Their musical style has been influenced by the sounds of the 60's through 90's as they bring a unique approach to each of their releases by featuring some of the best Filipino artist. Founded by Larry Gabbert - Drums and Mark Ervie de Jesus - Guitars. The band is rounded out with Ado Bantula - Vocals, Darlene Ordanza - Vocals, Michael Odoño - Vocals, Grace Collamat - Keyboards and Jeremy Miranda - Bass. The band has also featured guest musicians in some of their tracks.

The Adventures of Badass Jane is the latest release from the band. The 7 scene musical journey is focused on the lyrical aspect of the story behind the album. The creative process of this album was a multi-stage process and started with the creation of Badass Jane and the story of how she came about which was incorporated in the first scene. The album takes the listener on a story of a young girls wish, growing up, love, marriage and the troubles of life that we face. The album makes the point (be careful what you wish for) and shows the strength of love between two people standing by each other in the darkest of times up to their death in just under 27:00 minutes.

'High On Maybe' is the debut album of Chase Shelleé. Although Chase Shelleé is currently living in Orlando, she is originally from the Philippines. As an original jazz and blues songwriter with her own band, she travels throughout Florida bringing her smokey soulful voice to the best jazz clubs around. Her debut album compiles stories that reflect on her eclectic travels and people she has met across the globe.

"This debut album deals greatly with the past, but at its very center suggests a possibility of taking back whatever power or light was either taken from us or we so foolishly, or naively, gave away. “Meri” is dedicated to my friend Meri Williams, whose light was extinguished far too early. It is written out of respect for her and out of empathy for what she battled. “High On Maybe” is dedicated to my mother, whose fiery compassion and fearless love have literally saved my life. Each song is an intimate friend, but I know you will find your own stories in them, or yourself, use them how you will."

For a band that’s plowed through the blues circuit both here and abroad, brought home major wins from international competitions and been invited to play in prestigious festivals, it’s hard to believe the nearly four-year-old blues trio is just coming out with their first album. The title echoes Stephen Crane’s classic war novel “The Red Badge of Courage” but the similarity ends there. Where the novel tells the story of a deserter wanting to make amends for his cowardice, Bleu Rascals’ debut speaks volumes about facing up to challenges, in life and in love, to achieve a pre-set goal.

Said vocalist/guitarist Paul Marney Leobrera, now 21 (he began jamming with local blues stalwarts at age 16): “Kay Sir Tom Colvin po yung concept for the title. It actually gave me an idea for a new song on the album.” Tom is the tireless promoter of local blues band and heads Blues Asia Network. ~Tony Maghirang
