The historical group known as Big Fat Mama started in 1979 from an idea of Piero De Luca, still the only proprietor of the band’s name. One of the earliest versions was Piero De Luca (bass and vocals), Carlo Ratto (vocals and acoustic guitar), Maurizio Renda (electric guitar and vocals) and Giampiero Esposito (drums)

In its thirty-year experience, the group has so far recorded eight LPs or CDs and has played throughout Europe and in all the most important Italian festivals, (was the opening act for Johnny Winter’s concert at the Milan Blues Festival, for Stevie Ray Vaughan and Los Lobos at the Palatrussardi Arena). They also shared the stage with legends like Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Clifton Chenier Jr, Honeyboy Edwards, Legendary Blues Band, Jimmy Rogers, B. B. King, Blues Brothers Band, Albert Collins, James Cotton, Magic Slim, Sherman Robertson, Little Willie Littlefield and touring across Europe along with outstanding artists such as Louisiana Red, Eddie C. Campbell, Johnny Mars, Zora Young, J. Monque-D, and Michael Coleman.

Wer sich hier wen geangelt hat, ist unklar. Sowohl die Herren Ballroomshakers als auch die Dame Jenny Boneja behaupten das von sich. Jedenfalls haben sie geduldig aufeinander gewartet und dann, nach zehn Jahren Ballroomshakers war es soweit: Gesehen, gehört, zusammengefunden und sodann live bewiesen, dass sich die Geduld ge‐lohnt hat. Kein Wunder, denn beide pflegen die selbe Leidenschaft: Sie frönen dem Style der 40er und 50er: Rhythm & Blues. Das war damals, als nach dem Krieg die schweren Big Band-Dampfer von denpfeilschnellen und wendigen "Small Groups" abgelöst wurden. Als überbordende Lebensfreude in ein neues Zeitalter aufbrach und am Horizont schon der Rock'n'Roll zu erkennen war. Jeder einzelne Musiker zählte nun, ob Solist oder SängerIn, und brachte Persönlichkeit und Stil ein. Manche Nummern wurden von der Schnelllebigkeit bald hinweggespült, andere wurden zu Hits, die die Jahrzehnte überdauerten.

Jean-Jacques Milteau has travelled many different roads in both the geographical and musical sense of the term. From China to South Africa, from Nashville to New Orleans, or Ireland to Mexico, he is a musician whose curiosity knows no limits ; he’s forever searching for new encounters, open to others, ready for every new musical experience that might cross his path.

Audiences, critics, and blues lovers all over North America and Europe seem to agree.

Diana Braithwaite is a descendant of the Wellington County pioneers in Canada. With roots in Florida, Dianas ancestors escaped slavery through the Underground Railroad and lived for four generations in Wellington County, the first African-Canadian pioneer settlement in Ontario. Diana combines elements from Nina Simone, Esther Phillips, Lil Green and others to create her own unique authentic blues style. A forceful presence recognized on the Canadian and American blues scene as an artist with a unique sound who is keeping the authentic traditional blues sound alive in the contemporary blues scene today.

Multi-Instrumentalist Chris Whiteley was born in Kansas . Whiteley has performed on over 200 recordings with the likes of Leon Redbone and Blind John Davis. In Canada, Whiteley has received the Blues with a Feeling Award, for lifetime achievement in the blues. In January 2014 Chris Whiteley won the Maple Blues Award for the top blues horn player in Canada--for the 7th time.

Diana Braithwaite and Chris Whiteley have recorded 5 previous albums together with Electro-Fi Records and have toured all over North America , UK and Europe winning numerous awards for their songwriting and albums together.

Bob Thiele launched Bluestime in 1969 with the express purpose of recording many of his heroes, including Big Joe Turner, who cut the LP The Real Boss of the Blues that year. Turner was roughly 13 years removed from his peak and certainly willing to do whatever it took to get back in the studio and maybe the charts, so he followed producer Thiele through Gene Page arrangements that updated his classic jumpers of the '50s.

The big band is diminished - there is a horn section but nothing approaching an orchestra - and he's paired with a blues-rock combo whose members love and respect the form but are more than willing to follow the fashion of the time, laying back into the grooves (this isn't music meant for dancing, it's for listening) and allowing plenty of space for solos, including an extended flute fantasia on "Careless Love," a move that dates this record as much as anything else.

If Turner seems indifferent to these extended instrumental sections, blame it on a production where he's placed at the forefront while he's at the microphone and then the band is shoved in front. Perhaps this doesn't give The Real Boss of the Blues the kineticism of his classic Atlantic recordings but it's evenhanded and showcases both sides equally.

Unlike the similar Chess records of the time, there's never the sense that the band overpowers Turner - admittedly, overpowering Big Joe would be a difficult task - and the rock fluidity of his backing band accidentally reveals that he's a subtler singer than often given credit; witness "Two Loves Have I," the rare contemporary piece here that is breezy and engaging, and also shows that he could navigate the waters of post-Motown R&B if he chose. He didn't, of course; he stuck to his shouting and that sounds good with the lively if slightly anonymous outfit he has here. It's not vintage Turner but it's worthy: it's one of the rare late-'60s blues LPs that feels of its time yet is connected to the past.

Ace's 2014 reissue includes live readings of "Honey Hush" and "Yakety Yak," which isn't the Coasters song but a reworking of "Honey Hush"; taken from the Super Black Blues, Vol. 2 LP, both are solid, but not as lively or interesting as the music on the album proper. /Stephen Thomas Erlewine, AllMusic

Calvin Frazier was not only influenced by Robert Johnson, but he also played with Johnson in the early 1930s. Frazier used a steel-bodied Resophonic National guitar for picking, strumming and sliding the strings. On several pieces he used a metal slider. In 1938 Alan Lomax spent ten days in Detroit to record and collect many different types of music. The only English language songs he picked up were these Frazier sides. Together with Sampson Pittman, these sides are one of the earliest blues recodings made in Detroit. Calvin Frazier was born in 1915 in Osceola in the Arkansas Delta. Lack of economic opportunities, the family moved to Memphis in 1923. Almost all of the members of the Frazier family played an instrument and they performed as a string band, but only for religious purposes. They belonged to the Church of God in Christ and forbade its members to play blues. But Calvin and his brother Johnny played the blues on street corners, at house rent parties, juke houses and barrelhouses to make some money. They also played frequently with their cousin Johnny Shines in the black section of Memphis. Calvin also came into contact with boogie woogie pianist Speckled Red (Rufus Perryman). It was from him that Calvin would learn 'The Dirty Dozens". Frazier also made frequent appearances on KLCN radio show in nearby Blytheville. It was on one of these trips that Calvin came into contact with Sampson Pittmann. In 1935 Calvin and his brother Johnny were involved in a shooting. Johnny was killed and Calvin ended up in hospital. Two of their opponents were death and Calvin headed for Chicago to escape from prosecution (according to interviews with Johnny Shines, he and Robert Johnson accompenied Calvin to Chicago). In Detroit Calvin met and married Francis Dunlap, a cousin of Shines. The couple settled on Detroit's East Side and Frazier made his money mostly outside of music, but playing in clubs on Hastings Street to supplement his income. In the 1950s, Calvin made commercial recordings for independent Detroit labels. These were very different from the Library of Congress recordings, because now he was playing in combos and with an electric guitar. Calvin Frazier remained in Detroit until his death in 1972.

What does a woman do when she gets the blues? If she is blues wizard Rory Block, she gets out her guitar and starts singing and playing until her spirits lift. That is exactly what she does on this 1995 Rounder recording. The CD features her son, Jordan Block Valdina, on vocals with her, along with Annie Raines on harmonica and Warren Bernhardt on piano and harmonica.

Together, they reach back in time for some tried-and-true blues, as well as one original from the pen of the blues diva. "Take My Heart Away" is Block's own contribution to the recording, which won her a W.C. Handy award in 1996 for Best Traditional Blues Album. The jury was impressed with her form on songs that like Blind Willie McTell's "T'aint Long for Day," which sounds as fresh as when it was first recorded over half a century ago.

Block's unique voice shines on a cappella pieces, such as "Sweet Sunny South" and "Be Ready When He Comes." The latter is a beautiful gospel tune which finds mother and son harmonizing and trading leads. As sonorous and sweet as some of the cuts are, others are hard-driving country blues. Block gets in a scorching cover of Son House's "Preaching Blues" and turns plaintive on "Tallahatchie Blues" and "Peavine Blues," then bitter for "Joliet Blues." "Nemám Hlad, Nemám Smäd" (I'm not hungry, I'm not thirsty) - a new album by the two Slovak bluesmen Lubos Bena and Bonzo Radvanyi has been recently released on the Czech Indies Happy Trials Records Publishing label. The new album is a collection of mostly Lubos Bena and Bonzo's original tunes, sung in Slovak and English, supplemented with a few well-known blues standards. The album was recorded as was usual in the old days - all live, in one session and mostly in one take. Simply, "one two three four and go". The album's cover and inserted booklet are interwoven with black and white photographs, songs lyrics, info about the musicians, as well as about a history of the resophonic guitar and its inventor.

In spite of the "mini" personnel of just the two musicians involved, the new album offers a wide variety of music. It contains not the typical twelve-bar blues only. In individual pieces you can hear different harmonies, rhythms, moods and even blues styles. Lubos Bena has capitalized on his experience of traveling around Mississippi Delta and besides the resophonic guitar he plays at the same time also on a reduced drum kit. On top of that, he has recorded on the album all the rhythms parts, washboard, resophonic guitar, a special guitar made of gas can, electric Fender Telecaster guitar. In the last album's tune he "plays" even the sound of the famous Slovak Pine Brandy bottles... On the other hand, Bonzo Radvanyi, who is a more blues-rock oriented musician,has recorded all the vocals and enriched the album with some harmonica and kazoo solos. Beside the two mentioned musicians, in a couple of tunes the album features also Hammond organist Mike Kramir, who used to play with Bonzo Radvanyi in a legendary Slovak beat group The Breakers, back in the 6Os.

Lubos Bena and Bonzo Radvanyi are the best-known resophonic guitars promoters over here. Not only they play these instruments, but they also live in the part of Slovakia where John Dopyera was born. They both have several times also personally met with the family of John Dopyera. By the way, the new CD album is dedicated to the memory of this Slovak born inventor of resophonic guitar, whose 120th birth anniversary will be commemorated in July next year. Besides, in January 2013 we will also mark the 25th anniversary of his death.

This is the ninth release by acclaimed German pianist hailing from the back street down town honky tonk area of Cologne and is affectionately known as the Westfaila boogie king. This is a seventeen track release of old classic blues numbers such as the surprising take on Going Up The Country mixed in with self written tunes such as the first exuberant taster track Boogie Woogie On A Riff the riff in particular being played in combination with his guitarist Amandus Grund who also co-wrote Blues At Night a laid back number and also the up-tempo instrumental TNT Swing with a noted interplay between piano and guitar. The other band member is lead singer Romani Drombrowski and at times it is hard to think the band is a trio as the overall sound has great depth in it. The energy and enthusiasm of such a talented piano player is quite astounding at times. No more so than on his own composition Rocking For Jimmy showcasing differing styles and yes definitely getting the balance right between boogie woogie and blues. To top things off are the sultry velvety vocals on the sassy Your Heart Is As Black As Night and the soft interpretation of I Just Wanna Make Love To You gives a coolness effect and conjures up images of smoke filled jazz clubs certainly intrigued to see them play live. Today, Chuck Willis is rightly acknowledged as a breakthrough pioneer of R&B who, after a few years of R&B only chart hits suddenly broke through to the pop market with five hits between 1957 and 1958. "It's Too Late" was a hit for Chuck in 1956 and proved instantly popular with other R&B stars as well as pop stars generating recordings from Buddy Holly, Eric Clapton, Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich (featured here), Otis Redding and many others including most recently Kanye West who used a sample of Otis Redding's version of the song "It's Too Late" on his multi-platinum album 'Late Registration' for the track "Gone". Chuck Willis was a real singer/songwriter before the description was ever used and this superb 2CD set from Jasmine is a fitting testimonial to Chuck's immense talent.

Vocalist/harmonicaplayer Big George Jackson was born November 16, 1949 and in the Twin Cities he is known as the Authentic big man of the blues. He sings with a distinctive bass-rich voice only a six-foot, six inch gentle giant could be blessed with. Add his fat harmonica playing, dead-on phrasing, commanding stage-presence and instant audience rapport and it’s easy to understand why the audience howl when he delivers his music.

The band features two great guitarists: Jeremy Johnson (formely with Mischo) and Phil Schmid (formely with Lynwood Slim) combine tough-as-nails interplay that can alternate between being greasy, swinging and raunchy The band writes its own music, with lyrics written by Big George and they also cover songs by Jimmy Reed, Walter Hornton, Muddy Waters and Big Leon Brooks. In 1998 the band released a CD Beggin Ain’t for Me on Black and Tan Records and in 2001 their second Black and Tan CD. The CD is titled Big Shot. Critics praised Big George’s CD for originality and welcome sense of humor. The Big George Jackson Band is considered to be a great up and coming band and is developing a fast growing following in spite of the incredibly competitive live music scene.

Big George has been working for Minnesgasco, the local gas company in Minneapolis. He has raised six children while pursuing his night-time career as a blues musician. His first european tour took place in November >99 and it was a huge success. Most of the venues had a large crowd and at the bluesfestivals in Luzern (Switzerland) and Unna (Germany) Big George proved to be one of the surprises of the event. During their european tour in April/May 2000 the band performed at he Moulin Blues Festival in Ospel (NL) and at the bluesfestivals of Silkeborg and Odense (DK). The band did two more succesfull european tours in March and November 2001. On the last tour they performed on the Lucerne Blues Festival (CH) and on the Blues Estafette (NL), two of the major blues events in Europe. They also did a live show on national Dutch tv.

In 2002 they performed at the Belgian Rhythm & Blues Festival in Peer (Belgium) and the Colne Bluesfestival in the UK and in 2003 they played at the International Jazzfestival in Montreal (Canada) and Nancy Jazz Pulsations (France). In October 2003 they released their third CD (Southern In My Soul) for Black and Tan Records.

Mudbone tells the story of American music one song at a time. His performances reach a broad audience by taking them on a journey from the late 19th century when bluegrass met the blues, through the country, soul, funk, and rock & roll of the 20th century.

He was born near the Black River in Northeast Arkansas. That river is the dividing line between the Mississippi River Delta and the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. The eastern banks were a playground for the blues. It is the cradle of the blues, and home to some of the world’s finest bluesmen. The western banks were an education in old-time country, bluegrass and mountain music. Tiny isolated pockets, within the Ozark Mountain hollows, offered an array of different mountain sounds and stories.

He grew up the musical legacy of a gospel/bluegrass family who saw fit to be baptized in Muddy Waters. He spent his adolescence riding a greyhound bus, guitar in hand, through the gates of Memphis, Tennessee down highway 49 into the cradle of the blues playing honkytonks and juke joints all over the delta. Having immersed himself in not only the musicality of the blues, but in the history of it as well he sat out on a path of learning. His teachers were bluesmen who had been taught to play the blues by the men that had created it, such as Son House and B.B. King. Their stories were an education that can’t be bought.

Although he had immersed himself in his blues education, the sounds of the mountains never left his soul. Early in life, his family traveled all over the mid-south singing gospel music for tips, or “love offerings”, and occasionally opening for internationally touring gospel acts. His mother’s family did the same but rather than touring as a gospel quartet, they played Bill Monroe’s brand of bluegrass. His uncle would come to visit and bring his banjo. That was not what George Thorogood & The Destroyers expected from their Rockpalast show on 26th November 1980 at Westfalenhalle in Dortmund. Starting with the third song of the concert, the Willie Dixon tune I'm Wanted, the audience - having been rather reserved at first - was asked by the American singer and guitarist to participate. The space in front of the stage was empty, so Thorogood wanted to motivate the crowd to get up and dance. Some fans followed his invitation, so that at the end of the regular show there was quite a party. With the encore then the whole thing went a little astray, when our sax player Hank Carter announced in broken German that we would like to see more dancers. But when Carter said: ,Kommen Sie hierher, kommen Sie!' the people thought they should get on the stage., Thorogood smirks about this small misunderstanding. There was quite a scramble between the musicians ending in a chaotic but peaceful stage happening. It wasn't exactly what we were looking for, but we went with it and had a great time! George Thorogood & The Destroyers were founded 1973 in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. The Satan of Slide, as the adept guitarist was called by the international press because of his superb skills with the bottleneck, mixes urban blues, rock 'n' roll and rhythm & blues in his play. He developed a program with songs of prestigious role models like Elmore James, John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley or Chuck Berry. If you want to hear a slide guitar as it was intended by its inventor, with Thorogood you are on the right track, an American critic certified, and his colleagues agreed that Thorogood needs to be mentioned in the same breath with Johnny Winter or Rory Gallagher.

Vance Kelly & His Backstreet Blues Band - 2 albums: Bluebird / What Three Old Ladies Can Do

Vance Kelly was born on January 24, 1954, to Andrew and Lorine Kelly who had moved to Chicago from Missouri and Mississippi. In the early 1960’s the couple had noticed that their son was developing an interest in music and they presented him with his first guitar when he was seven years old. Vance became proficient with the guitar after a short period of practice never taking one professional lesson. Vance introduction to the blues as a musical form came in the early 60’s, when he sat at the feet of his uncle, mechanic and part-time blues musician, LeRoy McCauley. Vance’s father Andrew Kelly" and siblings( The Kelly Brothers) however were R&B singers in the late 50's and 60's, later turned gospel singers and musicians and his father and mother encouraged him to play that form of music. Vance did for a short while but his ear and interest for playing the blues became more inevitable. Vance played his first blues performance at the age of ten at a Chicago city school and there he was noticed by west side singer Mary Lane, who saw a promising talent in the boy’s playing. When he turned fifteen, Mary asked Vance to sit in on one of her performances on the west side of Chicago. Vance counts Mary Lane among his important teachers, as well as Chicago’s Buddy Scott and Johnny Christian. His influences include B.B. King, Albert Collins and Howling Wolf.

Jan Preston - 2 albums: The Cool Boogie Woogie / My Room Of Pianos

I was born in Greymouth on the remote West Coast of the South Island of NZ. Our family had little resources or opportunity, but I grew up in an era where people would gather around the piano and sing together. From when I was very young I played piano while everybody sang along or played tea chest basses, eggbeaters, combs, violins, even an old saxophone.

I had an Auntie who played honky tonk style, and heard Winifred Atwell along with early rock n roll on our old Columbus Radio in the kitchen. Playing piano from the moment I could reach the keys, and being spurred on by my older sister and brother who both played, I studied classical very seriously, becoming a star student, passing all my grades with distinction and gaining a very prestigious place (one of 4 students from the whole of NZ) to study a 5 year classical piano degree at Auckland University. Although I loved classical music, by the end of the degree I wasn’t happy to be a concert pianist or, more likely, a piano teacher. So I cut off my hair, and moved to Wellington where I experimented with different styles of music, working in an independent theatre group and then rock bands.

In 1980 my band, “Coup D’Etat” had a No. 1 hit with the song “Doctor I Like Your Medicine”, after which I moved across the Tasman to Sydney, playing in bands and piano bars as well as writing music for films. It was some years later before I found my own voice, as a boogie piano player and songwriter. So here I am, still resident in Sydney, but constantly touring to play festivals, concerts and shows around the world, (even a recent trip to China), and I am grateful for the success and musical path I have found. I am still enormously passionate about music and have so much more to play, sing and write!

Many musicians claim that they “grew up in the church,” but for Robert Randolph that is literally the case. The renowned pedal steel guitarist, vocalist and songwriter led such a cloistered childhood and adolescence that he heard no secular music while growing up. If it wasn’t being played inside of the House of God Church in Orange, New Jersey—quite often by Robert and members of his own family, who upheld a long but little known gospel music tradition called sacred steel—Randolph simply didn’t know it existed. Which makes it all the more remarkable that the leader of Robert Randolph and the Family Band—whose label debut for Sony Masterworks, Got Soul, will be released on Feb. 17, 2017—is today an inspiration to the likes of Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana and Derek Trucks, all of whom have played with him and studied his technique. It wasn’t until he was out of his teens that Randolph broke away from the confines of his social and musical conditioning and discovered rock, funk, soul, jazz and the jam band scene, soon forging his own sound by fusing elements of those genres.

“It was all church music. It was a movement within our church and that’s all we used to do,” says Randolph of the sacred steel music he played at the time, music whose association with his church stretches back to the 1920s. Once Randolph began to discover other forms of music, he saw how they were all connected, and was eager to find his own place. “All music is related. Gospel is the same as blues,” he says. “The only thing that changes is in hardcore gospel people are singing about God and Jesus and in the blues people are singing about ‘my baby left me’ and whiskey. When we first started out, guys really weren’t allowed to leave the church. I was the one that stepped out and started this thing. My dad would say, ‘Why do you come home smelling like beer and cigarettes?’ ‘Well, we just got done playing some smoky club till 2 a.m.!’ It was all foreign and different.”

By the early 2000s, Randolph had begun applying his dazzling steel guitar technique to secular music, and from that grew the Family Band. The group’s sound was so different than anything else around that they were soon packing New York City clubs. Their first album, 2002’s Live at the Wetlands, was recorded at the now defunct jam band haven, and was followed by four studio albums and another live set, each widening the band’s audience—they’ve long been regulars on the festival circuit—and broadening their stylistic range as well.

“Things happened really fast,” Randolph says now. “When I look back on that time, to be honest, I had no idea what the hell we were doing. We’d get told, ‘You guys are going on tour with Eric Clapton.’ ‘Oh, OK.’ I thought, this guy must not have a clue who I am but the first time I met him we talked for about an hour and played music backstage.” The Family Band’s improvisational skills quickly made them mega-popular among the jam-band crowd, but for Randolph and his band mates, what they were doing was just an extension of what they’d always done. “The jam band scene has that name but it’s really a true music art form scene where you can just be who you are,” Randolph says. “We fit in that category in some sense but the jam band scene itself has changed a lot since that time. I’ve grown to like songs and I like to jam within the song.”

On Got Soul, Robert Randolph and the Family Band walk that line deftly, displaying their virtuosity within the context of a dozen smartly crafted tunes. “I like both playing live and recording,” says Randolph. “The thing about a record is you get a chance to rehearse parts and fine-tune things. But if you look at most great music artists—people like Stevie Wonder—the song is totally different from the show. When you’re in the studio, it’s hard to improvise without an audience. But for us, well, we’ve been playing in front of audiences our whole lives.”

From the plains of North Dakota, USA, Blues-Rock artist Jennifer Lyn is gaining attention from a rapidly growing regional, national, and international fan base for her original music. Her songs are being described with words such as "raw, powerful, and soulful". Fans describe her voice as a mix of Susan Tedeschi and Bonnie Raitt, which Jennifer finds humbling as both have been her influences. Produced by international recording artist Richard Torrance, and mixed/mastered by Grammy nominated engineer David Swenson, the album was released and immediately gained traction within the Blues and Blues-Rock communities.

Jennifer strives to positively represent both independent artists and the Blues-Rock genre alike. She looks to expand her audience to capture and entertain those who appreciate guitar driven music and she also enjoys the idea of taking her fans along for the ride as she progresses as an artist. She hopes to increase awareness and nurture the love people have for the Blues genre. Hammond B-3 blues organist Tony Z was long a fixture on the New England blues club circuit, and for two years as part of Boston-area guitarist Ronnie Earl's touring band, the Broadcasters.

Born and raised in Boston, Tony Zamagni began playing organ at St. Patrick's School in Roxbury. He cut his musical teeth with the Boston band Combat Zone and then went on to play with the Platters for the next ten years. He spent most of the latter part of the 1980s trying to organize his own touring band (no small feat) and working as a session player in Miami for TK Records, where he recorded an LP with the group Miami. After meeting Ronnie Earl through a mutual friend, trumpeter Bob Enos, Zamagni teamed up with the guitarist and joined his road band, the Broadcasters, from 1989 to 1991.

In 1991, Zamagni moved to Chicago, where he worked for three years with guitarist Larry McCray and found work as a session musician on albums by Son Seals, Saffire, Little Smokey Smothers and Lee "Shot" Williams. Zamagni's debut album, Get Down With the Blues, was released on Rounder's Tone-Cool subsidiary in 1995. The outing is first-class, self-produced in Chicago's Streeterville Studios with some stellar backing musicians: former Roomful of Blues guitarist Duke Robillard, drummer Bernard "Pretty" Purdie, saxophonist Houston Person, harmonica master Sugar Blue and former Albert Collins band bassist Johnny B. Gayden. Buddy Guy was so impressed by Get Down With the Blues that he hired Tony Z to tour with him. In 1998, Tony Z released his second record for Tone Cool, Kiss My Blues. The record featured another all-star cast including Cornell Dupree on guitar, Bernard "Pretty" Purdie on drums again, Chuck Rainey on bass, Lenny Pickett on sax and Kim Wilson blowing harp on two tracks.
