Five paths, one single emotion: the living blues. Coming from very different musical backgrounds, the Five Bluesmen blend their experiences into a vibrant and original blues sound. With Blues Factory, their third album, the group affirms its identity: authentic, generous, and profoundly human. Ray Perelli, singer and rhythm guitarist, is the driving force behind the band. Ray discovered B.B. King at age 13 and was never the same after that: the blues became his language.
After years of playing various styles (notably with the Dixie Cats), he founded Five Bluesmen in 2010. Alongside him, Elvis, the lead guitarist, joined the adventure from the very beginning after an impromptu concert - no rehearsal, just instinct and passion. Jérôme Frulin, the Parisian bassist from the cult band Sales Majestés. Eric Flayecasse, the Belgian drummer, infuses the rhythm section with his unique energy. As a regular guest Élie Coquard, a well-known professional harmonica player in France and Belgium, breathes his soul into their music.
Personnel: Ray Perelli (vocals, rhythm guitar); Elvis Chambrey (lead guitar); Jerome Frulin (bass, lap steel guitar); Eric Flayecasse (drums). Guests: Stephane Verdura (piano, Hammond organ); Elie Coquard (harmonica).
