Gavin began learning piano at 5 years of age and discovered rhythm and blues at age 13 when he heard a 78rpm of Albert Ammons and Pete Johnson performing 'boogie woogie man'. Gavin realised what his piano tutor was trying to teach him was not what he wanted to learn! A lifetime of touring and recording followed, with such names as Kristy MacColl, Dave Edmunnds, Dion, Shakin' Stevens, Albert Lee plus many many other artists. Gavin has now realised his long time dream of playing his own songs with his band.
