Shufflin’ The Blues, released on September 23/16 is the 4th recording but only the 3rd official release from this duo. Their previous release, 1929: The Summit Sessions drew rave reviews and won best acoustic blues album categories in 2012. A review from Blues In Britain magazine, by Morgan Hogarth, stated: “Such is the quality of the original songs, that you could be forgiven for thinking that old classics had been unearthed”.

Formerly known as Holly and Jon and billing themselves as primarily an acoustic act, Holly Hyatt and Jon Burden have chosen to showcase the electric side of their music with this album. By plugging their instruments in and adding a percussionist, the sound of the duo leans more towards that of the West side Chicago blues trio’s of the early 60’s (Otis Rush, Magic Sam and Freddie King). Recorded LIVE in front of an intimate audience, the result is a 9 song tour de’ force that pays tribute to Chicago blues, Delta blues and home style, original blues.

Holly Hyatt and Jon Burden are based out of southern British Columbia, Canada and work as an acoustic duo or electric trio. They have played on shows with Harry Manx, David Gogo, Paul Reddick, Jeff Healey, Colin James, Jim Byrnes, Ruthie Forster, Sonny Rhodes, Rita Chiarelli and Leon Russell.
