Delta Blues Band is a Danish blues/rock band, which today consists of Troels Jensen (guitar, vocals); Thomas Puggaard-Müller (guitar); Jørgen Lang (harmonica); Knut Henriksen (bass) and Asmus Jensen (drums).

The band was founded in 1968 by Troels Jensen, Thomas Puggaard-Müller, Søren Engel (bass) and Preben Feddersen (drums). The band toured regularly through the 1970s, and between 1980 to 1983 they had great commercial success as Delta Cross Band with guitarist Billy Cross. After Cross left the band, he sometimes participated in smaller tours. Delta Blues Band has had different constellations over the years, but has since 1968 had Troels Jensen as a continuous member of the orchestra.

Delta Blues Band celebrated their 40th anniversary at the Copenhagen Blues Festival in 2008 and has since then been touring on several occasions. Their selftitled debut LP, originally released in 1969, was released on CD in 2001 in Germany and in Denmark in 2010 and is also included in the box set title Dansk Rock Historie 1965-1978 Vol. II (Danish Rock History 1965-1978 Vol. II). /Wikipedia

Danish 1960's to 1990's rock/blues band. When in the 80's joined by US guitarist Billy Cross known as Delta-Cross Band. The original line-up at the time of the 1969 debut was: Troels Jensen, Michael Puggaard-Müller, Thomas Puggaard-Müller, Søren Engel. Shortly after the debut release, the Puggaard-Müller brothers left to form PAN. They were replaced by Preben Feddersen and Peter Høiler. This line-up released a single in 1971. In 1972 Feddersen left to form Buffalo, Søren Engel to play with Paddy Doyles. For the next year of the original line-up only Troels Jensen continued Delta Blues Band joined by Bent Malinovsky, Peter Kragh Jacobsen and Thor Backhausen. This line up backed Sunnyland Slim on a 1973 recording session. Later in 1973 the group reformed, now as just "Delta", with Jensen, Malinowsky, Kragh Jacobsen, Knut Henriksen and Max Nutzhorn, vocals. This group began recording an album, but after internal conflicts Nutzhorn and Henriksen took over the group and finished the recordings now as Fly United. In 1974 Troels Jensen re-organized Delta w. Kragh Jacobsen, Søren Engel and Billy Cross. Over the next period, several guitarist was involved with the group, but the core of the band was Troels Jensen, Søren Engel and Feddersen. In 1977 - as Delta - the group released a self-titled album. This line up with Billy Cross and Jørgen Lang released an album, "No Overdubs", recorded in just 6 hours. The album kickstarted a revival for the band. The band reformed as Delta-Cross Band and for the next decade had a very succesful and popular career. After Cross left again performing by the original name.

Sensational comeback by Denmark’s oldest blues band at the 2008 Copenhagen Blues Festival. A keystone of the Danish blues scene in the 1960’s, Delta Blues Band reshaped with extreme commercial success as Delta Cross Band in the 1980’s.

In 2008 most of the original members decided to get together for a 40th anniversary reunion at the Copenhagen Blues Festival. Back in the ‘60s they called themselves The Delta Blues & Boogie Band. Todays lineup still have Troels Jensen fronting the band with Thomas Puggaard-Müller on the side on his guitar like back in 67. Knut Henriksen is a newcomer on bass, but has during the years been a member of the band playing guitar and also Jørgen Lang – who often joined Delta Blues Band on stage in the past – is now a fullfledged member of the group. The latest addition to the band is the very skilled and widely traveled drummer Asmus Jensen.
