Once described as ‘the best kept secret in British blues’ Denny Newman and his band ‘The Regulators’ will be touring soon. Their brand of blues/rock leans towards jazz using Denny’s catalogue of original songs as the basis for improvised instrumental passages. His Chicago style blues guitar duelling perfectly with Max Middleton’s fluid keyboards. The band, Denny, guitar and vocals, Max, keyboards, Scott Newman, bass and vocals, and John Lingwood, drums, have an impressive history which includes work with Manfred Mann, Jeff Beck, Chris Rea, East of Eden and former Rolling Stone, Mick Taylor. They will perform material from the four Denny Newman albums released.
