Rama Bluesband from Östersund in the north of Sweden
started in 1995 but only two members remain from the
original lineup. However, we have been playing pretty much
the same kind of rough blues all the time. The last few years
we have had excellent support from our new young members,
Per and Johan, but it really took off when Magnus joined the
band. He brought his own songs and a touch of soul. That, in
combination with Per's somewhat jazzier sound, makes
Rama not just "another blues band".
We have tried to bring about a live feeling by recording
everything together at once in the studio. That was our way to
achieve what we like to think is a specific Rama beat and
sound.
