Guitarist, composer and producer whose work is associated with the bands Mamá-Z and Las Demoiselles d'Avignon. He was born on August 29, 1956 in Mexico City.
Founding member of this band that, during the boom of rock in Spanish in the 80s, performed in practically all the forums of the rock scene of that time (Rockotitlán, Tuttifrutti, El 9, Rock Stock, El Alicia, etc.), at national festivals and university events.
He was the founder, songwriter, and leader of this blues band from 2000 to 2019. During this period, they became the resident group of the iconic Ruta 61 space in Mexico City, where they played for thirteen years.?
Octavio describes his style as "eclectic blues," where the aesthetics of blues, rock, and jazz interact constantly. Among his musical influences are artists as diverse as B.B. King, Lightnin' Hopkins, Jimi Hendrix, and The Beatles. The lyrics of their songs seek to break the stereotypes with which concepts such as love, life and death are traditionally approached.
