Don't get confused--the artist featured here is neither blues-rocker Kenny Wayne Shepherd nor L.A. blues singer/pianist Kenny Wayne. Rather, he's a bluesman of a different stripe, a singer with a wild, unhinged vocal style who brings country and rockabilly roots to his sound. This 1980 recording finds him backed by '80s blues flamekeepers like Joe Kubek and Anson Funderburgh, and tackling classic blues tunes with a fierce, larger-than-life approach, sounding like he might devour the band whole before the session ends. In 1980 this was an authentic surprise for all the American-Rock fans. A mixture of mixed blues, country, rockabilly and rock & roll roots, Wayne had a peculiar vocal and personal style. An album played with verve and passion, heavy with blues, rhythm & blues and soul.

Kenny Wayne (vocals); Jim Colegrove (vocals, guitar, bass guitar, hand claps, background vocals); Steve Doerr (vocals, guitar, background vocals); Darrell Nulisch (vocals, harmonica); Susan Colgrove (vocals); Jerry Abbott (guitar, piano, grand piano, bass guitar); Don Leady, Anson Funderburgh, Smokin' Joe Kubek (guitar); Johnny Reno (saxophone); Doug Rynack (piano); Ron Mason (grand piano, keyboards); Michael Bartula, Freddie Walden, Vincent Abbott (drums). Just like the two titles of Kenny Wayne's latest and previous International Critically Acclaimed albums; "THE ORIGINAL & REAL KENNY WAYNE ~ ROCKIN' LITTLE REDWATER BOY" and "BORNED WITH THE BLUES & RAISED ON ROCK 'N' ROLL" truthfully state, K.W. was literally NOT only born with the blues and raised on rock 'n' roll along with a gumbo mix of other music genres that he heard coming out of 'The Uncle Duddley Show' on KOSY-AM, 'The Circle Six Ranch Hands' on KCMC-AM Radio & TV, and 'Dave The Rave Hall's Teen Time' on KTFS-AM in Texarkana, ARK./TX., 'Wolfman Jack's Nightly R & B How'l from XERF-AM down in Del Rio,TX., 'Weird Beard' on WNOE-AM down in New Orleans' and 'Shot Gun Steve Kelly' at KEEL-AM blasting 'The Top 40 Hits'across the Shreverport, LA. line; All mixed static from the two and a half speaker in an old Montgomery Wards AM radio. One that KW's dad had hooked up to a six volt car battery serving as the family's only mode of entertainment. Because since there was no electricity, that also meant that there was no TV in his small two room house that he was born in (That's right, born in!) and not in some big city hospital like all of the other baby boomers his age. It should be noted too that Kenny Wayne's little 2 room shack of a home birth place also had no piped in city running water; and too of which, factually meant no indoor plumbing, no indoor bath/rest room, no central heat nor cold air, nor electric lighting! Thus the very tiny north east Texas country town of Redwater (Pop. 354) is where it all started!

"Ruccula for Dracula" is the nineth disc of the argentine singer, guitarist and composer.
Pardo has been touring worldwide for the last 15 years, with his own project or playing as a sideman for american Blues artists like Michael Burks, Vasti Jackson, Kenny Wayne, Jimmy Burns, Bob Stroger just to mention a few.

Rolling Stone Magazine said " Pardo reminds us of Robert Cray, Clapton or John Mayer but with a new and disctintive approach"

In this album Pardo gets back to his Blues roots after flirting with spanish original "pop" tunes in his last record " 13 formas de limpiar una sartén" (2014)

The virtuous guitarrist found an exquisite balance between the search of fresh sounds and the Blues
Pardo is joined by american legends Kenny Blues Boss Wayne, Vasti Jackson, Bob Stroger and Doug James to make this record even better.

The CD was recorded mainly at Escuela de Blues de Madrid Studios and produced entirely by Jose Luis Pardo. The artist is also the principal of the Madrid Blues School since it´s been founded in 2011

In this new recording, 35 years old Pardo, shows his unique and personal approach to the guitar playing that mixes influences from Mississippi John Hurt to Al Greeny, from Jimmie Vaughan to James Brown and everything in between.
