Harmonica player for over 19 years, Marcelo Ships is today considered one of the greatest Blues harp players of Brazil. With its style compared to the great harmonica players from Chicago.
Has performed alongside Blues greats like Deacon Jones, R.J.Mischo, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, SugarRay RayFord, Michael Dotson, James Weller, Eddie c. Campbell, Jazmine Colleman, Kenny Brown, Bocato, Flávio Guimarães, Igor Prado, Nuno Mindelis, among others.
In March 2009 he released the CD Marcelo Naves & Os Maquinistas Do Blues, titled "Minha Gaita É Meu Patrao", with the participation of Adriano Grineberg (the band's pianist IRA), and the same year the Acoustic Blues legends "DVD" forming the duo Marcelo Naves & Danilo Simi. In 2011 toured by Mexico, with 11 shows in the towns of Salvatierra, Tethiuacan, Guadalajarra and Mexico City in the 5th Encuentro Internacional de Blues, and is currently releasing their second CD.
