"The Kingbees started as a trio in Lousiana's R & B pop style. Piano, saxophone and drums. This was in spring 2003. But quite soon, it knocked on the repository door, and perhaps the end of the last jazz-influenced "professor" in vintage music climbed. Mr Slapbas, Klas Henriksson, became the fifth part and brought the rock movie into the band.
This setting also became The Kingbees signum. Several influences melted down to a spice in Lee Ericson's compositions, and with a little humility we bring out the best of ourselves. In the spring of 2004, the band got a record contract and in June of the same year, the song "Big Boys N 'Pink Ladies" was in the Swedish top for six weeks. The Kingbees has been touring in Sweden, Norway, Finland, at festivals in Belgium and Holland." (Translated from Swedish.)
