The Groovin 'Flamingos is an amazing combination of Soul, Rn'B, Boogaloo, Hammond Grooves and Funk, sprinkled with a few drops of Garage, Surf and Ye-yé's rhythms, with nods to Spanish and Italian cinema music of the sixties and seventy. An explosive cocktail for an avid audience of frantic dancing, strong emotions and melodies executed with a devastating forcefulness. On many occasions, The Groovin 'Flamingos are joined by the superlative voices of The WaterBottles Vocal Trio, the good work of the Groovie Horns (sax, flute, trumpet and sometimes trombone) and the talent of Edu Jerez at the percussions ... to make each performance a unique occasion, a sweaty dance session and a lysergic feast of the senses.
The band is composed by Juan Carlos Gómez "Gofer" on guitar and vocals, Eulogio "Yoyo" Bey on drums, Miguel "Miki" Hernández III on bass and Kike Blanco on Hammond organ, all of them with extensive experience in recordings, festivals and live performances. The WaterBottles Vocal Trio is made up of Susana Rubio, Blanca de la Plaza and Txato Martín. The Groovie Horns are Javier García Olmedillas, Juanan Rivas and Coco Constanzo.
