "It's About Time", the first in 30 years. SRBQ's live deep pocket is driven by Freddie Johnson on Bass and the Legendary Skip Van Winkl on organ. Guitarist, Chris Cardenas rounds out the quartet with his technical dynamic flair. The name SRBQ is a tribute to the East Coast band, NRBQ, who inspired Chuck to sing and write Blues influenced songs back in the 70's. Chuck's original vocal and drumming style make for an experience like no other. Come take a ride on the SRBQ groove train.

"The name SRBQ, is for the "Strong Rock and Blues Quartet". I've been using it for years as my all around title for various projects. It is now the title for my blues project only. As a very young man, back in December 1976 I attended a concert in Willimantic, Connecticut at the "Shaboo Inn". The band was called "NRBQ". They inspired me to sing and do my own music, my way! Hence my "Tribute" monicker "SRBQ". Having an early jazz influence it was easy to slide into Blues and Rockabilly music as I grew older. I love music in all forms and write simple songs that speak exactly how I feel at any given moment. Come along for the ride with hopes that my music touches you in the way that so many other songs have touched me."
