Gin Wigmore is happily married, living in LA and has recorded a new album, Blood To Bone, which documents the latest chapter of her life.
Gin Wigmore is determined to keep her head above water for now.
In a tumultuous couple of years, which involved walking out on an unhappy relationship and then getting hitched to someone else, relocating from Sydney to Los Angeles and using the upheaval as grist for her creative mill, the Kiwi songwriter has undergone several watery baptisms in the name of art for the release of her new album Blood To Bone.
"I had the perfect storm in my personal life to draw from when I started work on the album," Wigmore says, while sipping a cold beer and taking the last call of a busy day of interviews. "You can't always be having breakdowns. Life is a whole bunch of things. There's good, there's ups and downs, there's bad, there's ugly, there's amazing, there's awful. There's a flip side to everything. That's why I wanted the album to be boisterous and also soft and contented, which is where I am right now."
