Tubesnakes is a Norwegian blues rock band, with its main base in western Norway. The band was formed in 1994 and has throughout the years toured large parts of Norway as well as parts of the United States. Tubesnakes has released more albums. This has, among other things, led to Tubesnakes in 1 place on radio hit lists in the United States together with Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Tubesnake's first album "Tubesnakes" came out in 1998 and was strongly inspired by the front figure and guitarist Lars Wat's passionate feelings for the Texas-inspired electric blues with some sensors into the British blues from the 60's. The album was recorded in a small studio in Haugesund with Graham Smith behind the levers.

The next album came in 2001 and was named "Texas Minded". This was a bit more rocky and partially recorded in Austin, Texas, USA. The studio "Pawn Shop Studio" is located in one of Austin's back streets with lots of shells and history. The studio is 100% analog and owned by Mark Ford. 5 songs were recorded with Grammy winner Mark Nathan behind the levers. The rest of the album was recorded at "Lydloftet" in the island of Ølen, now known as ABC studio, by Kjetil Ulland, who is perhaps the most famous for being the man behind Bjørn Berge's productions. On this album, the two eminent Texas guitarists Alan Haynes and John McVey were instrumental in addition to the mouthpiece phantom Jan Flaaten from Haugesund. The album has received good reviews in the media. (Translated from Norwegian.)
