Kid Colling is a Colombian-Luxembourgish singer-songwriter and guitarist. From an early age he was drawn by the magical sounds of the Mississippi blues and the rhythm and swing of the big bands: the blues had touched his soul. At age 16, he got his first guitar and immediately knew that music will be his life. Colling is a graduate from the American School of Modern Music in Paris where he discovered jazz music and learned from such greats as Peter Giron, Rick Margitza, Manuel Rocheman or Christopher Culpo. Colling is constantly looking for collaborations and projects in order to broaden his musical horizons. After singing with Marly Marques in a rhythm & blues band and playing the guitar for the harmonica player Dave White, he works since 2014 with the American folkblues singer Ilene Barnes.

Carlos Elliot Jr. has been playing music around in his country since he’s been 13 years old but it was just when he started to play in Delta Juke Joints and Backyard House Blues parties in Mississippi when he got this beat style, hypnotically rhythmic. After a couple of times travelling in quest for Blues roots, it led him all the way up to North Mississippi where he fell under the spell of local Blues playing with Blues legends with whom he learnt and lived in their own culture, permeating their musical expression and primitive Hill Country Blues tradition.

“The Cornlickers”, are the house band at Red's Lounge - the most historic and famous Juke Joint Blues club in the world - located in Clarksdale, Mississippi and the last band of the legendary bluesman Big Jack Johnson (One of the Jelly Roll Kings back in the 60’s). They have been playing with other local Blues legends too like Cadillac John Nolden, Big T Williams & Terry Harmonica Bean. This record was made at “Right coast Recording Studio” State-of-the-art vintage recording. Producer was Bobby Gentilo (From The Cornlickers), with the presence of Dave Natale (Rolling Stones sound engineer for 25 years now) and Dave Wilkerson (YES sound engineer for 23 years now). It was made in the old vintage way, on magnetic tape and analog process, there wasn’t even a single digital process made except for the final analog to digital conversion. It has this Mystic Juke Joint Blues Party Sound, It ain’t commercial at all, so probably you will like it!

The "Eje cafetero" or Coffee Belt, is the region in the middle of the coffee crops in Colombia and is one of the most rich and diverse regions in Colombia not just its nature but also culturally; this is the land of Carlos Elliot, who for fourth time returns to the studio, this time again in the USA to materialize the same feeling that has inspired many before him. Along with producer and guitarist Bobby Gentilo, they managed to gather the legacy of a wealthy land and a track list with a new dancing rhythm that will take the audience on a trip to a place full of mountains, rivers and soul.

The only name that could describe this new record was: “Del Otún y el Mississippi”, It's the joyful rhythm in Hill Country Blues and the traditions that Elliot adopted from North Mississippi near rivers and hills where he permeated his expression. These experiences were the base to tell the stories in songs. He got to know about a land and a culture that is not that different from that which he shares with his people in Pereira, near to the Otún river.

Native from Colombian hills, Carlos Elliot Jr. is a Bluesman inspired by the Mississippi Hill Country Blues but with a unique sound that blends the beat of rural dance music of north Mississippi, his backgrounds along with some African & Latin American music essence. All condensed in the “Power Blues Duo”, the beat machine that incites you to party and dancing ritual.

He has experienced and lived the Blues right where it was born, playing with local legends. Through these, Carlos managed to permeate his already rich and diverse Colombian musical and cultural roots with the power and the deep spiritual feeling of Blues music.

After his second record “Mystic Juke-Joint Blues” created in the heart of Mississippi with his U.S. based band The Cornlickers, last band of the legendary Bluesman Big Jack Johnson, Carlos is promoting his new record “RAISE THE FIRE AMERICA” as ‘Power Blues Duo’. it shows a strong connection between the rhythm and melody, inspired by the north Mississippi hill Country Blues, the Drums and Fife and some kind of fusions of Afro and Latino American rhythms.

Carlos lives in Colombia, plays the guitar and fife as the pioneer of the Hill Country Blues in South America. He keeps touring and participating in the North and South America scene.

Native from Colombian hills, Carlos Elliot Jr. is a Bluesman who has been inspired by the Mississippi Hill Country Blues and heritage found in African and Latin American music. Sensitive to the need to promote the preservation of ‘Mother Earth’ and ancient traditions, Carlos plays guitar and fife as the pioneer of the Hill Country Blues in South America.

He has experienced and lived the Blues right where it was born, playing with local legends. Through these, Carlos managed to permeate his already rich and diverse Colombian cultural roots with the power and the deep spiritual feeling of Blues music.
