The Kieron McDonald Combo deliver authentic wild Rockabilly, Hillbilly Bop and Rock’n’Roll music in the traditional 1950’s style.
Kieron sings and writes his own songs, mixing his love of American 50's Rockabilly and Country music with his own Aussie style to produce a fresh and distinctive sound.
He started out as the singer/songwriter and Rhythm guitarist for Melbourne's Rockabilly outfit the "Flatfoot Shakers" in 1998. After 10 years with the band playing gigs all over Australia and overseas he moved to Germany and formed his own 4 piece combo. For 3 years they played all the biggest and best festivals in Europe including The Rockabilly Rave (UK), High Rockabilly (Spain), Viva Las Vegas (USA) and many more.
Now back in Australia, Kieron has teamed up with some of Melbourne’s finest Rockabilly musos including Dave “The Kid” Cantrell, famous on the Aussie Rockabilly scene, a guitarists that plays in a true authentic 1950’s style.
The Rhythm section includes Andrew Lindsey, (undoubtedly one of the most experienced and sort after roots drummers on the scene today), and Til Vex known to everybody simply as “Snappy”.
These cats are a solid addition to the combo, complimenting Kieron’s style of Roots music.
