After more than two decades on the road, over 1,300 concerts, countless international tours, and a dozen awards attesting to their excellence, Travellin' Brothers has reaffirmed its position as one of the most solid and respected bands on the European scene. In 2023 and 2024, the band celebrated its 20th anniversary, and as a culmination of this milestone they are taking a bold and exciting step: the reactivation of their big band format, inactive for a decade, to present their eleventh studio album.
A career as long as that of Travellin' Brothers is built on an unusual and powerful fact: having maintained the same lineup since its founding. This cohesion and musical understanding is the driving force that allows them to tackle projects of the magnitude of a big band. The album stems from a desire to revive the spectacular nature of their big band formation. It's a work that reinterprets original songs previously recorded by the band, elevating them to a new dimension with arrangements created specifically for big band.
New this year are covers of songs that inspire the band, treated with the same care and with original arrangements that perfectly integrate them into their sound universe. The album "Back In Business" is a testament to the maturity and absolute mastery that Travellin' Brothers have over their sound. Leveraging this experience, the band opted for in-house production, recording the entire album at their own Hell Kitchen Studios, thus ensuring complete creative control over the final result.
Personnel: Jon Careaga (vocals); Aitor Cañibano (guitar, backing vocals); Eneko Cañibano (bass); Isi Redondo (drums, percussion); Alain Sancho (saxophone, backing vocals); Mikel Azpiroz (keyboards).
