The concept "Guitarmageddon" saw the light of day in the summer of 2010 when the super guitarists Vidar Busk, Knut Reiersrud, Ronnie Jacobsen and Amund Maarud came together to make a booking appearance at Hamar MusicFestival, Norway. From stage the guitarists handed out a whirlwind of a concert performance that resulted in a musical explosion creating an echo throughout the Norwegian music industry.
Since its inception in 2010, four new guitarists have endorsed the concept and Guitarmageddon network at present consists of: Frode Alnæs, Lars Håvard Haugen, Ronnie Jacobsen, Amund Maarud, Vidar Busk, Knut Reiersrud, Kid Andersen and Kjetil Grande. All are considered to be among Norway's leading guitarists in their genre.
Guitarmageddon launched their debut album "Electric Circus" in November 2011, and all from the Guitarmageddon network are represented here. Together with some eminent guest artists they have contributed their interpretations of famous cover songs.
