The Mississippi, one of the consecrated bands of Argentine blues and rock, will celebrate 30 years on November 15, at 21. at the legendary Luna Park.

The band, headed by Ricardo Tapia, was formed in 1988 in the city of Florencio Varela (province of Buenos Aires, Argentina), with the idea of ??recreating the classical repertoire of blues, making its debut live in 1989. Soon they began to compose his own material, opening his discography in 1993 with Mbugi, which contained his great success, "Café Madrid". Since then, they have recorded fifteen albums, thirteen of them composed of their own material and two with versions of rock and blues classics, leaving a long list of songs in the hearts of the people: "Baggage Blues", "Mala transa" , "A drink to see better", "San Cayetano", "Búfalo", among others.

They have played throughout Argentina and in bordering countries such as Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil, as well as in Spain and Colombia, participating in national and international festivals. Among his most outstanding shows is the one performed with Eric Clapton in the stadium of River Plate (Buenos Aires), in October 2001. In addition, they shared the stage with John Mayall in the Gran Rex theater; with B.B. King at the Obras Stadium; participated in the two editions of the Alligator Blues Festival (from Buenos Aires and Montevideo); the festival Rock al Parque in Bogotá (Colombia), and opened for Buddy Guy at the Teatro Gran Rex, on his last visit to Argentina.

La Mississippi is one of the oldest and most prestigious bands in Argentine rock. Both at the musical level and at the summons, the band is at its best professional and creative moment. They have played throughout the Argentine territory and in bordering countries like Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil, as well as in Spain and Colombia, participating in national and international Festivals. Creedence Clearwater Revisited (at the Estadio Obras), both editions of the Alligator Blues Festival, both performed in the same stadium, sharing stage with artists like Koko Taylor, Tinsley Ellis and Kenny Neal, in The Uruguayan Blues Festival with Katie Webster and Vasti Jackson, at the Jazz & Blues Festival in Buzios, Brazil, at the Rock al Parque festival in Bogotá, Colombia, and at the Nescafe Blues Festival in Brazil, together with Robben Ford , Robert Cray, Ronnie Earl, Eric Burdon and many others.
