Her first gig was as a back up singer with Sheila Charles, Ray Charles daughter, continuing with other great resident Minneapolis musicians; Morris Hayes (Prince), Willy Murphy, Preston Reed and others. The past 6 years, Sofie’s toured extensively as an international ‘one woman band’ with stomp-box, dulcimer, lap steel, harmonica, and her heartfelt voice and charismatic charm. Memphis born bass player Russell Jackson is a legend of the 70's Chicago blues scene working with the likes of B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Bobby Rush, Charlie Musselwhite, Willie Nelson and others. He toured exclusively with B.B. King from 1979-1986, recording five live album, including one on which he recorded the first slap bass on a live blues recording.
