Formed in San Francisco in 1998 the members of Albatross are all veterans of the Bay Area club scene. They all have been friends for years and had performed together in other bands but never as a unit. They decided to form a band and play the music that they love, not being influenced by any current styles or trends in the music industry. The result, "Blues Landing" their first album, a unique blend of rock and blues with jazz influences all rolled together to form the sound of Albatross.
