"It's a Riot! Rock with the Brothers!" BRIAN MAY - Queen

"... fiery driving rock and blues - the four piece really give it their all ..." ADRIAN BLACKLEE - Blues Review

THE RIOTOUS BROTHERS are MASH SONNET - Vocals, Guitars, Harmonica , PAUL LONG - Vocals, Keyboards, MAT LAKE - Bass, Vocals, DIRK MAGGS - Drums, Vocals.

The band's new CD is the all-original SHOUT IT OUT, fourteen off-the-wall compositions including visceral rockers, eclectic blues and cool funk. In tearing up the rulebook THE RIOTOUS BROTHERS have road tested material from Portsmouth, England to Florida USA to the French Pyrenees before writing and producing this, their mission statement - SHOUT IT OUT.

Guesting with the band are PAUL JONES on harmonica (Blues Band, Manfred Mann) and JOE LALA on percussion (Joe Walsh, Crosby Stills, & Nash), as well as a string quartet and pedal steel guitar!

Flavoured with funk, psychobilly, new country and influences from Stevie Ray to the Stones - via Little Walter and Little Feat - SHOUT IT OUT blasts out of the gate just like the band's live shows, which reflect their long experience sharing stages and lifting audiences with Jon Cleary, Wilko Johnson, Matt Schofield and Lightnin’ Willie and the Poor Boys.

Whether you want to get up and dance, get down and groove, or just chill, The Riotous Brothers are welcome proof that British Blues is moving forward, not looking back.

The Riotous Brothers are proud to release their third album, THE TREE, a tight and compelling song collection comprising ten originals from songwriters Mash Sonnet and Paul Long, cementing the band's reputation for growing exciting new shoots from the roots of the blues.

THE TREE follows on from the band's acclaimed 2011 release SHOUT IT OUT and continues in that confident direction, clearly evolving the band's breadth and style without compromising their deep-felt love for the blues, evidenced by the presence of special guest Paul Jones, playing virtuoso harmonica on 'Me And You’.

From exhilarating rockers like the opening track ‘Now More Than Ever', THE TREE features hard-felt blues ('Fever'), expressive R&B ballads (‘Memory Of Our Love’) and stark emotional pleas (‘I Wanna Know'). For epic scale, the mountainous ‘Proving Too Hard’ leaves the listener in no doubt about the band's love of musical adventure.

The Riotous Brothers band members possess a unique track record in both performance and production, but together, with THE TREE, they are once again seriously raising the bar.
