Blue Band from Notodden, started in 1979. They were the first band from blue Notodden posing his own LP. The crew at the start was Trond Ytterbø (singing, guitar, harmonica), Jørn Pedersen (guitar), Torgeir Hefre (keyboards), Jørn Øystein Johansen (bass) and first Jan Sigurd Pettersen, then Inge Mikkelsen on drums. The band had several crews until it was dissolved in August 1985. A reunion concert spring of 1986 with the original lineup, however, gave me a taste, and since then they have had countless appearances and released a few discs.
In the 90s they also began to perform with Torhild Sivertsen from Tomboy, but it would take some years before this combination was to hear on the plate, first in 2003 came the album Soul Food with these artists together.
Notodden Blues Band has had some changes over the years, and Trond Ytterbø is the only remaining member from the original lineup. The other members are Lars Endrerud (bass), Espen Liland (guitar) and Eskild Åsland (drums). ~thank you daba d translata for the norwegian-to-english translation of the review.
