When some lifelong friends from Pierre Part got together and started jamming in the shed they never really thought it would be anything other than fun.
That jamming in the shed eventually turned into gigs where it seemed that they had something a little different and people liked it.
They had taken the music they loved (swamp pop, zydeco, Cajun, even some rock-n-roll with a Cajun flavor) and kicked it up about 10 notches.
The band wanted to keep the people on the dance floor and it worked, quickly making a name for themselves as one of the top Cajun dance bands.
South 70 has been keeping audiences on the dance floor all over La, MS and even TN.
In 2011 they recorded their first album, “Straight out da Shed,” which rose to the top with hits such as Daddy Let me Paint Your Nails and As I lie Here Here.
The band recorded their 2nd album, “All Grown UP” in 2014 on BSE Records and proved once again they truly know how to make your feet move.
