Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Roosevelt Jackson (Roo) has performed as a premier blues artist throughout Chicago for nearly 20 years. He can be seen at such venues as: Rosa's, Kingston Mine's, Blues on Halstead, House of Blues, Buddy Guy's, the Columbia Yacht Club, Merchandise Mart on Franklin, Couzin's, the Firehouse, the Chicago Blues Festival, and many other stages.
The Street Jaxkson band, with Roo as frontman, was formed in 2012. They recently placed 3rd in the "Windy City Blues Society" competition, establishing the Street Jaxkson band as one of the most promisingly original blues ensembles throughout the midwest.
